Should you ever update this again, maybe blue-ish beams for set items could still be added. They are hard enough to spot in the game with their default text color. I'd do it by myself, but these particle files in the mod are quite cryptic and I don't understand how they work.

*Mod updated :) Please give me some feedback on this if you can. Probably won't make a big difference after all these years as this mod is probably used more in various modpacks than on its own but oh well...

A few people over the years have asked that i make the beams brighter and thicker. After seeing the excellent new D3 Beams I thought I should update this mod :P
Minor update coming soon. The beams should be easier to see and extend all the way to the top of the screen.

Great idea! Diablo 3 is known to have unique beam on legendaries on ground. Now you can see it on Torchlight 2 as well.

Fixing the disappearing items problem might be a good idea. What UI mods are you using?

Yeah thanks man, the other problem i realised today is that I think if i mess around with the individual items they will disappear if the mod is removed.. Could cause a bit of trouble hehe

It would really make for a nice effect. It's your mod, if you want to put in the work to do it.. I think it would be pretty sweet. I'm enjoying your mod thus far.

Also, I found out a way to make unique items show up on the minimap when they drop, as well as a thunder sound when they fall on the ground.
The only problem is that I'd have to edit every single unique and legendary item in the game.
So is anyone keen for me to do this? Heh I thought I'd ask before taking hours to do it :)

Just fixed a little misalignment I noticed with the purple beam.

Sweet new update :D

Just added to the mod to make the unique beams more special. All level items that drop (like chest keys) now have a purple beam to match their item text colour.
So now only unique items and legendaries will have that orange beam.

I agree with the guy below. My pipe dream is for a modder to make this for Legendaries, but have the beam be much wider, and make some badass lightning sound or something :D

Yeah It'd be cool to have a different sound. Not sure how to do it though..
The UI is DarkUI with diablo2 orbs, plus diablo font. I added on the dark charge bars from the dragon themed UI. I can't remember who amde that one.

O and i just saw the health bars and mana bar in screen shots can someone point me as to where i can get that mod? looks bad ass same with xp and fame bar
