so they work if theyre not the first power source on a grid. Also, they randomly stopped animating

Just looked on the bug reporting site and it seems everyone is having the same issue, only 1 turbine is working on any grid. Keen say they are working on it...

going off what you guys are sayin it seems like whatever the update was today broke the wind turbines im haveing the same issue witht hem aswell and it was confusing me as tehy were workin last night when i played but not today and i noticed there was a small update but it doesnt say anything about it only reason i noticed was due to it being in my downloads page

Just tested in an frisk starsystem, no mods, it also does it with vanilla turbines. So the problem must not be the mod. (did PC reboot also)

I've just had the same issue. I had originally placed 4 on top of each other working fine, I loaded in to my world today and the first/lowest is spinning but now the other 3 say the clearance is None. I've removed them, replaced them, but only the lowest one now spins.

Only the first windturbine i place down is spinning.
Even though it is connected to 1 large bat and ref with speed modules and assembler with speed modules.
Anyone seen the same problem?

Now if only I could get my DLC disabler mod to work right. I can't figure it out. :/ Some items can't be disabled it seems. I just hope that modders like yourself, when they make DLC versions of mods, they make them as separate additions so that people can choose to opt out of DLC.

Thank god for not touching the DLC. I'd hate to have to unsub when this mod required DLC.

On a side note, you can make DLC versions and then make your DLC cube blocks take that DLC by adding the same <DLC> tag to the cube blocks of the modified DLC items, then have the mod require a DLC to subscribe. I'd say make it a separate version though and keep the block groups separate too.

Some planets have atmosphere but no oxygen.. It will work anywhere that the vanilla wind turbine works.

Any chance of adding a config\setting so we can edit how much power it produces? Gate made one for vanilla blocks and now I can't play without it. But I like how these stack.

Did more testing, Panel Hinge, Pole parts, and Pocket Gear show up properly in the controller menu, sorry.

Hello. I'm using this mod on PC, but with an XBOX controller. Stackable wind turbines and Panel Hinges don't show up in the controller build menu (wheel), but Pole Parts do. The mods show when looking at the full inventory (G on keyboard), and work properly. I don't have any idea how to troubleshoot this, if it can be fixed, or how much of a pain it would be to fix.

I tried loading just the MA mods on a new save file, and tried the mod.io version, all seem to have the same problem for me. Thanks

I found out the problem, I had a 2nd wind turbine mod loaded and it interfered with this one causing my problems. This mod works fine, sorry about the confusion AutoMcDonough

Just noticed the output on these turbines is way down, about 1/3 to 1/4 of what it used to be and as you add more than one it goes down further.

I'm sorry, I'm dumb. The issue was that my base wasn't drawing much power. The decrease in output was due to more turbines on the grid, meaning less needed from each. My apologies!

strange. i'm doing testing and not seeing this. I have 1 all by itself and it outputs the same as a tower of 4. The output does vary over time but by comparison the same.

I'm experiencing the same issue as sedman regarding the stacking of the turbines. One by itself on the 15m pole was generating 150 W, while four stacked together were ~30 apiece.

If I place single turbines I get max power, but after stacking them, the generation is divided between those each turbine in the stack, as if the game is now scanning vertically.
Is this a (known or unknown) conflict with other mods?
Thanks for your efforts, especially with the pole parts - its a crime they are not in vanilla.

It wasn't loading correctly for sure, did search for it. But removing and adding it a few times fixed it. Not sure why it didn't load correctly. Thanks for helping :D

I'll keep an eye on them for a couple days, see if I can find a pattern. It's a fairly new world, I only have 4 turbines powering a stone drill rig and little else. There's nothing else going on yet.

the block config is a literal copy of keen's. no scripts or anything. no idea what would cause this. I would place a normal one and see if the same happens to it, perhaps you found a bug? Also give it a few minutes just to make sure you didn't happen to find it when the wind isn't blowing.

I've had all my stacked turbines stop working on world load lately, until I grind and replace them. I've already cleared out the mod cache twice, and there don't seem to be any errors on load. Anything else could should try?

There is no sensible way to impose such a limit without some fancy scripting. I think most people just don't do this because it would look really stupid.

have you considerred limiting the number of wind turbines that you can stack on top of one another? i ask this because afterr a point it gets to where it can compete with a nuclear reactor
