as I said, the lite version doesn't alter the feeder, but personally even with the feeder I never found a convenient way to feed pets, or at least not an automatic way. I use most mods from the Radiant series and I believe Radiant Foods adds recipes for verious types of animal kibble which have a lot of nutrition for cheap but can't be eaten by humanoids, then I just fill their backpacks with them and forget about them (I also lay animals in sleeping bags so their hunger slows down, that's probably the main reason I don't use feeders)
Radiant Foods may also have a new kind of animal feeder with stacking slots, contrary than the vanilla version, but I may be very wrong about that

Is it possible to get raw/dried thin/grandfish added to the feeder? Got a mod that allows fishing for them, and it would be great to use those as an automated animal food source so the meat can go directly to making rations.

Thanks for the mod! But, one thing... Can you please add version without animal feeder change? It's frustrating to get another mod to undo this or deal with low nutritious food with animal hunger multiplyer.

i have no quick and easy way to test this, but i reuploaded the mod (loaded, let the program do its thing, saved with the new parameters, and uploaded again), so now this should be compatible with any updates that came out until now. also, if anyone wants to take over this mod or any other i have published let me know, i don't really plan on spending any time on this anymore

alright, it might be that somehow the mod is holding back some update features, i've had an issue on another mod where reuploading alone fixed everything. i'll do that when i wake up, once you see the version change test it again and we'll see if that works

Hmm this is very weird man, because considering all the testing I've done the mod is the only one causing it. As soon as I disable it, the Shek event is going smooth as silk in all same conditions.
Had to stick with foodcubes :(

try that maybe, just as a note this mod does no modification at all to character behaviour, nor to the stove, the recipe was already there, there was just no way to unlock it, and the crafting station did not need to be updated at all. if the issue came from the food store that would have made me suspicious, because i did edit that one, but the stove is vanilla. also can you confirm the link you sent is correct? i don't understand how that thread is relevant. (i had to split the comment because i overexplain and the text was to long to publish)

i'm sorry about that, but i can assure it's not an issue caused by my mod, or any mod at all. every raid that has a looting event will behave that way, the shek are only the most noticeable because they're the ones you acutally welcome in without trying to fight back, most of the time. i'm not sure what happens, but i know i've always seen that behaviour, even in fully vanilla, way before i started modding: they will enter the base, rush to any food container, if none of the containers have food in them they stay there waiting, it could take days before they give up and leave, but i think i remember that if you put a single piece of food in a container their behaviour gets updated and they leave quicker or even right away.

First of all - awesome mod. No idea why ration pack cannot be crafted in base game, it even has ingredients listed...
BUT it seems there is a bug with this mod.

i don't remember, but from the pictures it seems so. it's the same recipe as vanilla, in the vanilla game ration packs actually have a recipe, it's just unavailable

if you read a couple guides you can change it, though, open up my mod with fcs and create a sub mod that alters the recipe so you can make it profitable, or alter my mod completely i have no concern over what happens on your end of the game. mods are made to alter gameplay for many many reasons, nobody can tell you you made a mistake if you decide to alter the alteration. if you need any help join the discord group and get some basics there

yeah it wasn't meant for selling actually, it was meant for consumption, i myself never thought about that because i have never sold good food, maybe i never sold food at all, best way to earn money from farming is still brewing alcohol or risk it with hash, my mod is not designed to get you money, just the best food in the game to save money instead

i just noticed that, because i have my own town and i produce food for selling. ration pack will cost cheaper in twice than his ingredients. unfortunately, this makes his craft unprofitable for sale :(

sorry about that, but i wanted to keep it as vanilla as possible. the one in this mod is the unchanged vanilla recipe, and i think since you can obtain all of the materials for free just by hunting and farming it's still pretty balanced, maybe more useful in a settlement where stores are not available though

i think that recipe of one ration pack is overpriced.
To produse one pack u have to spent: 4 coubs (~400 cats per one) and 4 cooked meal (~45 per one) in summary cost 1'780 cats per one pack (work hours not includet). actually u can buy pack in store even cheaper than u'llcraft it.

yeah the animal feeder doesn't stack in vanilla either, i might update the mod and just tweak the feeder which few people tend to use and it would not become op if i just make it stack to say up to 4, i can do that for you or you could make a separate mod that mirrors the changes i made to the feeder but also makes it stack, make sure to put yours lower in the mod order, so that the new feeder overrides mine. if you need any help you can send a friendship request and text me privately, this project of yours is simple enough and i could teach you

works well thanks, may mod it for my own tasking. I like what you did to the animal feeder had to get use to it a bit though and wish it would stack a bit. New to moding this game so Ill see what you did.

Came back from a campaign searching for books and killing beak-things; I had so much meat and foul meat i couldn't store it all.

in the description i explain how and why i changed the animal feeder so that it only accepts raw and foul meat, it's not a bug but an intentional feature, if you plan on feeding your animals something different than these two foods i suggest you subscribe to the clean version of this mod, which doesn't alter any existing building :)
