@Saleh : Edit WASDHotkeyFix.sql and remove the "--" in front of the two lines that mention 'CONTROL_SAVE_NORMAL'. Change KB_S to a different key (that's not being used for something else). The second line ("CtrlDown = 1") will require Ctrl to be pressed in conjunction with your new key. You can change Ctrl to Alt or Shift, or add additional lines for multiple modifier keys.

Great mod, thank you. But ctrl+S is disabled now. Any way I can save game using hotkey (not quick save, just save the game)?

This Mod literally saved my game ..
I can't play any game without WASD
but many key has gone like space to " do nothing " and many other key
But despite this prb, it is the best thing
and I use only this mod in my game ..

This mod is insane, I had no idea the engine would even support this

This mod is amazing , I had it installed forever but not enabled because am new to the game and wanted to finish some achievements, but you can actually get this one to work with achievements using the MP workaround mod , both work well together , thanks!

This mod works great, if its not working for you remember to go into your game through the mod, not through the main menu. Only works in Single Player. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! :)

you people are doing it wrong, sub to the mod, then when you get the game running you click on mods and enable the mod and hit next, then when it configures the game data you click on singleplayer in the same box (dont press back) and either start a new one or load a save.

i didnt see multiplayer in the box and ii dont do the multiplayer anyway so i dont know if this mod works in that or not.

FYI, the only way I could get this mod to work was by downloading and installing manually from the author (https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/camerarotation-and-wasd-controls-bnw.21638/) AND by replacing the original WorldView.lua file with the one downloaded. Subscribing through the workshop didn't work, and just manually putting the mod contents in the MODS folder didn't work. (Yes be sure to enable the mod too)

@Nutzzz I do have BNW, and this was the first mod I used. I even tried all the other variations of this mod separately to see if it was my DLC that was making the mistake and none of them worked.

@Cahleeeb : Do you have BNW? Are you using another mod that changes WorldView.lua?

I have this installed but nothing happened, it just didn't work. I enabled it in the Mods menu but still nothing

Not working at all. Running G+K and BNW, done all the steps in the troubleshooting guide you posted plus verifying game files and still nothing. Do I need both the G+K and BNW versions for it to work or...?

@Nutzzz, I have done the edit for Civ6, thanks. I also started using CQUI and they have their own WASD there.

@Raven_2012: I don't have a lot of time for modding, and I haven't explored Civ6 modding too far yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to do.

As for standalone WASD... To be frank, why? Just don't rotate. ;-) Have you hit the rotation buttons by accident? Note that the only reason they're in one mod is that they both require changing the same file, and would otherwise be incompatible.

Could you also do a standalone WASD without the camera rotation?

Could you make a WASD for Civ6? I think its more need there too, because edge scrolling isn't perfect.

Without more information, I'm not sure how to help. Just to be sure, by "for sure activated" you went to the MODS menu, checked the circle, hit NEXT, then started a new game or loaded an existing one? [Unlike many other mods, you should be able to load this one with existing games].

It does not work for me. It's the only active mod, and the mod is for sure activated.

@TheJoker116: I'm guessing you hit Back after enabling the mod rather than Next...?

It's not working at all. I tried it on the Civ 5 bundle I got from Humble bundle, with all DLCs and expansions included but I still can't get it to work, despite the mod being enabled in the mods menu. Did I miss anything?

Sure, I understand. I am not Civ5 expert, but we can meet one day on Steam and try step by step installation on mac with your help. with screensharing etc. Ill try to follow your rest of comments later on.

AFAIK, it should work with a Mac (it doesn't use a custom DLL), but I haven't personally tested it. "havin issue" isn't very helpful. Can you be more clear? Do other mods work for you?

I'd like to see the WorldView.lua from a Mac (in the Assets folder of the game installation folder, in the location mentioned in the compatibility note above) to ensure they're not using a slightly different syntax to hook the keys. Can you post the contents to pastebin or put it up on a file sharing site?

Is this mod for PC only? Trying to install in on Mac and havin issue, anybody tried?

As for the various expansions, see the link in the description above: "Also see the WASD and non-WASD versions for vanilla Civilization V, Gods + Kings, Brave New World, and Civ V Unofficial Patch."

As for the other DLCs, it doesn't matter.
