One tip/hint I can give: always try bulldozing connecting streets before upgrading - this is the most common cause for crashes (although after the last update I no longer experienced any).
Your most requested feature, longer platforms, has been implemented - up to 320m are now possible. However, due to the way the platforms are shaped, you can actually fit trains up to about ~330-340m.
Unfortunately, updates regarding the type of street or the connections are not planned - sorry.

@Tactical Combat Peanut: the game upgrading fences to streets is due to the fence being classified as a street - the only way to make it draggable. Sorry about that, but it's hardcoded that the AI can upgrade streets at will, so no one will be able to fix that.
I am still investigating the use of Horton in Ribblesdale fencing in country side growth control. I may have something to announce by next week.

Click on 4 terminals and the game crashes.

@captain403: pass if you want, or go to res\construction\station\rail\YD_HIR.con and change the "0.5" at the very end of line 600 to "0.1". Yoshi and I are currently looking into updating to reduced costs, but need to consult the vanilla stations first on pricing! :)
