I have a repair order about this car being loud, but there's no exhaust to look at or replace. What am I missing ?

Is it normal that I can't see the engine from under the car? I also don't have the option to access the engine throught the engine bay (rear). It only looks good from the outside. When I remove the rear bumper, all I see is black. Can I fix that? The model looks amazing from the outside though.
