Pretty neat stuff. I like the upgrade system. As someone who tends to turtle up and prefers to send a couple bad boys out rather than huge armies of smaller units, this is an enjoyable avenue of expansion.

I do agree with WiredTiger that there ought to be more descriptions for the main units and their upgrades. Pretty much the only way I could figure them out was to just buy and test them one by one ingame to see what they did. Took me some time to figure out that they could only get one weapon upgrade but could get the armor upgrade alongside it. And it isn't immediately obvious what the unit's purposes are (base expansion, combat, aerial transport, mechwalker, etc.)

That problem goes away for the most part once you learn the units though, and they're quite fun to use.

Cool and interesting mod, I like the fact that you can upgrade into lots of different variants of units.

It would be pretty nice to have descriptions of the upgrades, especially for those that aren't obvious e.g. the True Steel Promotion, the Sharkpedo (which I expected to be a torpedo launcher not a missile), or the Fuel Tank CWL. Even things like knowing if the plasma gun for the MCU will hit air units or what the CWL mortar does differently to the cannon would be useful info before you buy the upgrade.

Also, the armour upgrade for the Fuel Tank CWL just seems to make it worse as the income goes from +40 to +32 but the HP does not go up.

Its more complicated than that. Replacing the builder by something else would break half of the main faction building chain. I would need to replace that half by custom buildings that build builder clones. Its a lot of work. Its almost like recreating the main faction with custom units just so i can fight it with ESE. The perfect scenario would be not to have to change the builder.

Hey, as a workaround for the faction thing, why don't you make a special ESE command centre upgrade? Then you can make a special ESE builder from there, but you can't make regular builders anymore. You could also mod the command centre so it has to get an alternative upgrade before making regular builders, so that you can only choose one of the two at the start.

It was supposed to be a faction but i ran into too many technical problems to make it so right now. Maybe in the next game update i will be able to do that.
