For me, the mod hasn't worked for some time : it remains stuck on the original buildings and units, whatever civilizations. What manipulation could I do ?

The IA with Units for 5.8 may not be working on the campaigns other than the DLC campaigns, especially The Age of Kings and The Conquerors campaigns; I'm afraid...

The reason I found Seperated Elite Unique Units useful, was because I figured that you could make it so that normal Unique Units had the original AOE graphic, while the Elite rank had some of those many different kind of Unique Unit reskin mod that lays on Steam and other places. You gotta admit it sounds nice. Beside if you look on my previous comment I had the one with seperate EUU until Tuesday where I tried to use Advance Genie Editor to make a new technology to the NON-DLC gamedata mod. BUT when I tried to save I unfortunally pressed a wrong button so my project was saved under the name empires2_x2_p1 instead of empires2_x1_p1. Which meant I lost acces to ALL the DLC units EVER made. I therefore had to copy your gamedata file again and get all that back I had lost EXCEPT of cuarse for the Seperated EUU graphic. THAT is why I hope you have a way to help me.

I have to admit something. Thee is a way to make this thing work in the campaigns without "pre_load". Step 1: copy ALL the Slp files to the Steam\steamapps\common\Age2HD\resources\_common\slp folder.
Step 2: copy the "empires2_x2_p1.dat" file to the Steam\steamapps\common\Age2HD\resources\_common\dat folder.
bingo now this data file with independent units and buildings the default dataset and the pre_load are no longer needed. N.B.: everytime this mod is updated with new files and/or the empires2_x2_p1.dat file is modified you must repeat the steps to get the new ways to be default.

why was seperate grpahic for elite unique units so controversial that you took it away???. why not publish a seccondarry mod which had all what this mod has PLUS seperate graphic for Elite Unique Units. And if you don't I hope you can remember how you did it. Because then you can send a guide to k.moeller@godmail.dk. (I believe I can read it in English). I also promise you that those information will be kept private.

Nope. I couldn't code or model my way out of a house of papier-mâché. I am on DE off and on but this mod always added so much flavor to the units and buildings that it made the game almost like new.
I'm glad your still around and hope you and yours are doing alright.

Cheers mate.

Apparently there is a similar mod in progress on the mod page for AOE2 DE. So the author might be working on that, I'm not sure. If so, I don't know why he won't make a note on here explaining that.

Shame really. Once you've played with this mod it's jarring to go back.

(FYI, I don't speak mod) Can the architecture in DE even be modded? Does anyone know of any of the regular architecture mod makers working on something for DE? I really miss the sheer eye candy and variety of buildings and units in HD and wish they were in DE already.

I don't know why, but the mod seems to not load the architectures, but only the units skins.

I don't know if anyone is still working on this mod, but great work on it. I've been using it and it's older iterations for a long time and it's always worked great. I hope that all the drama and take downs in the aoe community doesn't ruin the best mod on steam for everyone.

The mod has stopped working for me.

It loads way too quickly (less than a second) when I click on the data set in the standard game menu and when the game starts I have the units from the recommended mod above but the buildings are just the vanilla ones.

I unsubscribed from everything that alters buildings and tried moving this mod around in the load order but nothing works. I verified the game cache but that didn't work.

On further inspection, the "enable" button on the mod manager is not pressable.

Thanks for the great mod and I hope you are feeling a little bit better about your work.

One could still do it for the peasants, if possible... I think that if this were done, someday someone would have taken them and created peasants for each nation, for this mod... Only if you decide to do this, please do not replace all peasants with men (as you did in your mod)

Hello Omkar, nice to see you here, I have a question for you, could you do for this mod, make it possible to replace monks for every civilization, as it was in your mod (which unfortunately has been deleted).... it would be great to see it here, I think many would appreciate it... and generally it would be possible to make an independent architecture for the dark age for all nations... Of course, it depends on your decision, I think it will take a long time to implement

Also @Cardoz89 Omkar was forced to take down his IA Compilation by pissy content creators (to whom he had already given credit, but were apparently dissatisfied with people learning about their work through any other channels other than their own)

TL;DR: yes the owners have the right to manage the use of their content, but a lot of them were a$$holes about it.

Praise be to Juggernaut for reverting the unique units to their defaults!

As much as I appreciate the work put into creating the golden sprites, I think it would be great as an IA/IU mod that allows people to choose the golden units if they want to use them, as opposed to being part of IA and having no option to play with the default appearances.
