tbf it does say in the description not to use in a new game, and there's a separate updated version, but I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
Most likely to be a glitch, there should just be a normal talk option. Either way I'd recommned moving to the newer direwolves redone mod, which is more stable
Thanks, I hope you enjoy it!
I did address that issue in the updated version by moving the direwolves further from Riverwood, and after several tests I'm happy that they are far enough away not to cause any problems. However, there is still a possibilty that other people will have a different exeprince, although no one seems to have had a problem so far.
Go back to where you sent it away, and where you first got it and see if it's in either of those places.
If not, uninstall and reinstall the mod (make a save game in between)
Well... He's a wolf
Go back to the place where you found him the first time by the bear. There is a new version which fixes all bugs (Direwolves in Skyrim REDONE)
I have tried to do that, but I can't find a tutorial anywhere orr any imformation to help me do it.
(altho they are scripted to die anyways), it stops the game because the guard captain isn't alive to say "get them to the block" or whatever it was she says
Cool mod. I just had a couple of problems:
1: I found them way too tough for starting characters (esp in packs of 5 or 6). Have you thought of having them lvl with the character with a min level of 5 and at 2x the rate of the character (lvl 5 character meets lvl 10 direwolf and so on). That way they still pose a challenge but aren't tougher than a dragon. (I'm playing on legendary difficulty, with a mod called deadly dragons -- still beat the dragon easier (15 - 20 minutes) than I did your direwolves (almost an hour).)
2: When starting a new game everyone in Helgen dies and you can't progress throught the game.
Other than those two issues it's an awesome mod. Keep up the good work.
ps they almost killed everyone in riverwood once thats not a good thing
