The chainsaw still takes up the secondary slot instead of the melee slot.

Why is the chainsaw being considered a secondary instead of a melee? Do I have a mod that's conflicting?

Ey boss, this does work online. you need to make sure every player has it installed and run a Local server, as opposed to official dedicated. Same goes for any scripts, my friends and I run some very specific scripts to get over gameplay gripes.

is it possible to make this mod work online (campaign)?

anyone know if theres a mod that *just* gives the melee slot? i have a few other script mods affecting the m16 and deagle, so this conflicts with them.. which means i dont think either one will work at all?

Is there a version that removes the Melee slot and m16 changes? not a fan of those because it makes the game a bit too easy imo.

Pressing y on xbox dosen't pull out the melee weapon

Can bots use melee weapons even with it being in a new slot? When will they tend to use melee weapons?

I'd like to recommend this mod be used with Left 4 Bots as apparently it doesn't overlap the already-improved Bots from that segment of this mod, but it also makes it a little more fun for me (even though my internet sucks enough to where I can't join the "Best Dedicated Server", so I'm stuck playing offline).

Is there any way to disable some Feature? Because the melee slot and the ammo packs feature confusing for the bots, but the other feature are very great

You don't need to have Improved Bots installed/enabled while this mod is because it's included with this mod.

Yep, that is the problem. Bots will not recognize any item that isn't in its original slot.

One thing that saddens me is that the survivor bots don't pick up melee weapons anymore, i guess moving the melee to a different slots makes them unrecognizable for the AI since they don't have the coding for an extra slot, unlike players.

You should be able to change the key in the options menu.

Thanks for the additional info. I just uploaded another update. I think the issue should be fixed now.

So unfortunately, this still causes the issue. I've narrowed it down to something within the Gamedata.txt, as I took it out from the file itself and it stopped all the crashing. It throws up a precache error, trying to load one of the survivors from the L4D2 (gambler, producer, mechanic, coach). I've heard this is caused by an old skin database that's saved within the file. I tried looking for the problem line, but nothing so far. Yes, I double-checked with my skins to make sure they load in properly, and they do. I've narrowed it down to this mod specifically. I think it might have something to do with the Improved Bots, but I'm not sure. All I'm sure of is that it's caused by something in the Gamedata.txt file.

I just uploaded an update that should fix that issue. Try it out and let me know.

This mod causes you to crash when loading between levels on any campaigns using the L4D1 survivors.

Haven't had this happen to me. Do you have anything else installed like scripts?

During my one playthrough using this mod, my teammates picked identical weapons (example Tier 2 Combat Rifle) and after that, they didn't grabbed any weapons at all the entire time, though only one of them pick a Tier 2 Sniper Rifle. Is this a bug or its being stuck like that since before 'The Last Stand' update?

Hey Ziggy thanks for updating. Could you look into if the moved melee slot still works? Whenever I pick up a melee weapon, it drops my pistol.
