This collection is defunct now that Jazztronauts can fit into a single workshop upload. I'm not going to delete it (just in case someone is using it as their server collection), but it's not really doing anything useful anymore.

I didn't know how many toddlers traversed the Gmod workshop until now.

I downloaded all the required addons/items, but I'm having difficulty getting the maps..

The start of the gamemode requires you complete jazz_intro just once, then it'll let you load any map you want.

Jazztronauts is fun so far, but I can't get my level selector working. All it does is show static, even when I click E on all the buttons near it. Could anyone help?

Just got it too lol was about to come back and inform some people, but also the one map seemed to be broken and kept spawning stuff resulting in the dust particles to freeze up my pc

K so what I did to get it going was.

Even though I thought I was starting a jazztronauts game when selecting the mode, I ended up joining a server which clued me into the fact you need to go to the bottom right of gmod in the main menu and make sure it says jazztronauts instead of sandbox. which seems obvious now but i'm kind of a gmod noob. joining a working configured jazztronauts server was the sure fire way to get it in the proper mode but I would assume doing the thing in the bottom right will work as well. once you do that its pretty straightforward and you get messages telling you whatever you might be doing wrong, like starting a game in single player, needs to be atleast 2player and just set it to lan or make it passworded

I suggest experiencing the intro and a brief solo experience to get the real feel as joining a populated server hosting an rp map was a completely dead and confusing experience. let me know if you have any questions or need more help getting it going

Same problem the guy below me is having

all I can seemingly do is go to the jazz bar and im basically in creative mode, nothing seems to be happening and there are a few interactive elements. i noclip a distance through a wall and theres some sort of world building demonstration floating off somewhere which has various examples of seemingly random things, brushes, surfing, destructible elements.... ok cool wish I could play the game and its mildly annoying that the jazzbar is massively bloated unless this area is actually used in gameplay somehow, doesn't seem like it though.

anyways I have selected the gamemode jazztronauts and the only map I see is jazzbar and this is what happens

everyone who is having problems: disable all your addons and enable the jazztronauts gamemode and its content packs, then try again

I can't find the map to start it. I have all of the content downloaded and it's set to the right gamemode but the map won't show up.

this is dumb cuz after i uninstalled everything when i join a online server it says welcome to jazztronauts even when im not playing on jazztronauts gamemode and i uninstalled everything

This looks like it's gonna be the next big thing on GMod. From the trailer, the effort towards this looked massive, meaning the gameplay should be well structured, not to mention fun! I can't wait!

Also the purple water section in the lounge has no physical way for the player to get back onto the diner area. Please fix this.

Any idea why the Intro causes a MP host to have 2-5 FPS? is it because its not meant to be played in multiplayer?
