hey nice mod but i would like this mod to be used with the "Scope with Goggles" mod, this mod allow you to use night vision with scopes but your scopes aren't compatible

@TheGhosT29, what needs to happen is that both you and the server are running this mod. It's ACE compt issue as far as i know.

Hmm something is f***ing up my fav sights.
When leaning to left or right, the whole optic is getting tilted... Any idea why i got this visual anomaly? It work fine until yesterday

Have a word with the 3CB lads, this addon hasnt been updated for ages. 3CB has been updated periodically so odds are its down to them.

But the error suggests RKSL Attachments is not being loaded. Or its being loaded after 3CB.

Would be great if you could take the version number out of the name though, because every time you change version steam sees it as another mod and we end up with a folder in our addons for each version. (Also shorter mod names are better)

I'd just like to let you know that this mod could be made simpler to work with on Linux servers if all filenames were downcased from the start. As it is, it doesn't seem to work unless I go in and downcase all the filenames as otherwise they aren't found by the Arma3 executable. Just a heads up! :steamthumbsup:

I cant do anything about your Arma3 sync. Thats out of our control.

I would assumed this "RKSL Studios - Attachments v3.02" is the proper one.

I did tweak the description a while back to test a claim about something in the names/description causing problems on linux servers. But not the PBOs.

Note the subtle difference in the naming convention?
Can you say which is the correct and most updated one?

The slide-mounting RMR will work on any pistol compatible with asdg_PistolOpticMount. With CBA running it should fit on the vanilla 4Five
Rail-mounting RMRs should also fit on any pistol compatible with asdg_PistolOpticRail1913, which includes the Zubr revolver when running CBA
There are community pistols that use the above named asdg rail slots, so will also take the RMR but I can't recall exactly which community addons I have seen them working with (Tier One Weapons, SPS Weapons and NIArms are probably a good bet).
RHS Glocks and Grach don't have any kind of optics slot, so don't accept these RMRs (I work on RHS aside from making this attachment pack, so of this I am certain)

Maybe so but I was never able to reproduce it when I tried it. And in the past the issue has been resolved with stopping people renaming PBOs to what they think they should be.

Anyway, thank you for reporting. I'm sure others will find your information useful.

Well I'm using Ubuntu on my test server and I dont have the issue unless i change the file names so im not sure what to say.

Looking at the up to date /addons folder, all filenames are uppercase. The file causing the issues is "RKSL_PM_II.pbo" since the server tries to load "rksl_pm_ii.pbo", since POSIX is case sensitive this will not work. I assume it holds true for all the files of the mod since they are all uppercased.

On POSIX you can have multiple files with the same name differing only in case, on WIN32 you can not.

No, that actually fixed it and is also mentioned in the bohemia docs. The error is caused by the filenames being uppercase first hand while in the server stdout it asks for a lowercase path.

Yes, i am using an Envoy that simply initializes the server and installs the software right from steamcmd and symlinks them. I added a step to lowercase all files but out of the antistasi 3CB modpack your mod is the one that makes it crash, was some file with _ii not being found since they are uppercase on the disk.
I am using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Hetzner image, all up to date and it is not my first linux machine. If you want, i can setup a docker image that replicates the error when i find the time.

AND are you 100% sure you are using the exact files from this download on the server AND the client. That was the problem with at least 4 of the other tickets.

Can you please use consistent file paths? Linux is case sensitive and your mod incompatible.

<3 the mod dude thanks for all your work. One quick technical request, next time you update can you please remove the colon from the name in the mod.cpp so it matches the mod folder name. It just causes issues sometimes when creating modlines for the server.

I've got a question, I would Like to use your mods for a Arma 3 Modded RP server we work on right now.
I wanted to ask something about the Following point you mention in the EULA

We wondered if Commercial use includes all Donations, or just Donations which afterwards give the Donators of a server some ingame stuff.
We wouldn't give anything like Ingame Stuff or Teamspeak/Discord Roles in exchange for Donations.
They would be completely on a voluntarily Base without any benefits

Is it forbidden to use it that way? there would be no profit since we would make the donation and Money use transparent so everybody can see it would all go back into the server with non-profit.

I tried making a 3D version of the 4x optic of the LDS even before the 1.00 release of the addon, and it just doesn't look good at all.
The shape of the optic simply isn't well suited to it, because it's a long-ish tube with narrow inset parts and a wide eyepiece, so you get a relatively narrow view through the scope with a lot of black shadow outside it taking up most of the eyepiece. Also, using proper 4x magnification doesn't work well on 3D scopes (most 3d scopes you will see in Arma 3 are no more than 2-3x) so they're nerfed in some way compared to the capabilities of the real optic

If I was to remake the scope, I would make alterations from the real optic to accommodate that, and make the eyepiece relatively narrow compared to its real life counterpart (it's advise I gave to Soul Assassin when he was making the Elcan SpecterDR from RHSUSAF with my assistance). But I don't really intend on remaking any of these optics models.

Love the mod, my unit uses the 12x and 25x optics as well as the LDS as our standard optic. Is there any chance of a 4x 3D version of the LDS? Like the vanilla RCOs where the scope is transparent and 3D and you can look through, etc. as in not PIP?
