Meh not really a fan of the lighter strip in the center.
Tiberius 1. nov. 2021 kl. 16:32
I have just tried the mod in game, I am unable to change the colors or strip light in general from my list while in game. unless i am missing something or an add on. please advice
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 12. aug. 2021 kl. 16:47
@kufber I can make extended 45 and 60 slopes at a +3 +4 lengths if that will cover your issue.
kufber 28. juli 2021 kl. 2:48
Is it possible to have lines on a slope without any other angles? I guess there has to be one part that is flat. I'd be nice if the strips were longer. I have a big ship with long areas of 45 degrees where there is a 2 block gap that this strip set won't cover. Thanks.

@Faydruh I've tried to figure out how keen applies it's weld/grind collisions and it just makes no sense. I had thought they based it on the collision model which I enlarged. Next I dumped the thin wireframe from the construction model as a test. Neither worked. Aside from enlarging the collisions again which would make a player run into invisible walls while walking on them.... I'll try a few other ideas.
FayDruh 9. sep. 2020 kl. 16:02
I remember with digi's "Advanced Welding - detaching and reattaching blocks!" it was really hard to target the blocks for welding, so digi set the welding area to the bounding box of the block. Idk how to do this but its a thing -shrug- Idk if you can get in contact with digi or find out how to do this but it is a solution to the welding issue, assuming it doesn't have unintended side effects like making the collisions non existent. Although, I think personally, as I user of this mod in survival would value welding these blocks over being able to run into them if I place them sticking out from things, so if that is actually the compromise, its not a bad one, in my eyes. Anywhooo, I have over used this mod since I first downloaded it, its something that just makes sense, lights really never do the job as perfectly as this mod does, I am glad you remade it :8bitheart:

Getting these errors on the server, not crash worthy but I thought you might like to know about them

11:22:50.7202 [WARN] Keen: BlockVariants are obsolete. Use block groups instead for block: MyObjectBuilder_CubeBlock/EmissiveDoubleSlope_Large
11:22:50.7202 [DEBUG] Keen: Created definition for: Emissive Double Slope
11:22:50.7202 [WARN] Keen: BlockVariants are obsolete. Use block groups instead for block: MyObjectBuilder_CubeBlock/EmissiveDoubleSlope_Small
11:22:50.7202 [DEBUG] Keen: Created definition for: Emissive Double Slope

Everything else is fine
Bazil T Yat 9. juli 2020 kl. 8:19
Do you happen to have an entirely-emissive block?
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2020 kl. 18:32
@argonavtica, Sorry for the late response but yes as you discovered this mod is a direct replacement for the original emissive strips mod and more have been added including small grid strips.
Argonavtica 1. juli 2020 kl. 2:55
...as I expect the basic ones taken over to have the same ID...
Argonavtica 1. juli 2020 kl. 2:46
I had the precursor emissive strip mod. When I replace it with yours, will the 'old' strips still exist under your mod, or will I have to lay them all again?
Dorimanx 14. juni 2020 kl. 6:01
we had ship with many stripes, no one could get near it, once it's loaded, client crashed.
i have removed mod, and problem was gone.
But i think we will add this mod again for testing, as it's really nice!

Thank you for updating the models!
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2020 kl. 14:10
I've finally adjusted the emissive values again and I tinkered a bit with some of the construction models in an attempt to get them easier to grind with little luck. I'm certain the grinding issue is the extremely small collision models I'm using that hugs the model itself to make these easy to fly around and through.

@Dorimanx I have not been able to reproduce any client crashes and none of these use LOD's as of yet since they are such simple models.
VS-lockon 15. maj 2020 kl. 19:23
that suck to hear
Dorimanx 20. mar. 2020 kl. 13:43
Hi, this mod has some of the stripes that crash client with error for rendering, probably LOD model error, many mods suffer from this now, after update to 194.
ARAURA 23. okt. 2019 kl. 12:29
@[GSF] Neimoh It seems Keen has again broken the recolourable emissive function.
Zeradus 20. okt. 2019 kl. 16:15
I cannot find a way to color the strips. They don't show up in the grid or anything.
superv6 30. sep. 2019 kl. 22:52
how do we go about changing colours of the strips mate
Shelby 14. juli 2019 kl. 3:27
The collision and hit boxes seem to be offset just slightly behind the strips. If you destroy the block behind them you can target them, but not before. Would you be able to fix this?
Kinza 2. juli 2019 kl. 14:57
why i cant change the paint of them ?
SkekDris 13. juni 2019 kl. 0:18
Yeah, something is wrong with it's hit box, I can't weld or grind them with and tools.
lowell 8. juni 2019 kl. 8:00
it's really hard to weld these now. any tips?
Tal Maru 15. maj 2019 kl. 19:25
I approve of this remake :D
Balmung 19. apr. 2019 kl. 8:11
Ok, i didn't tried it in combination with a collision box, my Carpet mod has no collision boxes.

To bad if it didn't work that way, i know your problem very well, used your stripes on my last Server 2 months ago and i really like it. Was a reason to do my Carpet mod that way i did.
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2019 kl. 18:18
@balmung the issue wouldn't be solved by a plate as welding /grinding needs to be able to intersect with the collision model which I have laid to the exact dimensions of the physical model to allow a player to create a passage out of these and fly through it. This allows people to create "disjointed" grids that are only connected via my strips.
Balmung 12. apr. 2019 kl. 20:12
There is a easy simple trick that i used on my carpet mod. I add a plate above it and give them a complete alpha mask texture to make it invisibe, but the game detect it and welding/grinding is much easier. Should work for your mod too.
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2019 kl. 19:45
@mookie I've made the collision models for these the exact dimensions of the meshes themselves to allow interesting design elements and the player can fly through the patterns instead of colliding with nothing. It's a realistic collision mesh essentially but it does make it a pain to weld/grind them as you need to hit the exact strip model.
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2019 kl. 19:43
Looks like Keen changed some variables in how texture channels are handled or something. I had to rebalance the channels but these are now fixed and recolorable again.
SEModder4  [udvikler] 8. apr. 2019 kl. 15:15
yup they are now locked to white regardless of what you choose. :(
The Feel Sage 8. apr. 2019 kl. 13:54
It looks like today's update broke the painting on these blocks. They are all white regardless of paint color. It looks like the glow around them is still colored though.
mookie1590 7. apr. 2019 kl. 12:44
Bump, I agree, the hit box is way to small
Also, pyrrhic. The best advise I could give. Is the hit box for these tends to be on the edge of a normal sized armour block. The outside diamater of a full block.
Pyrrhic 7. apr. 2019 kl. 1:14
These are extremely difficult to target. Can you make the hitbox larger? I can't seem to weld them
mookie1590 17. mar. 2019 kl. 19:39
I think these look really good unwelded. They almost look like wires.
Would it be possible to add another 1-2 build stages to add diffrent wire-ish looking blocks?
Coopertt 1. mar. 2019 kl. 13:28
i remember being able to do that
Coopertt 1. mar. 2019 kl. 13:27
was that this mod that did that?
Coopertt 1. mar. 2019 kl. 13:22
can no longer edit the color of reactor emissive
and other vanilla blocks
Zader64 25. jan. 2019 kl. 9:19
Great job !!!!
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. 2019 kl. 19:06
@hellgateLegion The original mod from tal maru actually had very glossy textures for some reason, which I could see causing some excessive gpu use. My textures have no gloss so that should be fixed.
AbsolomHellgate 21. jan. 2019 kl. 8:54
Here's to hoping it doesn't overheat my GPU like the last one did, however that WAS when I was using an outdated driver so who knows.
SEModder4  [udvikler] 20. jan. 2019 kl. 17:44
WOOT added photos of my ships to the end! :D
Neimoh  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. 2019 kl. 12:06
@e1k3 I do plan on adding 3x1 ramps so I can use them on my ramps mod. I just haven't got that far yet. The inverted corner is a block I seem to have missed. I'll play with some designs and try to come up with something pleasing to angle over then drop down the face.

El'T1tOs 20. jan. 2019 kl. 5:01
Nice!
e1k3 19. jan. 2019 kl. 13:36
would you consider adding corner / inverted corner pieces? another thing i'd enjoy is a (possibly standalone) version for modded slopes, like 3x1, 4x1, etc., but thats a bit more out there. thanks for a great mod anyway!
Multi 19. jan. 2019 kl. 11:13
I really like this mod, adds an amazing futurist touch to my builds. The only (small) gripe that I have with it is that it is a pain to grind a misplaced strip. Maybe you could increase the hitbox (is that what it should be called? Meh I'll use that) for the strips?
Props to the original creator and for you!
yellow51 19. jan. 2019 kl. 9:02
Do I see a KEEN logo there?
Skallabjorn 19. jan. 2019 kl. 8:19
Like the phoenix , rising from the ashes of a past life, Great Job !
_SD_ 18. jan. 2019 kl. 12:34
Nice job! BoB happy! ;)
ExaBitGaming 18. jan. 2019 kl. 10:57
How long has it been? too long? too long. good god I loved this mod.
filipe 18. jan. 2019 kl. 6:01
Now we can make tri-poliski and addidas ships!
+rep for u from slavic countries.
