As a hoarder: I think i came in my pants at seeing this mod

This was an awesome idea and I really like how it works

As someone with a neurotic need to collect and sell everything of value I come across this mod saves my sanity. I found myself going back to a dungeon 2 or 3 times just to get all the things I felt were valuable enough to sell. Strictly speaking I suppose this is game breaking since having carry weight means deciding what is important to carry but for me is vastly improves my enjoyment of gameplay. I also love the convenience of having this "chest" in spell form. I have seen other mods that allow you to drop and pick up a chest of sorts but that extra step just feels like a hassle. Cheers!:steamhappy:

Very very useful.

A very useful mod an well placed thanks

I have to admit, I've always loved this mod, along with general stores. Unfortunately, my game recently wouldn't load with my nexus mods for some reason, so I've got to delete the majority of those and use the ones here.
MuserGaming 4. aug. 2013 kl. 12:57
love this mod thank you
SpacecaseJLP 7. juli 2013 kl. 15:03
I think this would be even better if the hole actually linked to a stationary chest so if there is a a problem with the mod and you are forced to temporarily uninstall and reinstall it. The items would still be there.
Elbows 10. maj 2013 kl. 13:17
The name reminds me of a Loiter Squad sketch.
Leomoren99 11. mar. 2013 kl. 14:34
im really starting to get excited about all the dnd mods for skyrim 1st the bad of holding now this i wish some one would add some races and armor
Sgt_Undead_X 24. feb. 2013 kl. 19:34
Freaking awesome mod dude> Cant go wrong with a good designed 'old-school' magical item = : ) Works really well with 'a spell to open a magical chest . It wld really be nice if you could make them multiple like 'Portable Hole A' , 'portable Hole B' , "C" etc.etc. , that way we could get em all our portable containers from the same source .
EMChartreuse 6. dec. 2012 kl. 13:39
I really love this mod, I keep all my books in the hole. I talk about your mod on a review video I did recently, check it out.

I just dropped the other other mods that do about the same as this one becuse any old
and crusty fan of AD&D (such as myself) would rather have a portable hole then all the
other stuff.
RomanarmoR 14. sep. 2012 kl. 12:10
i dont undesrtand what this mod does? its just a static backpack?
homasho 27. juli 2012 kl. 13:29
I do not know, how I could play before having the portable hole. As an ardent collector of all things, the hole is a must. Thanks for this marvellous (cheat) tool. But I do empty the hole on a more or less regular basis in my Waldheim (a German mod) personal home near Riverwood.

Must Have Mod!
SuperD 4. apr. 2012 kl. 18:39
tried it and used it once, but as it is you should put the cheat tag on it too. At novice level and with no capacity limit its very cheatish.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2012 kl. 15:44
@DerElder Thanks for the information, and I realize now I told you to use ModAV instead of SetAV, which would be why no adjustment was made. Sorry about that. Try "Player.SetAV carryweight 0" if you haven't already.
DerEider 3. apr. 2012 kl. 14:00
@NiSiSuinegEht, "player.modav carryweight 0" didn't work. But I did solve the problem; at least mostly. As D's been adventuring along he met interesting folks and checked out their holdings [showinventory]. Sometimes he'd see something nice and "additem" it to find out what it was [stats]. Every now and then nothing would show up [usually a weapon]. Of particular interest was a group called "Tornberry's ...." [knives, bows, arrows, etc.].
By now D's over-weight had reached over 5400 jarls. Finally, I set D on 3rd person and ran "showinventory". He had over 150 items and he was down to nothing in inventory. There were however several hundred invisible Tornberry, Sapphire and other goodies that, when "removeitem"ed, cut D down to just 89 jarls "tare" weight. There are a bunch of "bad edit" lines and a few unnamed RefID codes left I am reluctant to remove, but D can handle 89 j's.
Thanks again for your help.
DerEider 3. apr. 2012 kl. 0:16
@NiSiSuinegEht, thanks for your valuable thoughts. I'll try that command as soon as I am done with D's major Foresworn booty smithing upgrades. He's loaded down with ~ 10,000 jarls of crafting/enchanting supplies at the Vlindrel Hall workbench. You my fav.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2012 kl. 8:15
@DerElder The Portable Hole spell really just activates a remote container when cast, and items stored in it should have absolutely no effect of player carried weight.

I have, just now, emptied everything my player was carrying, excepting quest items, into a chest, while still having well over 10,000 "jarls" of loot in my portable hole. Quest items do appear to be weightless while flagged as quest items, as my current player burden is 0/300.

I cannot duplicate your problem, but I do know, from experience in Oblivion and Fallout 3, that if you have an item affecting carry weight that is provided by a mod, and disable the mod while that item is still equipped, it can add phantom weight to the inventory

You might try emptying your inventory and using the console command "player.modav carryweight 0" to reset your empty weight to 0.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2012 kl. 8:00
@stayin I cannot find any built in sort functions for forms/containers within the Papyrus code, and any kind of selectable sorting would require a UI mod. I might have inspiration at some point to create, from scratch, an automatic alpha-numeric sort, but currently have no idea how I would do that.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 31. mar. 2012 kl. 8:00
Thanks for the responses, I'm glad so many enjoy this mod. As for the problem experienced, I wish I could be of more help.

@Rogstin I have no idea why Whiterun in particular would be affected, I have not modified that worldspace at all. The basement room of Helgen Keep is the only place I have added objects to the world.
DerEider 31. mar. 2012 kl. 0:49
@NiSiSuinegEht, have had your PH for a while and it works great. MAY have run into a glitch. I'm having problems with D's weight. When using PH, D's wgt seems to drop correctly. But over time D's wgt has creaped up. Can PH be bleeding weight back to Dovahkiin? I keep cutting back on goodies lugged around to the point where D's weapons & armour don't seem enough. I've jacked up D's carry weight to ~ 3000 jarls just to survive & carry a bit of loot back. Put everything into an empty end table to check TARE wgt. Carry weight still shows 2479 jarls! Only D's loin cloth & 5 quest items with indicated weight of 2 jarls were left. Is the mod somehow transferring the weight cuts to Dovahkiin? Is there a DIVINE CONSOLE COMMAND to reduce Dovahkiin's TARE weight to zero? I tried using "player.modav burden -2479" but the console would not accept that? S'pose I could jack the CarryWeight up 2479 jarls, but that would feel like cheating.
Fipsens 30. mar. 2012 kl. 12:49
This mod is essential!
A must-have mod simply.
If I could add a little tiny wish, it would to have some kind of sorting of the items in the hole, like in the inventory. Just don't know if it conflicts with the whole idea of having all your stuff thrown into at great big hole...
Rogstin 24. mar. 2012 kl. 12:36
It's really awesome, but it seems to introduce some kind of instability for me. Nothing with the bound sword, just a seemingly random crash to desktop. Usually in the world area or entering or in Whiterun. It is either random or after the loading of entering a door (usually into Whiterun, though I haven't spent much time anywhere else). So far it seems to be this mod as I have disabled others and still crash, but now without this one active, I seem to do just fine which is rather sad because it is so useful!
DerEider 23. mar. 2012 kl. 6:38
This is a GREAT mod. Found just where you described. Bought an extra from Farengar. Works just as you described. Judging from many of the comments there are a whole bunch of absolute dolts trying to cheat their way through TESV. Keep up the good work, NiSiSuinegEht [brilliant handle].
baubajuice 15. mar. 2012 kl. 0:55
Thanks.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2012 kl. 21:59
I have not encountered any crashing with "Bound Sword" while using this mod, and would not expect to, since no existing spells or scripts are modified.
baubajuice 11. mar. 2012 kl. 0:57
I may have a problem if you could help. Ever since I started using portable hole, trying to use the bound sword spell crashes the game. I uninstalled it but it still happens. Help please?
homasho 10. mar. 2012 kl. 13:26
Great spell. Thanks a lot. Now Lydia can concentrate on helping me instead of carrying my surplus stuff :)
Rynjin 5. mar. 2012 kl. 0:14
@NiSiSuinegEht Thanks a lot for that change. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw that in Farengar's spell list while I was browsing around. Have had a chance to use it now, and must say it is a VERY useful spell for pure Mages. I'm the sort that likes to pick up absolutely EVERYTHING, so having a transdimensional hidey hole to put everything in is great (and is something I never understood about summoning in this series, which is the absence of summoned containers like this).

earlfisher 4. mar. 2012 kl. 23:26
ROFL@ Runswith skizzers. Brings back memories of D&D 2nd ed. from the 1980's! Before there were computers which could run anything resembling actual grapics packages. DL'ing now for nostogia's sake if nothing more.
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 4. mar. 2012 kl. 15:38
@bigrichard3579 Thanks for the idea, it is now added to the low level spell tome list for merchants and loot.
Josephcoyne 4. mar. 2012 kl. 3:42
Dude please put copies in a Jarls hall or something, my game crashes when i try to enter Helgen keep! :)pleaseeeeee
NiSiSuinegEht  [ophavsmand] 3. mar. 2012 kl. 21:45
@Rynjin Unless you are using a mod that changes Helgen itself, the tome will still be there.
Rynjin 3. mar. 2012 kl. 21:42
@ThaEpicDuck: I'm using the "Alternate Start" mod too, so I don't start in Helgen. Would make it dificult to get without console commands, yeah?
SamSquanch 3. mar. 2012 kl. 13:36
Great spell.
svrdeathmatch 3. mar. 2012 kl. 13:30
would it still be there after you've escaped Helgen?
Overlord Ducky 2. mar. 2012 kl. 12:53
Are people asking for the console command? It's literaly like 5 bandits there and nothing more.If you can't beat that then you don't deserve this spell.
pierre.lamoureux.qc 2. mar. 2012 kl. 11:31
player.additem 0d000d66 1
Tiamat Blaze 2. mar. 2012 kl. 11:20
...and they don't list it because it's not always the same code.
Tiamat Blaze 2. mar. 2012 kl. 11:19
~slaps the people asking for the console code~ Lazy bums! Just go to Helgen and pick it up!
For those of you still too lazy to just fast travel there... the command is as follows
help "portable hole" 4
If you type it exactely like that it'll work. Something is wrong with your console if it doesn't.
resdog 2. mar. 2012 kl. 11:07
I don't know why the creators of these spells dont just list the object id #'s in the descriptions. :( In any event, the object id # to this particular spelltome is: 01000D66
Prudii 2. mar. 2012 kl. 9:29
Ok so the help Portable Hole 4 thing dosent work. Can someone just tell us the code?
NeoAcario 2. mar. 2012 kl. 0:15
Would be great if there were a way to link this to an actual container.... say one of our own choosing. Perhaps I want to link a porta-hole to a loot chest in my house? Be it a house in the vanilla game or a mod. Cast it on a chest to link it... cast it on anything or nothing else to open it.... could it be done? Interested in making such a change?
Mee 1. mar. 2012 kl. 19:23
so no one knows the item ID so that we can simply add it to our inventories?
Beejezus 1. mar. 2012 kl. 18:37
This is a freaking D&D reference... God... Kids these days.
thudtastic 1. mar. 2012 kl. 14:36
Or actually a Dungeon&Dragons reference :) Nice mod. Thanks!
glen_schreiber 1. mar. 2012 kl. 14:02
can you make one that is like a door instead? would be awesome to have a portable home.
