Has there been any updates, I would like to play mods with more enemies/combat but not sure which is best.

We used the -25% exp at first and things were fine, but we added level scaleing in to make things abit more difficult so we also decided to get the -50%... now most the mobs don't give exp, it appears switching -exp mid game mess's up the exp.

Hi Moth, there is a known issue with starting enemies that only grant 1 XP on death. Could you try fighting the enemies you mention with the XP mod disabled? Then see how much XP each enemy gives you?

If they only give 1 XP each before mod is enabled, that would be your problem: Less EXP Gain mods reduce experience by 25/50/75 percent, but such enemies would then always give 0 XP. Sadly that is all ForgottenAmnesia can do in this mod for now.

Alternatively, ForgottenAmnesia would have to remember each time XP was rounded down, and then round it up the next time, and vice versa. Over time that should approximate the 25/50/75 percent (a 100% less XP gain version would not suffer from such rounding issues).

I started out with the -25% exp reduction to see how the scaling would go. However, I still leveled to quickly and decided to use this version. Now all the mobs don't give any exp whatsoever.

2019, this mod still removes xp completely from other mobs. Same goes for the 75 and 25 versions as well. I downloaded this simply to turn off xp whenever I reach the max level for each act---basically, i let my characters take xp normally, and then, using this mod, i turn off xp when my characters reach the ideal level for the act.

Fort Joy: level 9
Reaper's Coast: level 16
Nameless Isle: level 18
Arx: level 22

I've run across the same issue of certain npcs not giving experiance while this mod is on. Removing the other mods (Divine Scaling, Monster Madness and More Monster Spawns) sadly doesnt fix certain types of mobs not giving exp with this mod or the 75 and 25 versions. Recommend running the 50% and not caring about mobs not giving exp or running the 75% and turning the mod off if you hit a pack that dont give exp to keep the levels in a good spot with DS, MM amd MMS on.

In the divinity engine you can find the list in the stats editor
Echo 3 Oct, 2018 @ 9:27am
And where would I find this list? I could look in the editor and test a few things myself.

I changed the gain modifier to about half for any enemy with a gain modifier in the list.

Testing without the mod confirms that all the enemies in question give xp. Alas, since I'm running with a level scaling mod, I'd really prefer to use this mod.
Let me know if I can assist with helping to fix this issue.

I'm curious how exactly you implemented the xp decrease. Thing is, I run into a lot of enemies that simply give no xp at all with this mod. For example, in the Blackpits fight of magisters vs voidwoken, half the voidwoken give no xp and half the magisters give no xp.
What gives?

@-Snoopi- the Divine Scaling mod is what you are looking for.
The Hat 10 Sep, 2018 @ 6:24am
Thanks for this mod its perfect if I double the enemies for larger party games!
ForgottenAmnesia  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 4:13pm
Enemy upscaling how? I know of a few mods that buff enemies and make them harder for DE
-Snoopi- 8 Sep, 2018 @ 4:10pm
Well I am using enemy randomisation, but not multiple enemy option.

I still think the 75% possibly even 50% reduction version might be overkill? I don't know, I could be wrong as I have not got to late game in DE or Vanilla.

@ForgottenAmnesia, can you make an enemy upscaling mod?
ForgottenAmnesia  [author] 8 Sep, 2018 @ 9:45am
I can noodle up a 25% version as well. From my experience, even just past fort joy, you start to become over leveled and the game became stompy. 50% is for a more challenging experience and 75% is for if you use mods that multiply enemies and like to amp the challenge that way like enemy randomization

Yeah i would like a 25% version aswell.

Strange he only did 50% and 75%, wouldn't that be over kill and cause your character to be somewhat under leveled late game?

Unless the author has in mind other mods that would unaturally gain you levels by late game?
atletikus 8 Sep, 2018 @ 4:42am
Looking for the 25% less version. I maybe wrong, but 50-75% sounds like overkill.

Can anyone say what their character level was by the end of the game and if they were completionist on all possible quests aswell?

What was it without this mod and then what would it be with this mod?
