When do you expect to have the option to turn off lights during the day? Maybe an option to click to turn them off. They use lots of energy and it would be nice to be able to turn them off say if you already have a firepit going or during a full moon.

this is a smart idea it is very usefull in a crowded server or base when the cam fire runs out

Is there any way to increase the radius of the light? I don't know if its hard to not, but the current radius is so shit, a torch is better.

@HaNzZaiLa, yes they did, spotlights now prefer characters without any spotlight, but if everybody already has one, they default to the old behaviour. This is, in fact, better than the behaviour I gave them in the former version of this mod.

@Dragonknight951, to be fair, the "non-spotlight lights" thing is mostly preference, the spotlights are already very very useful since the patch. And I'm glad Klei did upgrade them, they're not deaf to their playerbase :)

and despite Klei actually "fixing them" they still haven't Fully fixed them despite it being easy enough that a modder could do it in, How long did it take you? not to say modders can't surpass the talent of game Devs (just look at the most well loved/anticipated examples such as the Long war mods from Xcom, and the currently unreleased but super hyped Beyond Skyrim) im just saying you expect the game devs to at least look at the fact someone has literally laid out the problems in front of them (most popular mod since the Winona update came out) that they would Fix them all in a comprehensive balance patch.
i'm just kinda confused about how they added a Priority system for the spotlights to prioritize players who don't have a light on them, but can only detect Spotlight light sources. You would think it to be easier if they made them Check if the player has light or not rather than Specifically looking if they have Spotlights on them.

Pretty sure Klei added this in today's patch, because none of my maps actually work with this mod (no worries it can be disabled). Anyway if this is the end of this mod than it was a pleasure to use it.

The spotlights are even smarter now, they consider whether or not you have a torch, firepit, etc.!

@Speratus, I just fixed a bug with spotlights running out of power. Is that possibly related to what you described?

@A.P.Erson, I'm afraid that'd chew too much into the hosts processing power for my liking. Maybe as an option...

Cool concept HOWEVER if there are more than 2 players the spotlights seem to get stuck in one place making them even even more useless than without this mod. This isn't supposed to be a hate comment (because I love this idea and because Klei was lazy to add such a thing).

I had an idea, what if currently-not-pointing-at-players lights would instead point at random monsters or groups of, to act like an enemy detection system, to point at enemies that you can't see yet for fighting to be easier.

@nyanguy that'd be bad if you're fighting bq or dragonfly cause if it's based on flat numbers then the catapult would target lavae/grumble bees over the boss. if it's based on percentages then it would prob work ok

It would be cool to have something like guarding spotlights rather than Shineonme. There's a lot things already to keep you light you up, but Light up incoming dogs sounds much more interesting.
