I have made a third ship now, This is my go to for autopilot systems now. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3502150669
Skeeter80 6.6. klo 15.07
it does
Vampel 4.6. klo 23.39
doesn't work
Tajin  [tekijä] 27.5. klo 0.16
Nice to see it is still of some use. :)
INTFGaming 26.5. klo 21.24
Works well. This helps because im new to stormworks and this allows me to try to build other systems. My 2nd ship-wip: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3488454954
(I gave Credit In Description)
m3 26.1. klo 15.34
can it be used for missiles
My_Name_is_Bear 28.12.2024 klo 8.52
can i use this on my creations if i link it?
Rook the Roofcamper 25.9.2024 klo 5.28
That is one big composite write block
Tajin  [tekijä] 24.7.2024 klo 13.35
Well, the logic hasn't changed...
Sure some new things have been added but the old stuff is still the same.
Liyem010 24.7.2024 klo 7.13
what i find weird is that soem old creations dont work but this micro controller still works
Tajin  [tekijä] 29.6.2024 klo 13.01
probably because a lot of ppl have asked if it can be used for helicopters
NoriXa 29.6.2024 klo 7.22
Why is this tagged so i get shown this with helicopter search?
{TAH} TheGdog 7.5.2024 klo 19.19
no way to turn it off/on?
Conniekugs 81f 20.3.2024 klo 1.42
does it work with helis?
noobie 16.3.2024 klo 17.10
yes you can use it with credit
Lord Soahc 16.3.2024 klo 17.04
Hi Can I Use this please in a creation im uploading? with Credit of course
GIETrain 10.3.2024 klo 6.03
does it work with robotic pivots? (pointing towards the destination)
noobie 14.2.2024 klo 15.51
is there any way i can have the motor reverse too? I'm using this for a train
󠁳⁧⁧さびアカデミー 29.1.2024 klo 5.41
What unit is the ETA in? It says seconds but it doesn't make sense, dividing it by 60 gives a weird number which is way too big, in the thousands for short distances. Is it some kind of in game time?
Tajin  [tekijä] 26.1.2024 klo 12.45
depends on your plane
menomeno 26.1.2024 klo 12.39
does it work with planes?
Andro 12.12.2023 klo 2.05
just a little problem when i start the AP my ship just starts barrel rolling
3r5x4 27.10.2023 klo 18.36
how do i get this to not give a signal from the ready output when i have nothing in the keypad
CaptainThunderblast 8.10.2023 klo 9.51
Developing this in to a unit to match my custom ECU for tandem twin rotor helicopters :)
sock fan (likes socc 30.9.2023 klo 5.09
how do i steer with my helm if the autopilot steering takes up the rudder input spot?
KosmicRavioli 24.8.2023 klo 4.22
My guy, I'm an idiot.
I forgot to connect the GPS and Compass to electricity. :D

It works fine with sticky rudders. :D
Tajin  [tekijä] 23.8.2023 klo 12.14
you could simply multiply the steering output with whatever rotational speed you're looking for

or use a pid if you're comfortable with them
KosmicRavioli 23.8.2023 klo 9.12
@Tajin; My question is how would I go about making this work for a ship with sticky rudders, rather than reset type.

The logic is very quick to make the initial steering input but returning it to 0 rudder takes ridiculously long so you keep turning in circles.
KosmicRavioli 23.8.2023 klo 8.47
@Sgt. Max Cockburn And if you find that your rudder directions are suddenly reversed, use an inverter between "switched value" and your rudder inputs.
KosmicRavioli 23.8.2023 klo 8.42
@Sgt. Max Cockburn, you use a numerical switchbox.

Connect the autopilot steering to "ON" input
Connect your manual steering to "OFF" input.
Connect the "Switch Signal On/Off" to a toggle button (make sure it is energized).
Connect the "Switched Value" output to your rudders.

This way you will have manual steering by default and will switch rudder control to the autopilot when you press the button.
arus45 18.8.2023 klo 5.41
it is so cool thanks
DJ Dab 14.8.2023 klo 6.29
this is a really nice and simple autopilot which i really like i going to be using this on my boats from now on.
Sgt. Max Cockburn 31.7.2023 klo 17.03
Not sure how to use the steering output... Can't feed it to anything useful but a rudder, but they already have the steering funtion attached. How do I get aound that?
SovietLoveHammer 24.2.2023 klo 11.34
I ran into a strange issue where the rudder / control surface flaps back and forth. I've tried everything but I can't seem to figure out whats causing it. I'm getting the waypoint from the map table if that has anything to do with it.
Dax 20.9.2022 klo 16.01
Im working on adding this to a vtol aircraft, and when it gets close it tends to back up some specific distance and try again if it overshoots, anyone know which settings would tweak that?
bongokat 23.8.2022 klo 4.54
To turn it on watch the tutorial
bonzomcdrumcat 29.10.2021 klo 7.27
How do i turn it on/off?
oEmqrald 20.9.2021 klo 15.28
Are we allowed to post creations using this if we credit the creation?
williamsa1997 25.2.2021 klo 5.41
any idea why the map NJ incorporated this autopilot into doesn't seem to work whatever I do?
Basse_9619 14.1.2021 klo 8.44
How do you make it so i stops at the waypoint?

Thank you so much for it
Random 3.1.2021 klo 9.25
Found an odd behaviour with the autopilot. The throttle output seems to decrease whenever it makes a large turn, kinda problematic in an aircraft! Setting minimum throttle for steering doesn't change the behaviour.

I have bound the throttle limit to my aircrafts throttle so it can't exceed whatever I have the throttle set to. Could this be causing the problem?
Spleenathon 29.12.2020 klo 13.45
Would it work for an Airplane?
Niceguygamer 22.11.2020 klo 20.47
Can this work with helicopters?
RMC 8.11.2020 klo 10.18
Please accept my request Tajin as im wanting to discuss about integrating your work into mine with credit due
BasicFrog 2.11.2020 klo 8.04
@XxRAVENHEARTxX use a numerical inverter
HamBunger 1.11.2020 klo 15.47
so how do swap the steering around cause i have a creation that im working on and it has inverted rudders so it turns with fluid jets
TheLastEngineer 18.10.2020 klo 6.59
can i still use it or are there better/newer ons?
Staalby 6.10.2020 klo 14.32
Can it get a simple 'hold course' feature? :)
sunblock 25.8.2020 klo 13.24
verry happy with this Thank you!
ahhhhh 24.7.2020 klo 13.49
If i give you credit can i use it for vehicles that i have on the workshop
