It's likely one of the mods that were installed, has grown to be outdated. Once the mod finishes updating, the scenario should work again.

Additionally, the mod is designed to be used on the latest-release, test branch of the game. Updating to the test branch can be done by following the instructions on the Steam Discussions page for this game:

Hi, I really LOVE this scenario, I spent almost all of the hours I have ingame with it. But for some reason I am unable now to load it now (new install of the game), now the game just crashes and return me to windows. I would really thank anyone who can lend me a hand here. I'm using the beta version of the game and have all the needed addons installed.
