if you equip your soldiers with infinite ammo patriots like I do, then this mod is definitely for you.

@Amokhunter It's from your save file directory in "Documents\My Games", Just go to the "Config" folder somewhere inside the relevant "XCOM2" game folder.

Uhm.. which one of the XcomUI files? I searched the main installation dir (bladiblar/Xcom2) and it gives me a total of 4 (WOTC/DLC2 & 3, as well as DLC2 & 3 base dir) and none of the 4 files has the line in them that you named. Presuming it exists and is set to "false" by default?

yeah same for me. this mod npt helping at all. its same as before installing it (noraml wotc but with lot of additional items from mods)

I had this mod installed for ages and my soldiers still keep being unequipped when wounded . any ideas ? (LWOT)

About others pointing out highlander has a config for this. I have tried to uncomment it and that doesn't seem to help. My soldiers still unequip for covert ops and getting wounded. Will be trying this mod next.

@Epic Dovahkiin Thanks for pointing that out, been using the highlander for other mods for a while and somehow never noticed there were all those optional settings in the config.

anyone got an idea to include "Make Utility Items Available" to take effect? god damn it, this button also remove some of weapons or armors. annoying as hell

the only thing i've noticed is training still removes items but that's a minor annoyance (as you won't really be training troops as often as you have wounded and covert ops)

@Ray community highlander (a requirement for this mod) already has options for this just uncomment (remove the semicolon) the lines bDontUnequipWhenWounded=true and bDontUnequipCovertOps=true in the XcomGame.ini

Hi ! I don't know why but I still have to re-equip my soldiers regulary (wich is a pain in the arse in the long run) even with this mod activated and a correct list of loading order.
Someone has the same issue?

@Rancho It should be in the [XComGame.UISquadSelect] group. And the ; in front of the text comment them out, so skip those, if adding manually.

By the way, the same option is available in the Community Highlander (a requirement for this mod anyway...) for those not using LWOTC. It's in the Highlander's XcomGame.ini

There's also an option to cap will loss on multi-part missions in there, which is nice.

Great work asdron. I had a thread years ago attempting to collect as many ini edits as I could. It gets daunting too when there's so many maybe you don't know what it changes.

Now all we need is a mod that minimizes the dress up portion of the game - I want to choose their look once and never look back, regardless of armor upgrades.

This mod suddenly stopped working for me too! ). I started looking for a solution and it seems I found it! In LWOTC, in the XcomUi.ini file, I found the following lines (by default they are generally commented out and the values are false). I uncommented and set the values to true.

NoStripWoundedInventory=true
NoStripOnTraining=true
AutoStripWoundedAllItems=true

Now my soldiers never take off their equipment when wounded. I think this mod is not needed then, but I haven’t disabled it yet.

the mod stop working, i dont know what could be conflicting with it, but its weird because i was using it some months ago withouth issue, and now after coming back to the game, it stoped working

Mod stops working after a while. Not sure if this is a conflict with another mod but just sharing my experience. Amazing when it does work.

It seemed to work at first but stopped working further into the campaign. Updated version please :((. It really is a must have QoL mod.

Stopped Working, which is a real shame.

Still not doing what it is supposed to. My troops get wounded, do conditioning, go into any kind of training and their main equipment is removed and replaced with generic junk.

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

This mod is not working, its not doing whats its suppose to do even with AML.

Soldiers are still unequipping their items left n right.

If the mod does not work, move it as a local mod and use AML, that should force it to work. (In most cases like the ones from "A better series" mod.)

Added mid-campaign. Doesn't seem to work for me. Not sure what it could be contradicting it.

Can you add psi-lab to the list too? I use a mod that makes quite a number of soldiers regularly visiting it - they get the same problem with unequipping!
