I really like WH3 a lot better then WH2 because of all the extra content. And I play with the Crisis of Mortals, Mercs and Management mod, that add population and food mechanics to armies and cities.

There is no other game like TW:WH3, not even close, and even with it's flaws it's still fantastic.

Sorry, for some reason Steam never told me you responded. Hexoatl only starts with two garrison units for some reason and that's from a different building. The capital was not adding anything for them.

And no, I just kept up with reviews of the game and have looked to see if the ai is ever improved. I was hoping for it to at least be as much of a challenge as WH2's ai...which I admittedly have a few mods for I bet. Has it been a good challenge to you?

Which garrison has no garrison? I've not played lizardmen in a long time. They probably need a touch up on my end.

Also, have you tried some of the battle AI mods?

Curses, loved this mod, but yeah, coming back to play lizardmen and Mazdamundi is in alot of trouble with no garrison. Never made the lead to WH3 as I have been waiting to hear them make the ai enemy better....which sadly is not happening.

Hey thanks! I've switched over to modding TW:WH3 for now and I don't have WH2 installed to update this mod. I will get this sorted out in the WH3 mod.

Same goes for Karak eight peaks, but just 3 units. Propably happens with many other factions. Will check. So far makes this mod bit unbalanced.

The mod should work even if it says it's out of date, as it's only adding more units to garrisons.

That's what happened I believe. I manually installed the mod in another game folder, and, figured that it needed one turn to kick in, but now it works.
So no problem with this mod, it works exactly as intended. Thank you Zorbaz.

Do you have any other mods that overwrite the garrisons? Also this mod takes one turn to kick into effect at the start of a game - otherwise I'd have to make this a startpos mod to get the units in at the start of the game, which isn't worth the incompatibility issues.

For some reason it looks like this mod doesn't work for me. Tried it with the dwarves and high elves. Doesn't look like its adding anything. Any idea ?

@Zorbaz when i use this mod as Reikland Altdorf has almost no garrison is there something wrong with the mod? or is there any other mods that conflict with this one?

Okay, I got them updated. It seems there were a few too many units in some of the garrisons. It should be +10 garrison units from vanilla. @Lycia Pintella

Hm. Dark elf towns as low as tier 2 are defended by a 20 stack without the garrison building. Any way for a nerf?

It's under the ai tables. I'd don't know off the top of my head, but what you would do is increase the build weight for the garrison buildings. I'm working on a fix for the tomb kings upkeep. There are a bunch of new buildings that were added for special garrisons that I didn't have in there before.

For the other mods, if they use the vanilla buildings then they will get the extra garrisons. If they use custom buildings then they will get the garrisons that the modder added.

It will work with the mods, unless they removed the vanilla garrisons.

I'll look into the dwarf thing. I think that might be from dwarf update a few months ago. I don't have all the DLCs so I must have missed it.

army_xp_factionwide was intended to be powerful so you would want to build garrisons. I'll look at reducing the effect some for balance. The upkeep was meant to balance out the xp gain.

some higher tier building have less garrison, like Dwarf engineer, seems tier 5 engineer have less garrison, while tier 3 engineer have more

Tried with T4 minor settlements, swapping load orders too, and it CTD so seems like there is a change in that mod which conflicts then. I'll just wait for update for when you got the time, and play with garrisons/walls for now :P Thanks for replies :)

The order should be based on the default. It's possible that some things have been changed with T4 minor settlements that have made this incompatible. Generally, I never mess with the load order of mods.

Also worth mentioning, I don't get CTD when only using this mod, so perhaps it's a conflict.

Ha ha no worries mate, thanks for replying regardless, and thanks for making siege battles fun, my favourite part of the game and it wasn't any good steamrolling every settlement I across or being unable to mount any reasonable defence ^^

Yeah, garrison wizards not having spells is something I've heard is possible, but I'm not sure I know how to implement that
in the little time I have for modding.

The garrison unit choices are currently based on the CA tables. I had previously tried to mod them so that way the better units would stick around, but that started causing issues a few months ago, forcing me I pulled that part out of the mod.

I do apologize as I seem to be giving this mod a workout. ^-^;;

I started a Vampire Coast game with Cylostra Direfin and took over several regions to make sure it wasn't just her starting position, but this mod does not seem to at least work with her correctly. There is no fee for the walls, the public order and other bonuses do not show up, almost none of the buildings provide garrison units, and even without walls the settlements along with the major cities tend to get well over 20 garrison units by tier two or so just with the normal garrison.

It makes defending their cities pretty easy, but at the same time due to them having so many garrison units they seem to get the weaker ones when you defend which is a shame. Seeing that your city has two mortars in it, but instead having it choose to give you the two bloated corpses is saddening. ^-^;;
