Hey @TRAV , sorry to bother you but would it be ok if I make an inspired build based on this? I first discovered this ship in an old Keen SE trailer and wanted it. I later learned it was your build but I would like to make some revisions and share it on the workshop. I am happy to provide the link to your item and give due credit, of course.

Did not asked. But I don't really mind, it's their game :b
Star Captain Pryde 19. mar. 2023 kl. 14:57
So did Keen have permission to upload this on their workshop page, or did they just straight up yoink it?
mhwyoshi 14. juli 2022 kl. 8:29
Honestly it looks like a large and really good interplanetary shuttle!
mhwyoshi 14. juli 2022 kl. 8:28
This was actually also used in the trailers!

@TRAV. Great design, one of the best on the workshop but with a little flaw which is very easy to fix. As many users have pointed the ship tilts on its own.

There are two sollutions to tilting problem:

Solution No.1 (suggested earlier, not good imo): Select winglet rotors (pro tip: the ones that causes the tilting are hidden in terminal) and enable "Share inertia tensor". It fixes the tilting problem but makes ship a lot more sluggish in terms of pitch/yaw/roll. Sharing inertia tensor equalizes inertial forces and mass of connected grids (according to TerrorBite post on reddit).

Solution No.2 (my solution): Select all 6 rotors supporting winglets (all of them are hidden in terminal: Rotor, Rotor 2, Rotor 3, Rotor 4, Rotor 5, Rotor 6) and set "Rotor displacement" on all of them to 0 (zero). You don't lose agility, you stop the self tilting and the ship looks the same (almost because it shifts winglets 11cm further back, but its unnoticeable... ship is 90 meters long).

idk, to be honest everything on this ship is already antiques. The script uses a timer as well if I remember correctly.
I recommend you go search for similar scripts from the workshop. It's often easier to set one up with its instructions, rather than copy one that's already installed. The one I used here came from workshop as well. But unfortunetly, I don't remember which one it is. My point is that scripts after the last few updates are much easier to use. They don't need timer. Go for those.

I don't know if you still check on this thread but if you are I have an issue with your airlock programmation. It work like a charm on your ship, but when I try it on another ship with the same configuration and doors' names I can't make it work... Do you know why ? I Copy Paste your code, change the doors's name like "airlock_10a", etc. Program say "IDLE" but that doesn't work :/
Thank you in advance if you check this ^^

I know, the ship is outdated and have problems in the new version of the game. But Im too lazy to fix it....
AngryDragon 21. feb. 2020 kl. 11:37
Quick side note... I really like the design, but when I took it up for the first time, I noticed that it was tilting on it's own. Past experience tells me that this is related to rotors, so I went outside, got a quick look and noticed that the rear wings are all on rotors. Turning on share inertia tensor fixes this issue. I quickly made the adjustment and after that, it was flying level just fine. You might want to update the blueprint with this option turned on.

go ahead, just credit pls.
Chronic748 21. jan. 2020 kl. 10:50
i made a modified version of this ship{used living area layout} and made the thrust pack smaller and some detatchable tool modules would you mind if i published it? after im done refining the blueprint further

i cant stop the spinning, and yes i read all the comments, still nothing :(

Does it have refinery, assembler, and so on? Gorgeous ship!
Lechuza 6. maj 2019 kl. 1:55
@zippy how do i do that?

Dame 15. apr. 2019 kl. 16:31
ship is rotating badly because the displacement setting is minus, just set them to a number where it does not spin the ship
Potato 8. apr. 2019 kl. 19:28
Umm, can anyone help me, that this ship will roll by itself, I don't know how to stop it. Help me please:steamsad:
BarryTGash 13. mar. 2019 kl. 13:34
@MrJoeUniverse - that's rotors for you. If you need to hover, toggle Share Inertia Tensor on, on all rotors, wait a few seconds for everything to stabilise then you can toggle SIT off again (or wait until you're about to resume travelling then toggle SIT off). Might need rotor lock on as well but can't check. Unfortunately have SIT on all the time seriously reduces the manoeuvrability.
Joe, the Eternity Warden 12. mar. 2019 kl. 20:32
@rrp2727 Tried your solution. Was completely stationary and on the surface of an Earth-like planet. For some reason, even when I'm in the driver's seat, the ship gradually arcs backwards.
Joe, the Eternity Warden 12. mar. 2019 kl. 20:12
@rrp2727 Thanks! I'll try it and report back soon. I was doing some troubleshooting of my own and found out if I remove the rotors connected to the wings, the rotation stops. Still troubleshooting.
Nutso27 12. mar. 2019 kl. 19:23
@TRAV If you go to the link the @Arstraea posted and go to the time 2:06 in the video you will see it in blue.
Nutso27 12. mar. 2019 kl. 18:50
@MrJoeUniverse, I have that same problem with everything that I paste in when I am FLYING around. It seems to stop when I am landed on the ground in an atmospheric environment.
Joe, the Eternity Warden 11. mar. 2019 kl. 20:00
When I paste the ship into my game, for some reason, it's constantly tumbling backwards. Can't figure out the problem. Any ideas for a solution?
Kilovus Loxic 4. mar. 2019 kl. 18:43
Cool... Too bad I can't build it in survival cause of all the sub grids...

Congratulations! You creation was sponsored in a S.E. Trailer! I instantly thought it looked familiar and recognized it a few seconds later.

OMG, you're a master of this game! Nice ships. Nice videos!
EHDJ 14. feb. 2019 kl. 19:16
wow, the tron music works so good with this! The ship is sweet!

This Ship is amazing! but it sucks that it goes past its power limit when in space w/ hydro and ion on :c

ThijmenDF 6. aug. 2018 kl. 10:57
@bettenlager Music's from Daft Punk's "TRON: Legacy" Album. Song's called "Fall" in case you didn't know ;)

the small video was amazing :D
dapi 25. juli 2018 kl. 10:13
when it speed up to about 300m/s (i use mod ) it become very unstable, and change drection itself
idont know why, can you make a little improve? its really a fantastik ship
Delta Hawk 24. juli 2018 kl. 16:44
The cockpit could be a lot better, but the rest of the ship is one of the most awesome "Light Heavies" I've seen for Space Engineers.
