@solverbolt, After you install the mod and launch the game, it will copy the mod to "steamapps\common\CraftTheWorld\mods\speedvator\". In this folder, there is a data folder that contains the controlling XML files. Edit the items.xml file to change the elevator speed. The game default is 2 and the mod is set to 8. Changing it to 3 or 4 will provide a speed boost over stock, but hopefully without any serious glitches.

@Happy Camper. Which file did you edit to reduce the speed. Because even now, its still having issues

Гномы все время застревают в лифте, приходится вытаскивать их оттуда вручную. Раздражает )) Снес мод. Может стоит протестировать мод как следует, прежде чем выкладывать?

had to remove it, because it would glitch out regularly, and corrupt the game, so that dwarves would be stuck permanently in one spot till they starved to death

I ended up reducing the speed of the elevator in the mod to 4 and it seems to work a lot better now.

I appreciate the mod. It seems a bit buggy though and dwarves keep getting stuck on the elevator waiting for it or manage to get on the elevator and go up and down very slowly and hitch along the way. Any ideas?
