I just wished the SQL option for Ideology chances and Congress were separate, since this means I can't have the Congress changes while keeping to default Ideologies (since I run Reform and Rule, and this mod will override the changes to it)

I love this mod, but every time a barbarian take over a city state it breaks the replay feature. It's kinda weird how barbarians take over a city state. Even if there is NOT A SINGLE barbarian in the borders the city state sometiems still just falls to them for no reason.

i really just wish the world congress side of this mod were also available as a separate mod. it's dope as fuck but i can never stand to play a game with this mod long enough to use it because of the units and the AI spamming it and having to micromanage all my cities to put no specialists in chancery or whatever.
Robertman2 21. juni 2022 kl. 9:43
lol my game crashes whenever I try to disable this mod, what the fuck
Tamomomma 16. sep. 2021 kl. 0:47
I don't know how you make a mod to make diplomacy with city states a bit more involved, only to make diplomacy completely unusable with diplomat spam.
marstyk 15. maj 2021 kl. 16:11
Hey, I've found a way to fix the great diplomat spam bug. All you have to do is go to the mod's files open every single mod file using notepad++ and just delete every line connected to the great diplomat unit. It deletes the unit comletely. No unit = no bug. Hope this helps!!!

Would it break anything if I just deleted the folder labeled "Policies" within your mod?
Arcyllis Halfdansson † 22. nov. 2020 kl. 21:41
I have one mod that significantly alters the policy trees, including shuffling some policies around between some of the trees, and changing bonuses entirely, and although this does not cause an outright crash, it seems to be causing some adverse effects. Do you think there could be a way for us to get a version of this mod without the policy changes?

A mod in which CS diplomacy works more like in Civ VI would be cool!
Search 7. okt. 2020 kl. 13:26
When using this mod I cannot see what is being offered or what I am offering in trades. I can select things but they are not visible. I am using the civ 4 diplomacy mod and custom civs only.
AN/PVQ-31A 10. juli 2020 kl. 3:46
I too want just the world congress stuff

Great mod. Adds a lot to the game. There are a few small issues, but I've been using it a long time and none of them affect gameplay. Sometimes when at war with a city state the city's bar partially disappears, though the name and info is still there. Like I said, small issues but gameplay is unaffected. Highly recomended!

I'm a little confused about something small, maybe a user of this mod may be able to help. Reading Great Diplomats use I should be able to settle an Embassy in a city state territory yes? Attempts to do so comes back with red text saying I can't settle outside my territory.

So is it suppose to go in my own land, but even then it doesn't allow me to.

Am I doing something wrong or what?

I'm trying to use this with whoward69's Various Mod Components v89. His instructions (and other people's posts on said topic) reference to City-State Diplomacy v28 .

However, the version from the Steam Workshop page says it is v26 , but when downloaded its modinfo says it is v27 .

There are also discrepancies on Civfanatics as well. The official thread lists it as v25 , but the download page lists it as version 26 and gives a dropbox file with a modinfo both as v25 .

What is the latest version I should be using? v25, 26, or 27? Is/was there even a v28? The link whoward69 provides for "v28" doesn't work.

Does this work with the Enlightenment Era and Future Cities mods, since it affects the tech tree?
JXN314 21. mar. 2019 kl. 8:17
I've experienced a bug with this mod that stops me from being able to choose production on my first turn. I use BNW and GNK with many other mods, but when i weeded out one by one which was causing this it was this one... is there another version that is more compatible with my setup?
ropestring3 2. jan. 2019 kl. 13:34
what button do i push to open the file to edit the mod to enable sweden's ability?
Rosaielle 10. nov. 2018 kl. 8:52
Is there a version of this that is just the World Congress Revamp? If not, can there be?
Kill3rCat [1st FORECON] 8. aug. 2018 kl. 6:44
Is this compatible with 'Artificial Unintelligence'?
Sneaky Markus Kruber 18. juli 2018 kl. 16:35
By the way: Is it campatible with "City States Leaders II" from Nutty?
Sneaky Markus Kruber 18. juli 2018 kl. 16:33
Hey Gazebo! I making a mod abaout the Hyborian Age (Conan the Barbarian) and I created 41 new City States. Can I use your mod as an "addon" for this? Thanks. :D
Physcosanta 21. apr. 2018 kl. 4:09
Cheers
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 20. apr. 2018 kl. 12:34
@physco,

Sure.
Physcosanta 20. apr. 2018 kl. 10:30
Hello, I making a mod that adds a new specialists, politician, do you mind if I use your graphics for civil servant for it?
BubblewrapBoy 6. jan. 2018 kl. 4:24
Noob questions: Where and what is the LUA folder? What does LUA mean? and why do I need to delete it to get it to work right? Google gives me NO usefull answers...

Same problem as OmegaMole - GD spam is an absolute game-killer. The worst thing about them is that they make whole areas of the map inaccessible unless you declare war on their owner and kill the offending GDs. The mod is otherwise good but this completely ruins it for me, to the point where I won't use it in future games. I guess you're probably not tweaking stuff on it anymore but I'd appreciate it if you (or anyone else) could point me at a way to fix it in the mod files so I can go on using it
OmegaMole 2. dec. 2017 kl. 4:28
A little update on the Great Diplomat (GD) spam. As I have seen all Civs spam GD which makes the game unplayable. The AI does not disband the diplomat units and therefore has soon about a dozen and more of GD without any use on the map. They cripple the AI financally an block the whole map. Also while the spaming stopped during midgame for about 50 turns it started again and raised from 1 to 5 GD each turn over time. So as long as this isn`t fixed, this mod is breaking the game and cannot be recommended. It is strange that this problem appears now, because it didn`t before I reinstalled the game and the mod.
OmegaMole 30. nov. 2017 kl. 7:03
@Gazebo I Have a simmilar problem as Revan_Avernus. But in my case I AM spamming Great Diplomats. Since I invented writing (I guess) the game gives me a great Diplomat EVERY single round. That unbalances the game and it is annoying as hell that I have to disband the diplomats every round. Maybe you could do something about that? That would be great because I love this mod and don`t want to play without it anymore. Great idea and work!
Revan_Avernus 13. okt. 2017 kl. 7:30
It´s OK mod. I just wish that the World Council changes would be a separate mod, because I don't like the diplomat unit addition at all. AI keeps spamming 3-5 diplo units constantly to my Ally City States and in every WC meeting AI´s mostly propose "Enforce Decolonization" to CS´s under my influence. I have to keep churning out diplo units from my major cities and can't focus on anything else. Also when I vote against these decolonization- proposals, my ally leaders start to dislike me.
Any way to remove diplo-units and keep the WC wonders and new proposals?
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 5. okt. 2017 kl. 20:52
Can you make an EE compatible version? The only two conflicts (duplicates really) I can see is the Summer Palace and Crystal Palace existing separately in both mods, but it's still pretty cheesey to potentially have 2 of the same wonder that do separate things.
JEELEN 3. sep. 2017 kl. 12:33
@martzpablo Check out the Great Spy mod for spies. ;)
marlzpablo 18. aug. 2017 kl. 15:36
Can't diplomats be used as spies like it use to be in the original Civilization
Leidendes Tuix 24. juli 2017 kl. 11:59
is this compatible with jdf mods?
Ceramic 24. juli 2017 kl. 5:37
Nevermind, I fixed it.
Ceramic 24. juli 2017 kl. 5:27
Sorry for bothering uou then. But, would you know what mod that is? I looked through all my mods and can't seem to pin it down.
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 23. juli 2017 kl. 20:27
That's probably a different mod.
Ceramic 23. juli 2017 kl. 19:39
Oh, and spit errors at me every 5 seconds?
Ceramic 23. juli 2017 kl. 19:39
Is the mod supposed to rename settlers to "clans" and remove the ability to manage citizens?
leavemealoneism 16. juni 2017 kl. 17:58
When I built the roman forum in one of my matches, my game instantly crashes when the unit is spawned? Are there any mods that may effect this, such as unit retextures?
Froggy 13. juni 2017 kl. 7:53
've managed to push out a few great diplomats, and used those to build embassies in a few city states, but as expected, other civs have done the same in other city states.
Now, is it possible to raze their embassies to establish my own? Or how do I wrest control of these extra votes in the World Council?
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. 2017 kl. 9:07
Paper doesn't spawn. It is created by buildings.
Deathstrike 26. apr. 2017 kl. 10:42
so i used ingame editor but i coudnt improve the resource
Deathstrike 26. apr. 2017 kl. 10:41
Hey man there is no paper spawning
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2017 kl. 17:56
No, the actual LUA folder of the CP.
Working Joe 10. apr. 2017 kl. 16:12
The "CoreLua" folder, to be precise?
Working Joe 10. apr. 2017 kl. 16:10
Just to clarify: that's pretty much the Events system folder (contains most of the lua), correct? So the only lost functionality would be the events system?
Working Joe 10. apr. 2017 kl. 15:51
Thanks man!
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2017 kl. 14:21
Yes, but you'd need to delete the LUA folder from the CP.
Working Joe 9. apr. 2017 kl. 21:38
Dumb question: is this compatabile with the base Community Patch (not the full CBO)?
Gazebo  [ophavsmand] 3. mar. 2017 kl. 14:12
Paper does not appear on the map, if that's what you mean.
