it's because spears didn't get much love from the devs lol
they have a slightly better reach (something so useless most people don't notice) and higher damage output than a single dagger (but not dual weilded) and there's no vanilla skills specific to spear use but a mountain of dagger specific skills.

Honestly, I don't think spears get very much love in my experience, so who am I to deny you the pleasure if I didn't post this override =P.

Awesome! I might have to try it myself. I haven't really messed with Weapon Choices too much but I do have it installed.

this override meshes really well with Weapon Choices V2, where it makes the spear actually useful.
