this mod is amazing, but without its own stat block, it fails to do what i needed it to do, which is a T4 weapon(i have coil/laser mod serving as T2 and the vanilla T2 and T3 serving as T3)

Question is, if you can make them a separate weapons? Eg a tier6 which would require new technology.. It is possible to somehow edit this mod via xcom2 SDK ?

These new plasma weapons are just cosmetic. They inherit whatever the vanilla stats are. If you've modded the original plasma weapons, then these cosmetics will inherit your modded stats.

looking through my configfolder and i don't even see the xcomEUweopons ini file. i've played 2 campaigns now and the weapons show up so i know it works, but i want to disable the default weapons completely but I just can't seem to locate the ini

Even though RemoveBeamTierWeapons = true, the standard X2 plasma weapons were not removed. Could it be because I added the mod mid-campaign?
(I had not yet researched plasma weapons, but they were available for research when I added the mod.)

Figured it out: Adding solution in case of search. Open the XCOMLW_Overhaul ini. Scroll down to about line 480. Copy all the existing templates for _BM weapons, paste it underneath and change the _BM extension to _PL (or whatever the weapon template names are for your weapons). It went a bit weird when I did that until I commented out (with semicolon) the original templates.

Little issue, the plasma pistol's projectile particles seem to get stuck in midair just as they connect with a target or surface. No gameplay issues, but it's irritating to see the green bolts just floating there for the entire mission.

Just added this to my game, these guns are so badass and are hands down way better than there TLP equivalent. It would be amazing if there was a future mod that replaced the aliens vanilla alien weapons so they use these instead. Even though I love xcom 2 the vanilla weapons and armor were a massive let down.

@Selevan The reason modders are almost exclusively making for WOTC is twofold. For one, WOTC has a lot of added backend support that makes their mods easier to handle, or outright gives them more options for making things that vanilla doesn't have, and there is a different modding kit for both, which according to what I've heard is about 90 gb. So for most of them having both modding kits is simply too much data to have around to keep up multiple versions of their mods.

@noob The other weapon's stat are directly taken from the equivalent base game weapons, so you'd have to edit those.

@Topic Like Tinfoot earlier, I also noticed that the bolts from the pistol don't disappear. Is there a possible fix for that?

Is there any way that an editable .ini could be added to this mod so we could change the damage and other stats of these guns without having to change the base xcom 2 files?

I'm asking because I also use https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=953115471 which turns plasma weapons into "tier 5" guns but it doesn't work by giving the mod an editable ini, it literally adds damage onto the base game files - so editing the .ini for plasma damage to match the damage of the second mod means they still don't match, and the base weapon damage reaches rediculous levels.

I know but they made it so you have to buy them from engineering. Is that the same with this mod? Would rather they showed up for free under the loadout menu.

I believe we gotta get the Tier 1 weapons back even though an addon for them has already been made. The ones that were ported in Mr Kablamm0Fish don't look like the Old Weapons at all, especially the Assualt Rifle. Also the addon doesn't have the XCOM EW weapon animations

Do the weapons in this pack also have visuals for attachments? The one thing I felt the TLP plasma weapons were missing was that. I was rather sad to not be able to trick out my guns :(
