I had a simple idea of how a grav-gun would work. Just normal rifles/pistols/cannons that ignore armour and gain bonus damage based on armour.
No idea how many of your team are still working on things but I'd thought I'd at least throw the idea out there.
Furthermore, many things changed from one to the other; new coding scripts, new texture and material shaders, etc. So even if we did have both, we can't just compile the assets in each and be done with it. Much needs to change inside the mechanics of how each piece is added to the game. The assets need to be reworked, the textures as well, etc.

I would suggest to give the Plasma guns the animations of the sniper rifle but retexture the projectile fired so its glowing plasma rather then being made of lead, so that its like you're shooting a single charged shot at someone and not a beam (its not a laz cannon afterall).
Out of a personal nitpick i think you should have some more shots of the character stances with the marine armor, the one presented in the thumbnail and preview does not do the mod justice with their clipping on the left hand.
Do you think that the main SM mod will be coming soon?
The weapon's payload also has a chance to explode on impact, damaging/ killing everything in its blast radius.
You can also edit the *magazine* capacity yourself.

Please please PLEASE make some weapon skin mods for the conventional weaponry:
Cannon = Heavy Bolter
Assault Rifle = Bolter
Sniper Rifle = As per W40K Space Marine Sniper Rifle
Shotgun = I would have said Plasma Gun or Melta Gun
Sword = Chainsword or Thunder Hammer
Hunter's Axe = Power Axe
Bolt Caster = Rocket Launcher
