How do I program or build the robots?

@darktooth3 - Did you try pushing the red button in the first shed? Something will happen. There won't be any robots though because I think there's no fun if you don't get to build your own stuff. That's what it's all about anyway. However, if you feel like using pre-made stuff there's plenty of robots on the workshop, even some that I made.

@R3TR0 - Regardless of getting attention or not I will probably update this sometime early next year. I will see what I can do in terms of making this more user-friendly and not just a map, but a gamemode. I still have no clue whatsoever on programming for gmod or anything so that might take some time, but yeah, keep an eye out if you're interested.

Well, you wrote (been seeing this mod for a VERY long time) that you'll continue working if it gets enough attention, but to get this attention you have to make it more appealing for the standard GMod player without TOO much experience, if you look at other popular mods, they are kept simple (well, TTT is kind of simple, but it's FPS so yeah) like Murder, but this RC Battle Arena has the potential of becoming more since the gameplay can change a lot by building different robots, Murder for example was fun white it lasted, but after some rounds it gets boring of the repetetive gameplay (you could change the map of course, but IMO it's not that much of a change.

@R3TR0 - That would be awesome, if I end up making a sequel to this mod I will make sure to look into having something like this. I just really didn't know how to do it when I made this, so I just released the map and left it for the players to do their own thing with it.

That is what I know in GMOD, but I was curious if there would be something similar to "Flood", where props have health and have to be bought with money, that would make it easier to say who just won.

@R3TR0 - And making a robot isn't that hard really, all you need is an item, which can be anything from a TV to a bath tub, get some wheels or anything that is round, use the axis tool to attach it to the item you used as the body and then just add thrusters to the back and the sides. The thrusters are the remote, you just have to assign different controls to each group of thrusters depending on what side they are on. So lets say, when you press W it will activate the thrusters at the back, when you press A it will activate the ones at the right (remember, thrusters will push the robot to the left, making you go left, but they have to be on the right side of the robot for this to work) and finally, pressing D will make the ones at the left activate making you go right.

@R3TR0 and @commando140991 - Check my other workshop items, I have a few of the ones I use to battle over there. The controls are in the description. I was going to add robots to the map, but I don't think there is a way to do that, and if there is, that would take quite a bit of skill with the SDK which I don't have.

Could you do a little tutorial of how to create a simple robot, the only "premade" ones I can find are those with camera, lamp and Dynamite and these don't look like a lot fun, especially if all of your friends would get the same robot

@Darth Cookie, weird because I can't find it as well, along with all the maps I had downloaded they all disappeared. Maybe gmod updated and now its not compatible anymore. I'll look into this later (;
