Lvl 3 walls still only have 2 to 4 hp, does that sound right? Also enemies just walk through them.

Is there some mod that does not alter walls but how much damage is dealt to them? Just saw a hungry bandit with no weapons do 20 dmg to my gate.
There's a reason sieges happened, you know?

is anyone else having issues with enemies walking through gates? dinit have this issue till i tried getting a gate mod yet this is the only one i can find i have installed, i THINK this may be causing the issue i just want somebody elses say in it before i uninstall and try to work around it.

I will never understand the masochistic desire to have to panic every time some bloody wasteland morons stroll up to a permanent town. You build walls round a town precisely so you don't have to defend strongly. If you have any remote aspirations to realism then it should work.

Or I should say I don't know why people seem to attached to it but just for bases. Why not have armour that falls apart too?

Works, but that is too much , will try to mod it to 2x, 3x, 3x ... or Tower defense is a joke ... with this mod, you could somehow even kill a whole raid, with a crap bow

The mod works. The only reasons it wouldn't be working for some are user error or misconception:

- Any buildings/walls/gates added through mods will not be affected; only vanilla ones will be affected.

- According to my testing, it will still raise the maximum condition if you don't import, but the current condition will be left at default, meaning everything affected will need to be repaired to the new maximum.

- Short walls (as in the small segments of any wall type) only have 1 hp in vanilla, and when this mod updates existing structures, even by importing, walls are not raised to full condition for some reason; only their max condition is raised, so they must be repaired up to the new maximum.

If it's not working for someone, and none of these are the culprit, it must be because of something in your load order overwriting its changes. This mod is very simple and works fine as long as nothing overwrites it.

If you use the Forgotten Buildings mod, you can edit the level V walls in the FCS. The following link provides a quick guide on how to change the defensive gate door health:

Just select the Forgotten Buildings mod and make the changes and save. It should work without an import of the game.

This won't seem to work with the Forgotten Buildings version of the level V walls and gates. I guess I'll stick to IV.

I never understood why they attack walls in the first place. Even with a 1cm scrap metal (and I guess the walls are thicker) you cant pierce through a wall like that, destroying everything. It should be that they only attack the door which should take quite a bit more time... Sometimes they broke through that before I got all my fighters to the gate...

I like the fact, that this mod also doubles the cost for walls. It feels balanced. The vanilla gates were just plain useless.

Never had NPCs attack my walls before. They always go after the gates.
