Modtools, I remember Subbie had a method where he could import Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory maps into the UE4 SDK, have you any idea how he managed this? It was probably the .map file he was loading.

Interesting proof of concept!! The Tiger is a bit wonky, but I like your Convoy concept, although I think it would be better as a prop rather than the focus, or we'd have what's essentially an "Engie Only" gamemode

will it be realistic as in breaking down every so often? and what's wrong with sherman vs tiger scenario? the 5 to 1 ratio was falsehood. Britsh Shermans [especially the firefly] had no trouble engaging tigers when they came across them. American units as I understand it never faced tigers in normandy but have in italy and north africa.

1) this will get a part of an convoy mode and / or random objectives mode
2) the armor penetration should be realistic for man against tigertank szenario
3) it will not be playercontrolled (even if this is possible) more like a computer player (friendly bot / enemy bot)
4) there will be no sherman against tiger szenario :P

and always think: ILLUSION is all you need in gamedevelopment

There's an addon for GMod (which has the source engine) called simfphys and it has a fully functional Tiger tank suspension.
Maybe the creator and you can get something out for this game.

Well I got the shooting part working in csgo , not sure about the whole thing being parented to a moving object though and if it would work in doi.

@Fwusha: that was my first idea but some entities dont love it to be parented.
physbox need to get moved as example using an func_push or using a func_tracktrain with path_tracks then you can use a trigger_multiple as hitdetector and respawn the entity via an point_template. but... the rotation and the simultaneous moving of the basetiger breaks the parenting of all mentioned things above in multiplayer-> last solution using env_laser

the bots still wont spawn. You can hear them say the briefing at the start, but they dont appear.
I tried to use doi_bot_add but it said navmesh not loaded. doing nav_generate spits No valid walkable seed position and nav_load says load failed.

You have to launch this map in "practice" mod from the main menu. choose offensive gamemode.
OR, if there is not bots type "doi_bot_quota 8".
The tank is included with maps, no more command.

ok, im kind of new to using mods. how exactly do i check this out, just go into a game with bots, pull down the console and type "doi_bot_quota 8"?? i dont have to be on certain map or anything? im confused does it just spawn a tank or does it take me to a new map, like the one in the picture "tech demo"... ya ya any way, if any one could tell me EXACTLY how to check this out please and thank you
