Will you make more hovervehicles? or atleast semi futuristic tf2 vehicles? Id love to see you do a car sometime.

I'm not a SFM user, personally, but I do use GMod and like to use SFM models. I gotta say this model is gorgeous; I think it still fits the TF2 style pretty well considering it's a futuristic vehicle. Good work on this.

Hey, everyone. I am bumping this thread to notify those who were looking for less harsh materials on the Bee. To compensate between the metallic chassis and frame of the Bee, I added a new matte style which alters the look of the frame. I highly recommend this for those who don’t favor the shiny materials. The new matte is softer and less reflective.

❤️
Brick  [ophavsmand] 9. juli 2018 kl. 15:39
Thanks, Nefnoj! I’m getting there slowly but surely. I hope to sort all of these kinks out soon. Thanks for the advice.

This is really great! More hard edges would definitely help, maybe more details on the textures. There also seem to be a few issues where the vertices and edges aren't connecting well (like in your fifth screenshot, on the grey engine part). These are things that are hard to find, but as you practice and work with 3D software, you'll just naturally see it. I'm proud of you! Keep it up!

Thanks, thesword. I really appreciate that. If you use this for SFM, let me know what you think about it.
ValnarianKnight 9. juli 2018 kl. 7:37
In my humble opinion, you don't give yourself enough credit. If I ever get around to learning how to use sfm, I can say I will probably use this at some point.
Brick  [ophavsmand] 8. juli 2018 kl. 15:10
Dover, I appreciate your support. Vincentor, it’s clear that I have no sharp edges on here. A previous user has consulted me about the edges. You will possibly see these in the next update.
Reliantlers 8. juli 2018 kl. 15:07
hard edges, more hard edges, you have none right now it seems
Brick  [ophavsmand] 8. juli 2018 kl. 15:04
Rather than your criticisms, perhaps you can give me suggestions on what to improve.
Reliantlers 8. juli 2018 kl. 9:49
smoothing issues and doesn't fit the tf2 universe
Brick  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2018 kl. 14:25
I can see where you’re coming from with that. I can picture a barrel in place of the headlight.
neoNote 5. juli 2018 kl. 11:58
This could actually transition well into a gun
Atleast, I see it
Brick  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2018 kl. 3:44
Thanks, I’ll tinker with it for a bit.
PrivateerMan 5. juli 2018 kl. 1:46
Apparently the "Mark Sharp" thing is what you need to do, or at least it's what I was told was needed by Zappy in this discussion.
Brick  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2018 kl. 15:50
Thank you, though. I honestly appreciate your feedback about that. In order to fix this, would I have to do an auto-smooth and use the “mark sharp” feature? I haven’t really went in depth with those tools.
PrivateerMan 4. juli 2018 kl. 15:46
Of course. I just wanted to bring that up. (and I also encountered that same error, speaking as a fellow inexperienced modeller)
Brick  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2018 kl. 13:39
I’m relatively new to the whole modeling business, so please don’t expect anything perfect. I will look into this for possibly a future update as I become familiarized with materials.
PrivateerMan 4. juli 2018 kl. 13:04
I'll be honest, this thing looks more like a rubber/inflated toy rather than a metal hoverbike, which is probably due to the smoothing groups of the model.

Giving it some sharp edges will make the model look far better, IMO.
Cybershinobi 4. juli 2018 kl. 10:52
That makes me want to create a SFM race but I suck with SFM.
Thanks anyway, I hope you'll make more of these! :smile_eol:
Brick  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2018 kl. 7:34
Thanks, heartless. I appreciate your feedback.
Heartless 4. juli 2018 kl. 7:28
Can't wait keep up the good work.
Brick  [ophavsmand] 4. juli 2018 kl. 6:09
Sure, heartless. I will be working on that in my next update. I will add more skins that feature more matte textures.
Phobias 4. juli 2018 kl. 1:44
Nice
Heartless 3. juli 2018 kl. 22:10
Great work on this model can't wait to see the short but can you make the texture less shiny ?
