Does this work on animals?
Mitsurugi 30. maj kl. 8:25
I like the concept of this.

Would love to see an optional/supplemental version that lets you heal starving bandits, escaped slaves, and any of the handful of other factions that simply attack you because they are starving after you beat them down. The ones that say things like "give us your food" or attack me to loose my food, not my gear, I always feel bad for putting those guys down.

I'd also love to see a mod that makes those groups have dialog more often than just attacking. I like being able to give food or money over just fighting. Not having the food or money to give still results in a fight either way, so the game just feels more alive when you at least have the option..

I added the neutral or nice ones to the mod. It's random so it doesn't always trigger. If you get a chance to try it out, please do let me know if it occurs or not, as I can't test this right now.
drastikk 18. jan. kl. 19:26
Hey does this include repairing skeletons as well? I've tried it a few times now and I'm not getting a relations bump with the "Skeletons" after repairing some of them.
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 19. okt. 2024 kl. 7:48
To my understanding in order to heal you need a kit, and in order to heal robots you need a skeleton repair kit. The dialogue triggers when healing so that would mean you need some type of a kit to gain the respect.
Shibubs 19. okt. 2024 kl. 7:17
I'm guessing you don't need Skeleton Repair Kit to make this function?
The Improve Relationship by Healing mod requires a Kit for it to work,
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2024 kl. 0:55
I'm not sure but you can try to see what happens. It could be that one mod overwrites stuff from the other one or that you get randomized effects from one mod or the other. It could also be, that one mod will completely overwrite the other.

Does this mod work with - using Improve relationships by Healing mod?
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 10:28
Thank you! i Wish you the same!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2024 kl. 10:27
No problem, it's great to be able to spread the good stuff in mods and interactions with nice people such as yourself. Enjoy the gaming!
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 10:11
took me 5 min to change from +1 > +5 and +2 > +10 relationship.
There are some links on google where you can download the mod without steam and searching first 2 i recommend . (can't link them cause they get removed)

Thank you for making such an great mod and helping community members like me out!
You have a kind heart!
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2024 kl. 10:01
Nice one, good work. I'm not sure if I have a copy of the mod anywhere except the Workshop, so if I want to make official changes I need to download it and do the same you did.
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 9:59
Found it.
Have to open mod and press changes and then double press on the packages.
then on the specific lines there are some effects.
Perfect thank you!
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 9:44
I'm not really experienced in this so not really sure what you mean by that. To the right there is the add change relation effect and in that box its empty. So what i understand with logical thinking is that there are no effects from this dialoge?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2024 kl. 9:35
There is a dialogue pack, and then there are dialogue lines inside the packages. The pack shows a superficial version of the dialogues. If you right click and open the dialogue, that should give you lore data. I'm going off of memory here so hopefully I'm not too wrong.
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 9:28
Hmm yes thanks for the info.
i opened the mod data file, i see a bunch of dialoges and they dont have any effects?
example "Civ healed by neutral" I see the conditions but no effects. Am i missing something?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2024 kl. 9:18
If you check out how to pop this mod into the editor and twiddle the numbers around a little that would work. There should be a tutorial on that somewhere. In short, there are numbered folders in the Steam Workshop folder on your PC. One numbered folder is for Kenshi, and in there another for this mod. Copy that mod folder into the mods folder in Kenshi and rename it to what the .mod file name is, without the .mod, and then you can look at it in the editor.
TheHaluzer Official™ 24. aug. 2024 kl. 8:46
Yes i agree.
Aaah thanks for providing that information i did not know.
Is there a way to increase the amount of relationship gained?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2024 kl. 8:34
If I ever update the mod again I'll do that. Adding the amount to the dialogue is a great idea not for debugging purposes only but for the player as well.

Each character has a set of personality tags. They range from things like "stupid" to "kind". Depending on what randomly given tag that person has, they will respond to being in different ways. There might be a combination of traits that trigger something, I can't recall exactly as it has been a while. The person has to be awake for them to give you the reputation.

If a person is stupid and nasty, there is a chance that they will not understand what you are doing. If a person is honorable, they will give you more relationship to their faction.
TheHaluzer Official™ 23. aug. 2024 kl. 8:28
Mod name is "Improve relationships by Healing"
Could you be more detailed about when its positive and when not and how much?
Could you add this info to the mod description as i believe such info is very important
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2024 kl. 8:25
I can't open the link as Steam things it's going to kill me. The relationship increase is I think from around 1 to 5, but I think there was a chance that it was negative as well if the person is a butthole. The increase depends on the personality of the person being healed and whether they are there to witness themselves being healed.
TheHaluzer Official™ 23. aug. 2024 kl. 8:20
Hey!
how much improved relationship does this give?
Can you make a pop up or something to show when relation is increased?
Whats the differance between this and "https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1950231883" mod?
Velber 14. juni 2024 kl. 15:39
its nice to see a more recent rendition of this mod compared to the 2019 one
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2024 kl. 10:26
I'm unsure, since it's been a long time. If not, I should definitely make it work at some point.
Erasmus Roterodamus 13. maj 2024 kl. 5:29
Does this work with non-human characters? Like tech hunter skeleton or western hiver?
Hozzenplozz 24. feb. 2024 kl. 0:57
@Uncle Piggy: Yes.
Uncle Piggy 24. feb. 2024 kl. 0:51
Does it only work on people are not in coma?

To be honest I was (prescription) drugged yesterday due to something and was bored, laid back and experimenting. Today I know that this change is completely possible and much better done in an entirely separate mod. I mixed up the way I thought I would do it with the way I ended up doing it. Don't do drugs, kids :plumbus:
Hozzenplozz 17. jan. 2024 kl. 3:27
It does not seem to be very rare ;)
But I really think you should build it in a separate branch. I (and I assume some other guys) wanted your mod to be able to improve faction releations. Recruiting is a completely different topic and should be a separate mod for all those who are fine with the way it is.

Anyways, just a suggestion for improvement if you want to keep it:
You should make the "dialogue" a dialogue :)
The way it is now does not fit into Kenshi's atmosphere ("recruit person y/n")... The NPC should talk to you such as "Please help me, my leg's broken! I'll be in your debt forever!"
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 17. jan. 2024 kl. 3:14
That's right, and it's supposed to be very rare but I got busy yesterday and could not test it after it already went live. I can revert back and test it properly once I get a chance. For now you can ignore it or edit it. Will most likely get to it today.
Hozzenplozz 17. jan. 2024 kl. 1:31
Just became aware of the new recruting option while playing. I'm in dire search for new recruits, but this feels a *lot* like cheating. As it also does not really match the original idea of this mod, it would have been great if you would have implemented it in a separate branch.

To revert this change, I only need to set "chance permanent" in dia_recruitPerson to 0, correct?

I'm not sure. If both mods edit the same thing it's possible that neither will work as intended.

Hey does this work with the "thanks chumbo mod?

Lawh  [ophavsmand] 10. sep. 2023 kl. 6:47
It's possible, but it might not work in all instances. You should probably put this mod below that mod in the mod list.
Johrdan720 9. sep. 2023 kl. 6:22
mod work with UWE ?
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2023 kl. 14:56
Yeah, it would be nice that it would work if someone in the squad of the person being healed would make it work. I think I was thinking about something like taking injured people into your own town to heal them, and then they would give you their gratitude. I never started working on that though.
CringeSyndrome0720 8. sep. 2023 kl. 14:06
I thought it works for unconscious people :lunar2019deadpanpig:
I was like:
> Browsing the mods I subscribed
> Didn't find this one.
> ah, I didn't even subscribe to it. No wonder it didn't work.
> Search: healing
> ... wait, wut? I already have this one?
> "The people need to be awake for this to work."
> Okay... Should've seen this before...:rgirl_faint:

Hm. It worked for me without importing. But not for all. Shek seem to be "immune".
Lawh  [ophavsmand] 29. aug. 2023 kl. 7:03
You're welcome. Let's hope it works.

The people need to be awake for this to work.

I saved a lot of people, but none of them triggered the conversation
Woopps 29. aug. 2023 kl. 2:18
