Hey, I haven't been able to make any of your civs work.
Sar Meister 21. juni 2020 kl. 6:41
So it's giving me problems, for some reason 3 of the adventure time civs aren't showing up in my mods. Any way to fix that?

This one is my favorite. It seems very fitting for The Ice King. I hope you plan to update the rest of these for BNW!

"UB: Fan Fiction Workshop: Replaces the Colosseum. Generates half the Happiness, but it produces +2 Culture (doubled after discovering the Printing Press)."
doubled after discovering the Printing Press
Oh god why.

Will you consider putting all your Adventure Time themed mods together and creating a mod pack for easier use?
Song Bird  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2013 kl. 20:35
@Onen: Modding for Civ 5 is very easy and doesn't require any programming knowledge. Here is a link to a civ 5 modding thread where you can download an in depth guide to modding Civ 5: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=385009 . It's the guide I used to learn civ modding. It is a little out of date, but it's still the best place to start. After looking over the guide the best thing to do is to pick apart a custom civ from the workshop and use it as a template/guide for making your own.You can download Civ 5's modding tools directly from Steam and I recommend downloading Paint.net for making art assets because it can save files as a dds. If you have any modding questions don't be afraid send me a message.

Hey man, I was wondering, do you have any idea where I might find tutorials or something for making a custom civ? I really want to try my hand at it but can't seem to find a guide anywhere

UA- Lumpy Hover - non-mounted land units move like scouts
UU- Lump-Man - sword or musket man replacement, giving defeated units the lumps at a % chance to convert to Lumpy Kingdom
UB - Lumpy Space School - replaces public school. replaces the +3 sci with +5 culture and add +1-2 Happiness
Felony Gamer 26. apr. 2013 kl. 14:48
Heres some suggestions aswell,

-UA- The Lumps: After defeating an enemy inside or within the range of 4 tiles of your city, has a chance to become your unit.

-UA- Wheres My Ring!?: When allied with city states, gets double amount of luxary resources.

-UA- Floatation: The Lumpy Space People can easily float, allowing them to move over mountains.

-UB- Makeout Point: Gives 5 Faith, and 3 Culture.

-UB- Lumpy Space School: 4 Happiness, and 2 Culture.

-UU- Lumpy Space Messenger: Replaces scout, can move 1 extra tile.

-UU- Lumpy Space Prince: Replaces great general, while still alive, gives off 5 extra culture.

What I'd aim for is Lumpy Space Kingdom to be a culture-based play, and the A.I should be arrogant, asking for free luxary resources, and quick to denounce people.

laura craft 23. apr. 2013 kl. 17:26
I love how you make the leaders' personalities fit exactly with the character in the show.
And another civ could be one for the gender-swapped characters; I know they're immensly popular among the fanbase.
shasb4 22. apr. 2013 kl. 14:35
For the Lumpy Space Kingdom:

UA: Lumpificaion. After attacking or defending an enemy unit has a 15% chance of being converted to the LSK, you know, like, werewolf rules.

UU: Lump Patrol. Unit replaces something like the lancer, increased gold cost to maintain but gain culture.

UB: High School Gym. build after public school. gives a boost to science and happiness, increases the amount of production it takes to build units, because everyone is at the dance.

just suggestions, take em or leave em. I do love the idea of an adventure time civ game. please make as mane civs as possible. i'm holding out for a nightosphere civ!!!
Trader Yohan 22. apr. 2013 kl. 13:40
I think this is an awesome idea!
Makedonsky17 22. apr. 2013 kl. 10:18
Заглавная картинка(как и идея) доставили:)
Song Bird  [ophavsmand] 21. apr. 2013 kl. 14:36
@Rusty: Thanks for the suggestions. Lumpy Space is the most likely to get a civ though I'm struggling to come up ideas for it. If anyone has any ideas for a Lumpy Space civ, particularly unique buildings/units, please drop a comment.
Felony Gamer 21. apr. 2013 kl. 11:43
Heres a list of suggestions of what you can add in as other Civilizations or City States. : LSP's Kingdom, Goblin Kingdom, Cube People, House People, Rump People, Gnome Kingdom, Crystal People, Hot Dog Kingdom, Rainacorn People, Ghost Kingdom, Mushroom People.
Lotus Crane 19. apr. 2013 kl. 22:30
Actually, if you really read into the deep backstory that they've been slowly revealing, especially in the most recent episodes, there is some dark, twisted, and tragic stuff going on. o_O Adventure Time should really be called Postapocalytpic Dreamscape Time.
Vile Calumnies 19. apr. 2013 kl. 9:47
@☭∮©¥« Ever sat down and watched Adventure Time? Yeah it's kid oriented, but its full of humour that appeals to geek culture and has a lot of underlying themes that probably only adults would notice. It's a cute show and pretty entertaining.
Androu 19. apr. 2013 kl. 9:05
Lol, awesome.
Valmord 18. apr. 2013 kl. 8:50
This could work
Worry 18. apr. 2013 kl. 2:03
good very good idea
Song Bird  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2013 kl. 19:41
@Lotus: Yield is the same as ocean and naval and embarked units can move through ice like submarines. I've only got combat units working right now though.
Annabelle Siles 17. apr. 2013 kl. 2:27
@The Man with the Eyebrows
never quoted someone, hope it works. Yes I love Bioshock! And oh gosh, you should rewatch Samurai Jack even if you didn't make a mod for it, because it is a good show!
If I had any idea how to program I'd personally have Aku have a UU that was himself, replacing the death robot since that's like the end all melee unit, and then just make him only able to have one of himself, and make it ridiculously expensive and ridiculously strong.

Oh, btw, King Bradley is my favorite mod so far. I think the game knows it because every time I select random civ's no matter how many or how little civ's there are for random, he is ALWAYS one of my opponents, without fail. And I always enjoy seeing his devious face.
Lotus Crane 17. apr. 2013 kl. 1:32
Uh, when you say "treat ice like ocean," do you mean just the resource yield (1 food, 1 gold), or do you mean that land units have to embark to move through ice, and that Ice King's naval units can move right through it? Just making sure. :3
Song Bird  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2013 kl. 11:34
@Luna & Toheck: Thank you both for the support and thank you Luna for the suggestion. I must admit though that I have not seen Samurai Jack since I was a lad, so I'd have to go back and rewatch the series which would be just a little too time time consuming.

Hopefully though you two are fans of the Bioshock series. I'll be releasing a pair of civs for Columbia and Rapture at the end of the week.
Toheck 14. apr. 2013 kl. 11:42
I like your civs, they're fun to play with. I want to second the Aku idea.
Annabelle Siles 14. apr. 2013 kl. 3:18
I enjoy your mods frequently and find them very fun. I am wondering what others you'll come out with! I think it would be really cool if you thought up a good one for Aku from Samurai Jack!
Song Bird  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2013 kl. 20:28
@Lotus: I'm a little biased since I usually go Patronage. I'll drop the combat bonus because it feels tacked on and reduce the degradation to 50% from 66% and wait for player feedback on how balanced city state diplomacy is. I've a complete overhaul planned for the trait which will tie it more to building in arctic terrain, but it will take a while to come out with that update since modifying snow yields can be troublesome and it would involve creating unique improvements.

I'd love feedback on the Fire Kingdom if you don't mind. I've always found FP to be severely underpowered due to her traits penalties, always coming in last in playtests, but I've got a bloke reporting that she is consistently winning games. I'd love a third opinion on the matter.
Lotus Crane 13. apr. 2013 kl. 17:45
Hrm, Ice Kingdom seems significantly weaker than Candy Kingom. The UA drawback is 1) too similar to Lemongrab's, 2) while it may be possible for a dedicated player to overcome the triple degradation and maintain friendly relationships with city-states, doing so will almost certainly cost players more than the additional culture/faith/food they'd get. I know that thematically, you want Curse of the Ice Crown to have some sort of penalty that reflects Simon's insanity and memory loss, but with triple degradation vs only double bonuses, I feel that many players will simply not bother. Maybe if it was double degradation vs double bonuses, or triple degradation vs triple bonuses, it'd be okay. I also find it a bit odd that Ice Kingdom doesn't have any tile bonuses from snow or tundra, as opposed to say, Fire Kingdom and desert tiles. Maybe +1 production from tundra, +1 gold and +1 science from snow, with the ability to build tile improvements on snow?
