I have no experience with Pointshop, but if you want to replace the original hat you can click the link that is in the description which is the original mod that replaces the actual TF2 hat. If you're the owner of the server that has Pointshop, just install this mod and you should customize it so it would be in it.

Bear with me.. what would the model be used for? You mentioned that it's a hat model. Can we pull it into a program like pointshop or something? Or is it mainly used for posing?

It means that it doesn't replace the original model.

Example: If this wouldn't be hexed it would replace some TF2 hat like the Demo's Fro.

But if it is hexed, it's a whole new model that doesn't replace anything at all.
