Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2022 kl. 4:53
For requesting modded civs to be supported, please consult the author of those mods instead
McDuck 7. juli 2022 kl. 18:05
Can you add Pakistan, and more recent civs that have been added?
DudeChris33 20. dec. 2021 kl. 14:02

parijat301088 8. maj 2021 kl. 0:42

SirBobbyTheOwl 17. feb. 2021 kl. 3:56
would be a good addition to fill the void up north
SirBobbyTheOwl 17. feb. 2021 kl. 3:56

hawkseye17 21. jan. 2021 kl. 20:07
This map isn't appearing in my map list
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 19. dec. 2020 kl. 13:06
I think it is "large", 10 players
I HATE DOTA 19. dec. 2020 kl. 2:31

SirBobbyTheOwl 18. dec. 2020 kl. 13:53

LT_MIM 14. dec. 2020 kl. 18:38
Is there any way to make Phoenicia spawn at Tunis?
Gedemo 14. dec. 2020 kl. 13:17
I added support for Tibet, Timurides, Hittites, Hannibal, Ramses, Hatshepsut, Theodora, Caesar and Ashoka
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 10. dec. 2020 kl. 9:13
I've spoken to the Authors of Tibet, Timurides, Iran and Somalia, and they are hopefully going to add support for the map
McDuck 4. dec. 2020 kl. 13:35
Will check Venice again: last time I played, Venice was placed where Antioch is.

Can you sometime do a Middle East map that starts from Pakistan and goes all the way to West Africa, so that it could accommodate Mali and Morocco? Essentially, shifts the map westwards, deleting India and including North Africa. The northernmost part of the map can be Turkey's Black Sea coast.

This would then have

* Egypt
* Nubia
* Arabia
* Sumeria
* Persia
* Scythia
* Ottomans
* Phoenicia
* Ethiopia
* Babylon
* Byzantine
* Macedon
* Greece

And from the mod civs

* Iran
*Seljuqs
*Timurides
*Selucid
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 30. nov. 2020 kl. 10:25
According to my XML files, Venice should be where Venice is in real life already
Hoshi 29. nov. 2020 kl. 18:02
I love this map but i'd like one with less asia part and more focused on mesopotania
McDuck 29. nov. 2020 kl. 13:07
Thanks

Whenever you have time, some more suggestions for this map from mods that are out there:

Iran
Seljuqs
Tibet
Selucids
Timurides
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 29. nov. 2020 kl. 3:27
Seems I have forgotten that one, will fix
McDuck 28. nov. 2020 kl. 20:33
Why is Venice located where Antioch normally is? It should be in Italy
McDuck 28. nov. 2020 kl. 20:31
Thanks. Started a mini game of Byzantine vs Ottoman on this map using TSL, and it worked!
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2020 kl. 8:38
Oh and, please test it out and report back any bugs you may find.
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2020 kl. 8:35
Well, a bit late with updating for Byzantine and Ethiopia (I've had a lot to do lately) but now it's FINALLY updated for Byzantine, Ethiopia and Babylon (including the city-state changes -> Venice and Anshan).
McDuck 26. nov. 2020 kl. 7:17
Yeah, can you update for Babylon, Byzantine and Ethiopia as well? Also, some of the mod civs, like Timurides, Seljuqs, Tibetans
EZO-47 22. nov. 2020 kl. 0:45
Can you please update the Middle East map for Babylon.
I like these maps very much, they are awesome.
Hoshi 15. aug. 2020 kl. 12:01
Btw, there is way too many volcanos one beside the other :O (maybe it is location acurate but it messes a bit the playability)
Hoshi 15. aug. 2020 kl. 8:11
Is there a version somewhere without reaching india? but not getting full europe as well...
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 31. juli 2020 kl. 3:59
I'll get to add it soon(tm)
colbycronin 27. juli 2020 kl. 22:56
addin' a TSL for that there Ethiopia maychance?
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2020 kl. 11:38
Volcanoes can only be removed if you don't play with gathering storm rules. And also, an update to the map is due for some of the new city-states... whenever Workshop Uploader decides to load everything in correctly...
LT_MIM 21. maj 2020 kl. 18:47
Is there a way to remove the volcanoes?
Infradig 12. maj 2020 kl. 13:13
So I decided to get all the DLC for this quarantine. I'm half Lebanese and always wish they did Lebanon, Phoenicia, or Canaan, but never realized it was in one of the expansions. I was really excited when I saw Phoenicia in the expansion, but then also equally disappointed when there was no scenarios and no Middle East true start map. Thanks so much for this!!

(Only complaint is if you want to be historically accurate, it shouldn't have Carthage, because that's a Phoenician city :steamhappy: )
mkaufman 27. apr. 2020 kl. 5:55
Am I crazy, or are there no strategic resources?
dvvent 22. apr. 2020 kl. 20:58
Thank you for this map. It is brilliantly made.

However, I have some question, is there any limit for players and city states?

I always play with 10 CIVs and 12 City States, however I noticed that 1 or 2 Civs in each game will never found their second city and they stay with single city throughout the game...

Or is it just me?
Gedemon 14. apr. 2020 kl. 11:44
I've done it differently, no need for modders to update their custom civilization, requires a 10-20 seconds initialization per session to load a quick game and the Gameplay Database, see the development thread, version available on gitHub only for alpha testing.
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 22. mar. 2020 kl. 8:22
@Gedemon, could always have that as an option. Seems like a good idea
Huan 21. mar. 2020 kl. 13:34
@Gedemon, I think that would be an awesome addition :)
Gedemon 18. mar. 2020 kl. 3:36
I've pondered adding a table in <FrontEnd> to list all supported civs for a map, then add an option to use only "certified TSL" civs on the setup screen, even when set to random.

But that would require all custom civs modders to update their mods (or/and YnAMP map creators to provide a list with their map)
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2020 kl. 2:59
@Huan yes, unfortunately that's how it works with YnAMP
Danana 11. feb. 2020 kl. 11:47
Have you considered working with the Terra Merabilis creators to use their mod assets in this? There a few wonders like Mount Sinai that would probably work great in this.
Huan 28. jan. 2020 kl. 13:22
This is great, thank you Zobtzler! I have a noob question that I can't find the answer to. I set up this Middle East map with several user mods activated (Civitas Armenia, Gedemo Hittites, etc.). I start with everyone randomed. Australia shows up in the game, why? As well the Antananarivo city-state. Am I going to have to choose everyone's civ before starting to ensure only middle eastern civs (and city-states) are in the game? I love and much prefer randoming, but I suppose the civs could be chosen beforehand with a random number generator. Thank you
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2019 kl. 11:51
I am quite sure this has to do with YnAMP as it uses YnAMP's resource scripts
Cryptic Mr. Chimes 10. juli 2019 kl. 9:18
For some reason, strategic resources don't seem to appear anywhere on the map the last two times I tried playing as Persia. Is this a regular problem or just something going wrong on my end? I love the map and would like to play it but the lack of strategics being revealed is understandably disconcerting.
TuT-N-Karim 29. maj 2019 kl. 5:03
Is there a way to have the same map but without all these volcanoes?
Danael21 16. mar. 2019 kl. 9:49
Hi, thanks for tthe mod, but I have 2 questions. What is the size of the map (in terms of tiles)? and how many civs and city states do you advise to play with? thanks a lot
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 15. mar. 2019 kl. 2:40
@Raseac Yxes Thanks! Fixed it
caesar_unofficial 14. mar. 2019 kl. 10:19
Btw love the mod, thank you!
caesar_unofficial 14. mar. 2019 kl. 10:18
There is one large river nearby the start position of the Sumer, which flows down from the mountains to the main rivers in Mesopotamia. The problem is, I can see the name, but not the river itself.
In my last few games nearly all of the city states startet in India for some reason.
The strange river is not a big deal at all, but these indian city states are quite annoying. I'd be very thankful, if you could fix it.
Thx
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 11. mar. 2019 kl. 17:31
Alright, map is now updated for Gathering Storm
If you have any feedback, write it here
Zobtzler  [ophavsmand] 10. mar. 2019 kl. 17:43
Currently having issues with the map crashing after updating for GS. Will try to fix this and post an update in a few days
