I know this is years late but I used this mod recently and the invisible torso thing happened to me too, and turns out the invisible death FX only applies at the body minus the other limbs. I was able to make a fix for it on my own by applying the same method from the body to the other vmts.

If I have your permission @Ramm.asmiette I could upload a patched version and add you as contributor so it would still be listed in your workshop.

note for everyone who loves this mod:

you can now get an add-on to this mod which replaces the l4d1 smoker.

it works but different model for last stand, you can probably hex it if you follow the guides, should be smoker_l4d1.mdl i guess
