Fantastic mod that sadly has finally broken by latest Funcom's patch, game crashes when trying to change obelisks' names. I encourage everyone to move to darcro's version, you can easily respawn lost obelisks with admin rights and rebuild your network.

The mod still works on my server. Of course it could break when Conan updates, but currently working fine. Sometimes you die... but it works mostly :D

Have to say, I'm still using the mod and have not noticed any problems in my game. I don't have the issue other's mentioned with the camera myself.

I have a network of 8 teleporters and jumped around it extensively, and several times yesterday and also, before the Halloween event started when it was the last time I played... and didn't had any troubles, personally.

In any case, best wishes for you @Voraga, and hope you can solve your DevKit issues eventually! You will be missed otherwise, your mods all rock! :)

:( I love this mod! I hope you are able to fix the issues preventing you from updating the DevKit (maybe seek help from other modders?) As of now, I built more than 5 obelisks linking my bases together. I can't stop using it now XD Cheers

Hey, man, you can set the value of the obelisks to use less corrupted stones in their manufacture, because demon blood is too bad to find.

A fairly simply workaround for the tilted camera: craft chairs (Aquilonian, simple, etc.) and place one next to each obelisk you placed. When you teleport to obelisks, simply sit on the chair and then stand up to restore the normal camera view.

Since the last update, the camera is frequently sideways whenever I teleport using these obelisks. The only work-around I've found after that happens is to use the admin teleport, which also resets the camera back to normal.

Sorry for asking, but how do I build the new obelisk? I don't seem to find it anywhere! I already built the vanilla map room and I can fast travel to vanilla obelisks, I simply don't find the mod's one to be built lol

Same here, great mod and working smooth, no problems and using 15 or so other mods.

The one thing I would sugest to make it a bit more lore friendly and more dificult is, to add coruption to the obelisks as with the big ones.

@Asmoday - Ty I'm hoping it fixed the names for everyone, they were flagged for saving I simply added the dirty flag to them when they get changed. With any luck it will also work for dedicated servers now.

After your last update mine kept it´s names upon restart fine and as intended - SP, many mods, this one quite low in load order...

@Voraga, the name saving bug, if it helps- started after the disaster 500 patch, and seems tied to something that would save 'player states'. You'd know better of course, what file you are saving those in. Somehow, that file either isn't getting saved on the server between restarts, or is getting reset on restarts. My guess is that it's a server restart mechanic you're looking for, that is affecting your file... LOVE your mod, so just trying to help :) Have our own small family server if you need one for testing.

So, my obelisks aren't keeping the names I put in. They all default back to 'unknown location'. Any idea why? I play solo, so I know that nobody else is changing them on me. heh.

@Wolke - the obelisks don't connect to the map table but to eachother. They allow transport in two directions so you don't have to walk home. Hope that helps clear it up, if you have more questions about the functionality of the mod please ask.

@Ixtab - yep. I never found the exact way they were linking the map room and since they didn't have actual names for those locations I'd have to re-invent the wheel as it were to link the two systems together.

@Voraga question, we have this mod on a server and after working great for about a week or so, some of the obelisks seem to crash the client when interacted with. We are wondering if it possible that they decayed and simply don't say so or know how to handle decaying. If there is any log file you might need to see if this is the case please let me know and I'll try to get it for you.

So, I recently started playing the game, and thought this mod would help a great deal. I do not see any option to craft the obelisks though, nor an option in the feats to learn it. I do have the mod activated, but it doesnt seem to be working at all. I am playing single player. Am I missing something, or do you need to do anything in game before being able to use the mod?

@Voraga, thank you for this mod. I love the lore you created behind it and the players on my server are having so much fun with it.
I always thought the travel system in Conan was good, but your mod took it to the next level :)

A bit of a Alpha ish release here, should fix the issue you were having @Xhead, if it works at all. UE4 Devkit and CE have been having runtime glitches on my PC. Things like randomly inverting colors, or inputs, and it only happens with these two applications. So I have no real was of testing this release. During compile is raised an error that one file was a reference null (the file that actually does the teleportation) but when I tested it in the devkit it worked fine. If I get bug reports about it not working I will have to bring the mod down and rebuild it from the backup. If that happens the description here will change to a link to the new mod location. Sorry for the inconvienance.

@Voraga there was a time where your mod was called "ExtendedCartographer", then after that there was an update where you changed to "ExpandedCartographer". After that update, the icon in your crafting menu and feats is simply an empty icon. When crafting the obelisk, you can see the icon in your crafting queue and also after it is crafted. Can you please take a look at this small issue? Anyway thanks for this great mod.

No options. Restricted to area of denial like other religious altars, use restrictions: must be a cartographer, to build must be a cartographer and have the perk. Mats are nothing too special, mostly end-ish game materials. See the balancing thread for more information on the cost of construction, as it changes. (Should also be in the patch notes)

And what are the restrictions? Level 55? What are the mats?

Been gone for 4 days, not sure whats going on, am checking the mod now and the devkit. As of right now though there hasn't been a update to the mod. So I'm looking to see if the game update broke something.

With what I observed before the patch Voraga, I'd look maybe at whatever they did to 'fix' the issues with chests/items disappearing on server restarts. If they fixed that issue, and yours seemed affected by the same issue (somehow, and not by itself; I had several mods in place, so combo probably did it,) gotta be a common thread in there. Hope all is well!

I play single player. And I too cannot interact with the obelisks. I can change the name. But I cannot use "E" or the interact on the wheel. I also verified the game files.

Hi, the mod doesn't work after the last big patch.
I removed the mod from the server list and the client, restarted the server and then reloaded the mod at the server and the client again.
I can rename the places, but not interact with the obelisks.

Voraga, it seems to be related to the server restarts. With all the other bugs around that, I am willing to bet there is a mechanism that saves player caused 'states' of objects, and THAT mechanism is resetting upon server restarts - chests, obelisks, etc...
