Oats  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. 2013 kl. 19:24
awesome, i'm glad to hear you got it working :)
Der Bestimmer 7. sep. 2013 kl. 11:22
I added some of your icons to the standard imageset for potions and edited the imageset file by hand, worked great.
Der Bestimmer 7. sep. 2013 kl. 11:21
Hello, I used your mod in my compilation: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=175964910 . Credits were given.
Der Bestimmer 7. sep. 2013 kl. 5:29
yes, as it is needed to select the images in GUTS.
Oats  [ophavsmand] 5. sep. 2013 kl. 18:21
Do you have both the dds from this mod and the png from mediafire in the same mod folder?
Der Bestimmer 5. sep. 2013 kl. 12:58
I just found the png on mediafire. It is twice the sice from the one I made with paint.net from your original dds file. What program do you use for image conversion? Does the png need special parameters?
Der Bestimmer 5. sep. 2013 kl. 12:46
Hello,

your dds file is 1024x1024, instead of 512x512. GUTS crashes since I started it up with the 2 files of this mod in the working mod folder. Did you encountes this before?
I first redid the dds, imageset files for 512x512 and made a png file, but it did not help. Then
I removed all the mods from the mod folder, checked GUTS integrity via Steam, unsubscribed this mod and removed its file. GUTS still crashes.
mamba 20. aug. 2013 kl. 18:04
That worked, thanks
Oats  [ophavsmand] 20. aug. 2013 kl. 16:03
Not sure what is wrong with it, it's acting wierd for me too now. Tried to edit the link and all it did was refuse to turn it in to a link. However, if you copy the url that I added to the collection page and paste it in to your browser, it should work just fine now. Let me know if it still gives you any troubles.
mamba 18. aug. 2013 kl. 11:58
The "(located HERE)" one that should link to the PNGs
Oats  [ophavsmand] 16. aug. 2013 kl. 15:26
which link are you talking about?
mamba 13. aug. 2013 kl. 14:53
Your link does not seem to work, it takes me straight back to this page
Oats  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2013 kl. 8:04
ps, always make sure to check the first part of the .IMAGESET file to make sure that you have all of the files in the proper directories. This is a common issue as some of my icon collections do not use the standard locations and folders that the game naturally uses to store icons for certain categories of items. While this unfortunately may cause some confusion, it does allow users to use my icon sets without any worry of overwriting files native to the game or causing naming conflicts with files. This ensures that both the original icons and the RR Series can be used without worry (even though almost all the RR sets have a BASE version of each icon witch is unchanged). Sorry if this may have contributed to any complications you were encountering.
Oats  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2013 kl. 8:00
Yes actually, If you open up the Rainbow Redux Collection page (located HERE ), there is a link to all of the PNG and DDS files that are used by any of the RR Series. Terribly sorry for the slow reply, and thanks for trying out my icons :)
Lone Wolf McQuade 6. aug. 2013 kl. 14:03
I tried to use the folder from the download Bandit posted of all your Icons, that had the PNG file in it, but I wasn't able to get the potion icons to work in-game. I could select them in GUTS (although the icon locations were all out of whack), but once i launched the game, the icons would just be blank.

I also tried to open the DDS file in GIMP but apparently that file type isn't supported. Is there anywhere I can download a working version, with the PNG files? You can try using Dropbox.
mamba 26. juni 2013 kl. 22:47
Dang, I thought I had found a way to trick GUTS, but apparently you already tried that ;)
Oats  [ophavsmand] 26. juni 2013 kl. 22:30
PS The ONLY reason that PNG file is able to be included is because it is the preview graphic. No other PNG files that are put into the mod actually get retained in the final publication.
Oats  [ophavsmand] 26. juni 2013 kl. 22:28
@Mamba, The png file that is included in the MEDIA folder is the preview graphic for the mod. As seen above, it is just the sample graphic displayed in the steam workshop. I have thought about using this in the past as a way to include the PNG file just to simplify things, unfortunately the I believe the actual PNG file you need for the mod to work is too big to be a preview image for the steam workshop. The solution that I am currently thinking about it simply hosting the PNG files for all of the mods in this series on an external storage site so that people can just download them. I just need to find the time to mess with it, the time to add links to all of my files on the workshop, and find a storage site that doesn't try to soak my mod users in unwanted downloads and spyware.
mamba 26. juni 2013 kl. 21:58
Yes, it is working. Here's an idea though, your mod does contain a png file, it just happens to be in the MEDIA folder, not the one the dds file is in. So you can add png files...

Couldn't you then add the png file to that folder as well ? Then all someone has to do is move it to the right folder rather than create it from the dds file...
Oats  [ophavsmand] 26. juni 2013 kl. 16:14
@Mamba, Yeah, I had no idea for the longest time that it wasn't including it. Had to work with several of my regular users before I realized what the problem was. Actually spoke with some people on the Runic forum before I got an answer on this one. Were you able to get them working?
mamba 26. juni 2013 kl. 14:42
Thanks, didn't know that GUTS does not package the png.
Oats  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2013 kl. 23:32
@Momba PS the file in the Media directory of the mod is simply a preview file for the steam workshop, it is of no use to you.
Oats  [ophavsmand] 25. juni 2013 kl. 23:31
@Mamba This is actually a known problem. You need to have both a PNG and DDS coppy of the graphic file in the mod directory to allow functionality in both TL2 and in the GUTS editor. Unfortunately GUTS will not include them both as it does not see both files as required for the mod, so it leaves one out. Unfortunately so far, what people have been having to do is openthe DDS file that comes with the mod up in some graphic editor that supports DDS (GIMP, Photoshop, Paint.NET) and save it as a PNG to the same directory that the DDS is in. Once both of those files are there, the editor will allow you to select the icon graphics as usual. Sorry for the inconvinience. If you can't get them to work after this, let me know and I'll see if I can help you out some more.
mamba 25. juni 2013 kl. 19:32
Actually, that seems to be because you do not include a png file. When I rename the png files in the TL2\MEDIA directory, the same thing happens for the standard icons.
mamba 25. juni 2013 kl. 19:12
None of your files work for me in GUTS. For example, use Data Editors - Units - Items, Filter POTIONS, pick one, next to its icon, press the 'modify' buttton and navigate to one of the RR imagesets. You get an image that is too small, all gray with the top left quarter being red and an empty imagelist.
Compare that to the standard imagesets, where you see the icons and get a list of the names of the different images they contain.
Not sure what is causing this, can you check if they work for you ?

Some of those old fish (catfish, dogfish, and elemental fish) were showing up in the vendor inventory in my Master Angler mod even though they were broken. Finally just changed thier item type to keep them from showing up there anymore since they didn't work, lol. Fixing them would have been better, but, until I have the time... oh well.
timothy3_16 13. juni 2013 kl. 16:54
I don't mess around with a whole lotta modding, I do like to make my own quircky potions, fish etc, I also like to bring all the wonderful fish and potions not in use in the meadia folder back into the game( most of them are from TL1 I have noticed :} )
Oats  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2013 kl. 16:15
Not a problem. I'm just glad so many people are finding these useful. Enjoy! :)
timothy3_16 13. juni 2013 kl. 13:18
happy days, thank you again for being very diligent and investing the time it takes to create as well as tech support yuor mods, know that from me it is very appreciated
Oats  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2013 kl. 5:32
should work now
Oats  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2013 kl. 5:29
I made a mistake on the imageset file on this one. I'll fix it up real quick.
timothy3_16 12. juni 2013 kl. 23:03
Has anyone else mentioned haveing a problem with the potions skins not working? When I use them it shows what looks to either spell or skill shodows in the consumables bag.
