does this works with UWE?
Dr. Igor Dolvich 11. feb. kl. 20:51
Great job with this mod, I love trader style playthroughs and it's very fun to explore regions and try to find the best buy/sell deals besides just doing drug smuggling, etc.

Thank you! :cactusrum:
Dr. Igor Dolvich 11. feb. kl. 20:49
@Melgio

Theoretically yes, although you'd probably want to put UWE *after* this mod (UWE takes priority), so you could theoretically use both. Although, you'd probably need to make a patch to affect the various new factions if you want 100% compatibility.

I may end up trying this out as well for UWE for the Roleplay collection whenever I get a chance.
melgio 5. feb. kl. 4:16
Would this be compatible with UWE? as it also affects trade cultures
NotFresh 27. jan. kl. 3:00
2.0x standard price modifiers on goods this sucks, you get rich too fast. I highly don't recommend to any player new and return alike.
Cian 23. sep. 2024 kl. 14:32
I ran a caravan from western hive villages to the nearest UC city... spent 50k on luxury stuff. Sold for 200k. Could have done more if I had visited more villages to buy more goods before heading to UC.

Seems a little bit over tuned. More conservative prices, like -25% and +50%, would make trading guaranteed profitable without being able to multiply your money by 4 for a one way trip.
CuervoGris 22. aug. 2024 kl. 18:46
Jonny Joumba 22. aug. 2024 kl. 18:38
Random question ; I found a Shek lady with stats in the 30, hired for 12500 cats with a backstory related to being ditch by her caravan. I don't know if it's the base game (unlikely) or from a mod haha. Could it be from this one?
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2024 kl. 19:42
@LARVA Should be, don't know what the trade situation would be like after all the world-states are flipped though.
Coco 12. juli 2024 kl. 12:25
Compatible with reactive world?
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2024 kl. 22:09
@[CD]Grubby It adds in some extra +/-% price multipliers on different trade goods, dependent on the faction/region. Means you can make more money trading, and know ahead of time roughly where a profit can be turned (as opposed to having to check each settlement individually for prices).
Grubby 19. juni 2024 kl. 3:01
so what exactly does this mod do?
PapaStalin 16. feb. 2024 kl. 1:40
Question is did you test it out? Or were you like me, only realising after trading around the continent 3 times
penguin 15. feb. 2024 kl. 7:49
PapaStalin I did exactly the same thing :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
PapaStalin 12. feb. 2024 kl. 3:37
Me: Notes the guide 50% fish profit from the hive to the shrek kingdom
My brain: " What a great idea!"
Me: Does a test, goes to hive, buys great fish at 300+, goes to admag to sell for 250
Me: "Crap."
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 8. feb. 2024 kl. 14:34
@Bir Dilim Ekmek, yep, it should do.
Bir Dilim Ekmek 8. feb. 2024 kl. 10:29
Is it work with "Sensible Nutrition - A Food Overhaul" by Rebitaay
Trex 31. okt. 2023 kl. 12:39
need import when I have 5 days of game?:albino_trait:
Bad Poisonx 3. okt. 2023 kl. 20:13
I see, thank you for the response!
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2023 kl. 20:10
@BadPoisonX, no it can't change your own shops, which is a little annoying. It's the way the whole system works. You can think of it as there being a discount if the NPCs buy directly from the workshops :P It's still worth your while leveraging hydro to produce rare goods in biomes, because of how easy it is to then ship them and sell for the markup when you're right next door.
Bad Poisonx 2. okt. 2023 kl. 22:49
so does this change prices for selling just to vendors, or for your own shops as well? cause in my inventory or in my shop it doesn't change so im gonna assume not, however I just wanted to ask.
KirrieD 28. dec. 2022 kl. 1:42
Hi, can I use your mods in my build?
Extra Long Honkers 30. nov. 2022 kl. 7:11
I am using Kenshi Mod Manager and the description of this mod says, "This mod couldn't be loaded, maybe is corrupted or a empty folder, check the error.log and the mod folder..."

Just wondering if anyone one has had a similar issue? I tried re-DLing and all that.
LupusVir 7. sep. 2022 kl. 16:00
@jbra1 That's true, I did consider afterwards that the value that the description attributes to them may already be reflected in their base price.

Another suggestion I thought of yesterday is that the tech hunters and machinists might pay a little more for stuff you find in ruins, since if you talk to Iyo in World's End, he tells you to be sure to bring them any old world artifacts you find instead of selling them elsewhere. A small price increase might be their incentive to bring stuff to them first. But it wouldn't be too large since they of course have their own people to go out and find artifacts. They'd pay less for that stuff than the skeletons would, but are more easily accessible if you need to offload some items. Just a thought.

Thanks for the communication!
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2022 kl. 3:32
@LupusVir, nice idea, I like how it ties into the description. I want the mod to reward shrewd business thinking based on knowledge of the island, and make trading not so trial and error. But, aren't they already quite valuable? It'd be a pure nerf for the other trade cultures' prices (which makes sense, only the UC nobles consider it a delicacy, so it's just trash everywhere else). But when I tried a similar thing for fog prince heads (nerfing rather than buffing) people got annoyed because it closed down their play styles, rather than opening up new ones - the low cost commodities getting a buff opens new things up, high cost commodities getting nerfed closes them down. I'll think on it. Maybe they can just get buffed, but because they're already quite high, might be game breaking money wise.
LupusVir 6. sep. 2022 kl. 20:53
Hey I have been enjoying this mod a lot, thanks for making it. I had a suggestion, should beak thing eggs be worth more in the UC? The description of the egg states that nobles pay a lot of money for them.
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 1. sep. 2022 kl. 19:16
@VULPΣ - Nope
Outlaw VULPE 1. sep. 2022 kl. 11:41
Does this conflict with the faction caravans mod?
Wameme 17. aug. 2022 kl. 3:35
alright, thanks, i'll figure it out eventually (or just learn to live with it)
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2022 kl. 3:25
@Wameme. Nope, this doesn't touch armor or weapon prices (that's a different system in the game, and isn't effected by 'trade cultures' which is all this mod tweaks).
Wameme 16. aug. 2022 kl. 1:50
is it this mod thats reducing the sell price of every non-trade good or something else? my weapons sell for like a tenth of what they usually would but i cant seem to find anything like that in the changes list, maybe im not looking hard enough
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2022 kl. 18:31
***Update*** Fog prince head price modifier in Mongrel removed. You can once again make millions staying in Mongrel. Food and medkit prices are still jacked.
Totenmaple 10. maj 2022 kl. 23:45
I came here to say the exact same thing as Frission, there's no reason Fog Prince heads should be affected as they are not a commodity, you are effectively being paid by the Mongrel authorities to take care of their problems. Really, Mongrel should be the ONLY place that buys Fog Prince heads for a good price, they shouldn't be EXPORTING them! You say you can still make 3k off them but in my game they sell for a measly 1000 cats at 19% value, that's not even worth the time to loot them. I agree that looting the dead ones at the gate is too easy but 1k is worth less than a can of grog
Smegma_Sage 20. mar. 2022 kl. 17:14
Cool mod but be warned. I'm not using this mod because some areas with good traders you go out of your way for such as the deadland's prosteics shop, scrap house etc have there prices doubled for the already top end stuff they sell.
Dogeasaurus Rex 19. jan. 2022 kl. 12:57
@frission depends where you're selling it I think
Frission 13. jan. 2022 kl. 23:04
I was loving this until I finally went to mongrel for the first time in my latest game and found a gigantic hole in the mod: FOG PRINCE HEADS SHOULD NOT BE AFFECTED BY THIS! >_< It's a bounty not a trade good!

So now I'm stuck with a seemingly permanant -80% trade value on fog prince heads in mongrel, even after disabling the mod. SIGH. :I
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2021 kl. 2:32
@Wolf-jesus. Oh dang, forgot about that. Seems flipping food might not be viable. No refrigeration in Kenshi (facepalm).
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2021 kl. 2:31
@Davi iirc these were tweaked in photoshop. But you can achieve the same thing easily using reshade - just boost the contrast and saturation slightly, and play with the temperature. Add film grain too.
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2021 kl. 2:28
@Lumidas, yes it works with Genesis, but it's not necessarily balanced for Genesis. For example, Genesis adds a lot of towns from different factions in diverse parts of the map, so it may no longer be true that you have to travel from one end of the island to the other to take advantage of buying at -50% and selling for +50%, there could be a new town nearby that uses the trade culture that used to be only found far away. Genesis makes a lot of things in the game's economy easier, so you can just chalk it up alongside those.
Lumidas 21. dec. 2021 kl. 10:54
Does this work with genesis?
Davi 19. dec. 2021 kl. 3:37
What mods/reshade are you running from those screenshots? They look good.
wolf-jesus 10. okt. 2021 kl. 1:06
hi @jbra1, thank you for this mod, I enjoy the expanded trade aspect very much. Lately I tried to buy fish from the Hives and sell them to the Shek. But the resell value for any food is so low (about 50% of buy price) it's not profitable at all (buy price 300+ vs. resell price 200+). Did I miss something or it is intended?
jbra1  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2021 kl. 19:28
@Pursu and @Hungry Lion. Wanted to implement something like that, but it's impossible. Faction relations can be boosted or dropped through dialogue events, but the game doesn't have a trigger for 'sold or bought' things, let alone volumes, so the only way to implement it is to have a small rep boost occur when the player selects the "Let's trade" dialogue option, but even not trying to cheese it, and playing full RP, a lot of the times you don't actually do any trading after checking out the inventory. So it'd be broken/too easy to accumulate rep for no reason.
Pursu 5. juli 2021 kl. 7:16
@Hungry Lion is onto something
WK_Dan 9. mar. 2021 kl. 17:04
Do we need to import the game for it to work?
Hungry Lion 24. feb. 2021 kl. 7:42
Trading with a faction should increase reputation, you bring stuff they need or buy stuff they produce and should have increasing relations with them. I mean I go to a supermarket all the time for groceries and everyone there knows me by now, just the other day I forgot my debit card and they let me keep my purchases and pay them another day.
VARG 28. jan. 2021 kl. 12:46
I cant afford that...
ShinUon 16. jan. 2021 kl. 9:41
Is there a mod that can accompany this by making certain types of region specific trade goods in other cities? For example, I can't seem to find Hemp anywhere except the regions that produce it.

It'd make crafting medical items like Standard First Aid Kits and Splinting Kits more viable for your squad regardless of where your crafting station is based.

(Continued from previous comment)

zizluo 20. dec. 2020 kl. 6:43
@jbra1 Here is a slightly touched up Chinese translation, based on the previous one in the comments. It's not word for word but I think this would be easier to understand:
