RIMMSqol causes a lot of issues with a lot of other mods.

It's a shame this mod won't get updated. It's like, the king of mods.

I made some bare minimum changes to get this mod working in 1.4. Feel free to use it, but I haven't added the new 1.4 stuff and it could have bugs.

Yeah, I was in the same boat with Rimmsqol. I had used it even before you could edit items. I made this ignorant of what was happening with that mod. Glad there's another option though as I doubt anyone will pick this one up.
The code is not ideal and was really a 'brute force' approach on my part and, in effect, is not maintainable

It has some problems this doesnt(such as bloat), but it works in 1.4 and can do more such as change where things can be crafted or even modify abilities pawns get from genes

How is it compared to this?

Turns out Rimmsqol has been improved substantially since I first used it, though it can be a bit laggy when in it's UI

When I used Rimmsqol it was in every conceivable way less user friendly, trying to replace this with Rimmsqol would be, assuming it's just as bad as it was a couple years ago, like trying to replace a circular saw with a piece of sharp flint

This was made prior to steamdeck, no idea. At least on the PC version you can set the hotkey in options.

i wish i knew how to do what you do here, so i can take over. this mod is by far the one reason why i haven't played 1.4. is this written in C? i do understand some xml and python, i would say my skill is at a 2.
