I have improved my editor skills a bit since I made this, so I might try to just remake the whole map at some point (with some improvements added), but right now, I'm working on a different project that I'd like to finish first.
I really am sorry. I've put a lot of effort into this map, and it makes me glad that people still want to try it out, but right now there's nothing I can do about it.

If anyone else would like to try, just go ahead. You have my permission.
In case someone succeeds, name the mod something like "Rift Race Recooked".
Keep the original mod description mostly intact (because it contains the story), but mention my name, if possible; and of course give yourself some credit for being able to recook it.
Even still, as long as I had the mod downloaded, I couldn't open any other maps in the editor, I wasn't able to successfully cook the mod, etc.
So maybe it is beyond saving at this point. :(
And in the meantime, I have another map/mod planned.
It will be quite unlike this one, but I hope I'll be able finish it one day.
I'm not even sure if it's possible, or how much after-fixing I would have to do, but it would definietly need some extra work.
I didn't use any imported elements in the map, but there's a chance I would have to do all the conversation trees from scrap.
Well, I might try doing this if I'll have the time. If anyone else knows of a better method though, I'm all ears.
And I'm really sorry about all the trouble. -.-
Unless there is a way to somehow get them back through this already uploaded version, I'm not sure what I could do.
I'm not sure if it would work online as it is right now, but feel free to give it a try.
Whenever something player related supposed to happen (like teleporting the player to the starting area of the race), I always used the "All Players" object in Kismet.
So how I imagine it should be working right now, is that when 1 person starts talking to Snatcher/starts the race, everyone should see that very same message/be teleported to the start at once. Well, someone getting a checkpoint might also set that same checkpoint for everyone, and I have no idea what one person dying would cause, but... oh well.
Maybe it won't work at all! This Mod was made before even Split-screen Co-op came out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It keep doing that "A Hat in Time has stopped working" thing. Athough I think now it was just my HiT and not anything to do with the mod. Just reinstalling everything now.
Nevertheless, could you try specifying a bit what causes the problem? Does the game crash or freeze on its own? Or is it something else?
I think I was able to fix the problem of Hard Mode and the "Anti Time Stop Hat during the race" only activating specifically for Keyboard Shift presses, but I do not have a controller for playing on PC to test it out.
Could someone verify it for me that it's working as intended? Thanks in advance.
All you have to do is stand in front of the Badge Seller BEFORE you start the race, and then activate your Time Stop hat.
Back then when I made the map I was still getting familiar with the editor, so it might only work if you use a Keyboard and activate the hat by pressing Shift.
Be prepared though, hard mode is... well... hard. :)
But here's hoping it will get you prepared for the upcoming Death Wish mode in the official DLC.
But now I have grey hair...
still, its a good level
Edit: I beat Hard Mode. It sure lived up to its name. If you're a little late, the mafia ball will wreck you in that tree.
Edit: Turns out I just had to push the arrow keys to activate keyboard controls & then push the left shift key specifically.
