Yeah, not having those shots is an oversight on my end. Sorry about that.

In general, the newer a pack is, the more "complete" it will be.
I was so smart to only sporadically save images from during texture creation, so when dlcs added new terrains, it was not always easy to add them completely fitting later on - and I wasn't done when the DE came out, so there are still mods not containing every last terrain.

Most packs have differing styles, so you would have to compare the mod images, to find the one you like best. The mods cover roughly the same spots for the images, so this is easier.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2024 kl. 7:28
Also, the compilation packs are that.
For a lot of them, there exist terrain only mods, like more or less saturated for example.
There are also water versions available separately, so you can mix land and water as you like most.
Other elements, like mountains, rocks, trees etc. are also available separately, and also in versions not used in compilations.

So if you are willing to invest a little more work, you can go through my special mod collections for them, and basically create your own compilation.

This mod looks great and I can't wait to use it but you've got so many graphics overhaul mods that It is a little overwhelming and difficult to decide which one a new player should install. Maybe some comparison pictures to the original graphics could help people decide? Great work all the same and thank you for making them.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2020 kl. 22:19
You can use both of them at the same time.
Pussywood needs to have a higher load order priority though, so it overwrites the trees present in this mod.
muzzo 2. maj 2020 kl. 18:06
Do pussywood mantains its effect with this mod? Or it just erase its effect? Sory bout my english
Kellorz 20. apr. 2019 kl. 9:44
is this a more updated version of the v2 texture pack? Not sure what one to use
Tanksy 21. juli 2018 kl. 0:41
Sounds cool!
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 21. juli 2018 kl. 0:35
As an addition - each forest replacement I did, actually replaces the whole set of trees in AoE - so no seperate forest coloring right now.
But as before - take a look at my mod manager when the next update is released (hopefully soon) - it will allow you to merge mods and therefore combine forest files from different sources into a new local mod.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 21. juli 2018 kl. 0:33
Actually almost all my mods are also available seperatelly and sorted in collections only containing replacements of that type. These compilations only exist for people that asked for collections. :)

My trees you can find here: Ozhara's tree and plant replacements

Individual tree textures are not possible right now, for each type of forest is stored in a multiple image container that a specific tiles graphic is picked from.
So each new graphic means you need to edit the same container - which can only be done by a single mod.
That said - plan is to add functionality to actually create your own container files from local images and multiple other mods from within my mod manager at some point.
Tanksy 19. juli 2018 kl. 8:59
Are there any non-packed mods for individual tree sets? or even textures? I'm so fed up of people selfishly imposing their "packs" and "collections" on people like we have no choice in the matter. The reason Workshop has Collections is so we can pick and choose what mods we want, and putting entire compilations that are usually full of extra fluff I don't care for is really counter-intuitive to the system.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 8. maj 2018 kl. 12:49
Yes and no. Between the versions the graphics style changes for example. So while I make heavy use of a lot of the same base images and also mix in images of various older versions, each version is unique. What changes over time is what else beside terrains is covered - so extended packs cover more objects than full versions for example.
Yukianesa 24. mar. 2018 kl. 9:02
@Ozhara can I ask you if the latest full version contains every other version or if they are mixed?
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. 2018 kl. 9:49
for a pussywood mod, give that one a higher priority.
walls are no problem.
grids are part of the terrain textures themselve, so you need a gridded version of these terrains.
you can either use the gridded version available, or create a gridded version of this mod using my mod manager that is also available here.
Shadows 4. feb. 2018 kl. 19:37
If i use this, can use grid terrain, small walls, and pussywood mods?

Bocxog 14. nov. 2017 kl. 9:22
@Ozhara thank you !
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 5. nov. 2017 kl. 22:58
You just need to click the large green subscribe button.
Steam will then download it and next time you run AoE, they will show uo in the ingame mod manager where you can en/disable them and change their priorities.
Bocxog 29. okt. 2017 kl. 2:34
Could someone, please, tell me how to install these modes ?
Fidem Et Verum 12. sep. 2017 kl. 8:55
@Ozhara, I finally got it to work, thank you! :))
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2017 kl. 8:10
Yes, just make sure pussywood has a higher priority so it overwrites the trees included in this mod. :)
Fidem Et Verum 12. sep. 2017 kl. 0:37
Will this work with pussywood?

Great mod. Thanks.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2017 kl. 4:39
My tree compilation 2 & 3 replace them by other jungle trees.
Just subscribe to one of them and give it a higher priority than this mod. :)
The Gabe 23. apr. 2017 kl. 1:27
Those trees with the weird roots (were in other versions too) are quite ugly. If it wasn't for that it would be a very nice pack

Das ist vollkommen in Ordnung! :D:

It looks too far, everything looks too small

I wish the Steam workshop worked correctly so I could actually see the preview.

Icons should not cause any conflicts.

V4 is a little more 'pixelated' in its sytle than my other terrain packs. It was actually my first one not using cut out pieces 'thrown together', but merged layers. Back then I actually aimed for a this look to make the merging easier and keep their look near the 'pixelated look' of the other graphics objects.
It might be the preview screens do look a little smoother than the actual content due to them beeing reduced in size when looking at them in steam (the original images are 1920x1080). When opening the mod in your browser, the image should be able to be enlargd to it's actual size (for this works in firefox).
So I assume the style is just too pixelated for your taste.
My later versions don't have this 'problem' as I aimed for smoothed out terrains in v6-v8.
CaptainMontilla 29. sep. 2016 kl. 19:02
Forgot to mention I'm also using a mod for classic food, gold and etc icons. I wonder if any of these mods can cause a conflict?
I'm looking at the preview screens and I'm 90% sure it doesn't look like that in my game. It's hard to explain (I'm not an English native speaker), but the grass and terrain looks awfully artificial and out of place in my game. Anyway, thank you for your time and the replies, I'm giving you a thumbs up just for that.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 29. sep. 2016 kl. 1:06
Well, there are two possibilities - either the mod didn't apply correctly. Then you can try to verify your game cache and then check if the mod is enabled properly in the workshop ingame manager.
Or it looks like on the preview screens and it's just not your taste.
In that case I'd be really interested in what you don't like about it as this kind of feedback is gold for improvements. Beside that there are tons of graphic mods out there from different authors, so I'm pretty sure you'll find your perfect one or create it from those myriads of seperate replacements also available out there. :)
CaptainMontilla 28. sep. 2016 kl. 18:44
I simply subscribed to the mod. I'm currently using a farm cosmetic mod and Lord of the Rings Soundtrack. Anyway, I'm not going to give you a thumbs down even if it didn't work.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 28. sep. 2016 kl. 4:53
What exactly did you do?
And what other mods do you use?
CaptainMontilla 27. sep. 2016 kl. 18:54
I must have done something wrong because my game looks awful with this mod.
Ozhara  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2016 kl. 18:28
Yes it does. :)
