hey, I'm a huge fan of how well this mod was made, truly great work, and I wanted to ask whether you would make a Bohemia/Czech Republic civ mod as well. It would be absolutely awesome, though it probably takes a lot of work.
Ori Vandewalle 4. aug. 2024 kl. 21:19
4 years late here but as far as era score from inspirations, to make that work again you have to change line 102 in the file Switzerland_Scripts.lua from...

Game.ChangePlayerEraScore(playerID, 1)

to...

Game.GetEras():ChangePlayerEraScore(playerID, 1)

the only complaint is that the only leader available is industry/gold focused, is there a chance for a culture/loyalty focused one?

Hello,
I am a Swiss citizen and would like to try to create a minimalistic mod for Switzerland, but i am an absolute nut when it comes to graphics.
Whom do i ask for permission to use the icons you designed for this mod ?
Which are the minimal files i need to include to make these icons work ?
Pyroshrimp 12. feb. 2021 kl. 17:00
@laurana Kanan i tried it again with the leader and wont show up
Laurana Kanan 24. jan. 2021 kl. 15:26
@Pyro - Did you also subscribe to the Escher leader mod linked in the description?
Pyroshrimp 24. jan. 2021 kl. 14:07
the civ wont show up
Amos Thurkell 3. jan. 2021 kl. 11:20
It would be nice to consider the Kantonsparlament as a Market instead of a bank, since the Golden Bank already replaces the bank, when you play with the Owls of Minerva.
justice.dan 29. nov. 2020 kl. 9:37
Any chance of tweaking the Kantonsparlament to be a market replacement instead of bank to work with the gilded vault?
LNBalestra 27. juni 2020 kl. 16:37
Hey @Chimpan'G does this mod work with the new spawn dates mod?
EmperorOvaltine 5. apr. 2020 kl. 7:34
To clarify: I had the unique building built in the cities I checked for the + influence for established governor bit.
EmperorOvaltine 5. apr. 2020 kl. 7:33
Just did a playthrough with Switzerland and can confirm @O2Methematics and @cgbspander 's reports. I didn't get era score for triggering inspirations or influence from cities with established governors. I also wasn't getting the +1 favor from allied city states as far as I could tell. The +1 envoy from governor promotions seemed to work fine, though.
La Creatura 2. mar. 2020 kl. 10:35
Hi, just want to report that it seems getting an inspiration doesn't increase era score.
FM25 26. jan. 2020 kl. 12:47
Sorry to say that, but Switzerland not being able to build banks must be among the silliest things I ever heard of
cgbspander 13. dec. 2019 kl. 3:02
"+1 Influence per turn when there is an established Governor in the city." seems doesn't work, played several times only with SW in mod list.
RedWillow1917 15. aug. 2019 kl. 8:44
Do you take requests?
Mojave Neon 27. juli 2019 kl. 14:00
This one was a whole lot of fun, with Escher as the leader. The CUA is helpful throughout the game, and helped me chain golden ages together. I also helped me to be suzerain of many city-states, which further helped me out in the diplomatic arena. All of that put together is quite powerful, so this civ might not be the best fit for multiplayer games because of that, but it is amazingly fun for single-player games. Escher's LUA was nice, being quite useful without feeling overpowered. The Kantonsparlament was also pretty well balanced while being useful, as it takes awhile before you can even build it, but can pump out some rather nice amounts of gold thanks to its synergy with the CUA. I enjoyed the Reislaufer as well, selecting unique promotions was pretty nice. Overall, just a great civ.

@janwal it will usually be on the translation file itself, and if I recall correctly the translation for this was provided by u/WeeklyMeat on Reddit. I'll ask Digi to add that to the description above actually.
janwal 16. juli 2019 kl. 13:43
where are credits for translation?
spazzrights 19. juni 2019 kl. 0:55
Could you add John Calvin as an alt leader?
chimp  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2019 kl. 12:23
Hey @Benedikt, thanks for the feedback here as well! I think it might just be a localisation issue in some of the text - I've found that "Kantonsparlament" as one word is too long for the interface to handle in some cases, and I've been meaning to get around to separating it into two separate words, which I think will fix it.

Haha agreed on the diplomatic favor too - the AI does overvalue it, but I think that's being addressed in the next patch from Firaxis if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm currently trying to get a massive City-States Expanded rebuild across the finish line at the moment, lots of testing. But I'll be looking to update the rest of the Civitas civs as well :)
Gjando 13. juni 2019 kl. 11:47
Very nice mod. Did one complete playthrough. There are some visual bugs with the unique building. In some cases its described as a district in others as a building. Sometimes there are weird letters shown instead of a coherent text. I think it might have to do with the district being reworked into a building but not all the texts have been changed accordingly. Otherwise everything functioned as described. The leader might be too powerfull due to the ai vastly overestimating the value of Diplomatic favor. (which is of course not your fault, but you can get insane ammount of gold trading it)

I think the era score bonus is unnecessary. This leader would be good enough without it. But i guess as long as Scythia exists you dont really need to balance anything.

Very well done! Plz update your other leaders and city state mods. They are amazing.

P.s. Im making a little post about bugs I've encountered with Taino. Mbe some of them are easy to fix.

@teaman042: Yes, yes it does!
14. maj 2019 kl. 14:27
Does this have support for YNAMP?
Digihuman  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. 2019 kl. 2:52
@Hunkin11: They do indeed!
hunkim11 24. mar. 2019 kl. 23:55
Kanton have a unique 3d design? for example Reislaufer.
chimp  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2019 kl. 2:29
@schnuef here's the link to the old version if you wanted to finish your current game

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1sii5iaHZz8tE6kM1_UMIDw4fVAYRnPzT

Please be aware that this version will no longer be supported going forward though. The version that is currently live will let you play Rise & Fall only, but it will have the new UB in it instead as the AI handles it better.
Digihuman  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2019 kl. 1:35
@Panzerfan: Did you remember to also download the leader? He's been separated from the civilization itself (much like with JFD's civs).
Panzerfan 21. feb. 2019 kl. 1:28
I updated the mod, but can't select the civilization when making a new game.
I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod. It didn't work
Anyone have the same issue?
schnuef 20. feb. 2019 kl. 23:59
now with the new version I can't open my old game anymore (don't have the new dlc) :steamsad:
chimp  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2019 kl. 17:08
This has been updated for GS now. The Rise and Fall version is still there in the background, but some parts of it will change as per the description above. Two major changes are in the unique infrastructure and the split between civilization and leader.

The infrastructure is now a unique building because we found that the AI simply wasn't smart enough to use the district to a degree that makes them worth having as opposition, and the split is because we intend to make more leaders for this civ and feel like it's worth giving you guys the choice when that time comes.

Gathering Storm has made possible what we were originally aiming for with the design, so we hope you enjoy the changes! Thanks for your patience :)
Panzerfan 16. feb. 2019 kl. 16:02
@Digihuman:
Good to hear! I'm looking forward to it
Digihuman  [ophavsmand] 16. feb. 2019 kl. 11:11
@Panzerfan:
I cannot say exactly when yet, there's a lot of mods to go through first. Additionally, this civ and leader will be receiving a minor overhaul for GS (it will remain the same for R&F players, however).
Panzerfan 16. feb. 2019 kl. 10:10
When will this mod be updated for the new addon?
yves.geinoz 27. dec. 2018 kl. 13:16
Hello ! It's really fun playing with Switzerland !!! Thank you for your job !!! Where do you come from ? Gruyère ? Bulle, Gruyères, La Tour.......??????
siau2tie1 14. okt. 2018 kl. 6:31
The UU cannot upgrade to Pike and Shot like the Pikeman. But others mods of CIVITAS match Steel and Thunder mod very well.
ropestring3 27. aug. 2018 kl. 15:40
thanks. may i ask, which district does consular city states make kantos parliament give gpp for?
Digihuman  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2018 kl. 15:36
@bobbyandassociate: Hi, thanks for your question!
No, this mod does not work with Kantorr's "City-State Types Basemod" (which, based on its comment section and update history, appears to have gone unupdated since Rise and Fall came out). However, CIVITAS' "City-States Expanded" mod does add Maritime, Entertainment, and Consular city-state types, and is compatible with the Kantonsparliament.
ropestring3 27. aug. 2018 kl. 10:38
hello question there is that big civitas mod that adds more city state types like artisan does kantos parliament react to that?
Gandalf The Pimp 12. aug. 2018 kl. 3:27
@Digihuman RAF. its fine now, its ccqui acting up. thx though
Digihuman  [ophavsmand] 9. aug. 2018 kl. 0:47
@Gandalf:
Which DLC and/or mods are you using?
Gandalf The Pimp 8. aug. 2018 kl. 23:38
not sure if its just me, but i can't make traders perform trade route to other switzerland city. is there something im missing?
Llyth 6. aug. 2018 kl. 19:20
The Civitas pack is outstanding! This is developper-quality work, congratulations.
I was trying to theorycraft a few civs, but it turns out that 1) I can't mod and 2) you had really good ideas too. :D You absolutely nailed it.

Again, congrats on the good work!
jasshwua 3. aug. 2018 kl. 9:50
good mod, not to op like other modded civs
chimp  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2018 kl. 17:27
@Panzerfan hey thanks for the feedback. The capitals will be determined by the leader, and in Escher's instance, he was president of the Zurich government, leaving Bern reserved for an alt. leader down the line ;) I'm sure that's just a Civ thing where the music will change up sometimes so that it's not repeating the same tune. Switzerland's music is actually set to use the same as France, so I'm sure that the chants were from another civ that chimed in after a while.
Panzerfan 16. juli 2018 kl. 5:57
It's a nice mod, but the starting city for me was Zürich, which should be Bern, our capital
I also found the background music to be some chanting (sounding more like indians rather than swiss) i think the german or dutch one would fit better

But all in all i like the mod
watsface 5. juli 2018 kl. 7:31
These Uniques 100% suit my play style! Can't wait to try it.
