I think the colony needs to become independent and take a certain event before the French colonial cultures can spawn. There is a 90% chance they will go French and 10 % they'll go creole from said event.

why do a lot of the French colonial cultures just become Creoles? Esp in Louisiana/Argentina. Feel like those should be French cultures not creoles

Hello. I just redownloaded this mod and tried playing it, but when i launch the game it crashes and i checked if it was the mod or not and it seemed to be, any idea what might cause this?

Any chance to make it work with subjects expanded dominions? Also can personal unions with enforced culture have the event fire if they have accepted culture? Hungary in pu with byzantium an greek culture over 20 years and nothing has changed because ai. Something like has same culture modifier -10 accepted culture possible?

Cultural Influence is now updated for BT 15.0 With a huge new change adding dummy decisions to show regions for every culture you can expand with CI mechanics, hopefully fixing some of issues with the mod being frankly byzantine at times

Any chance the Iberians will get some love in a future update? It'd be nice to see some variety in the Iberan colonial cultures like Brazilian and Rioplatense in South America, and be able to bring Portuguese culture to Africa and Asia like Portugal did in real life.

I think Inglish rn is just overarching for the northern dialects that aren't scottish (there's a wikipedia article "English language in Northern England").

I'm curious as to why it's Inglish and not Northumbrian as the Northern dialect was and still to an extent is Northumbrian, it deviated in Yorkshire when the Vikings came hence more a scandinavian influence in those areas whereas in the North East above the river tees it didn't really deviate. Likewise Scots language is also derrived from Northumbrian so I'm curious if Scots is in the North East if that could be changed to Inglish if not Northumbrian

I plan to get the new update released before Christmas, progress has been steady and I just have to clean up Celtic, British and German itself for the new overhauls. There won't be any new cultural spread in this version but I'll work on that after the new year. As a note it won't be on this specific page but rather the Github mirror one.

@kingkaan Inglish represents the northern dialects of middle english, around the time of the printing press it will merge into the southern dialects (Unless a northern England exists or Scotland forms GB in which case the northern dialects will dominate)

Theme system problem is quite common. It's because the req. is to conquer all of anatolia and Trebizon, but Trebizon sometimes leaves the Anatolia.

The theme system is from Byzantine Resurgence, if you have another mod that modifies government reforms, such as Governments expanded, you need a compatch. Though any GE compatches are currently outdated, which can break stuff such as the theme system not appearing. CI itself should work fine with BR because it already has a dependency set up to fix the load order.

@Dig Boss I have no idea why you can't take the Theme System, the only requirements are to be in the Byzantine group or be Roman culture, but you don't have to assimilate the Turks, you can also settle the land with new Greek populations or use commands to force complete the Anatolian Reclamation mission.

Hello, I am currently enjoying a game of Byzantium but I am having a problem with the Anatolian restoration. Basically I can't do the theme system for some reason, so I can't do the assimilation decisions or anything. Is this a known bug or is there any way I can fix it?

@C1CK I was playing with the events disabled actually, which may have caused this. If that's the case it's on me. It makes the game extremly slow for some reason so I don't use it.

Just take the french approch and have the Creol languages be part of their own (similarly colored) language group

@Beneficarum The Dutch & Flemish areas do not have their own separate language group, the only events specifically for Dutch is the standardization that fires if Netherlands is formed and changes Low Franconian into Dutch. I agree it makes sense for Dutch to get their own unique colonial stuff, but the splintering of Dutch off into it's own group would be rather messy mechanically and a tad arbitrary.

Hi, I am sorry if this information is provided somewhere but I wanted to know whether Dutch/Flemish region has a language event that differentiates the region's language from the rest of the Northern Germanic language group? It would only make sense as the Dutch is the only Germanic culture that has the potential to become a colonial power and have colonial language splinters and creoles within itself.

@TheLandTraveller, I can't seem to replicate the issue here, Once you form Qing and become a settled state all nomadic provinces that share your culture group will become regular settled provinces, and lose their nomadic modifiers. Unless you have manually changed primary culture you shouldn't have much nomadic land besides some mongol stuff.

Once you form Qing as Manchu it changes your nomad government into a regular state which makes all the original Manchu provinces stuck in 100% percent autonomy, making them useless and reduces your manpower / income to extremely low levels (especially if you switch right after taking Beijing which is what I did)

Needless to say this ruined my playthrough.

Was wonding if it should be changed that Assyrian cultures will spread if they're an accepted culture by a christain nation, not just if they are the primary culture
