funny how people would prefer to not have gore entirely than to install one mod to help you be able to see while slashing through hordes of infected, like I love gore, but I also really love having eyes while swinging a melee weapon, yk?

Rather this than downgrade my game to -Iv and keep all the other cool gore in the game.

-lv is so much better than this

I'm fine with a game being unrealistic but when it decides to do it by filling your screen with blood and dirt it just makes me facepalm.. it's pointless...

@Kloule it doesn't make the game feel like you're actually fighting it makes the game unrealistic and retarded. If blood was to actually get in your eyes you'd be temporarily blind. You wouldn't just see the blood hovering 2 inches in front of you.. If you want a realistic fight make it so you go completely blind when blood gets on the screen.

Add -lv to the launch options

Ummmmm.... I tried -lv in console. Did not work. It said " unknown command ". I also set gore to Low in the options. Did NOT remove the blood on the screen either.

Hey, I'm looking for a mod that will remove the bloody splatters AND blood that gets on the walls and floors without removing the dismemberment/gore.
I know this is a weird request, but if anyone decides to make it (or can show me where I can get a mod like this) I will be eternally grateful :)

People you do realize if you turn off gore the blood stops splattering on your screen. And why would you want to get rid of them? They make the game feel like were actually fighting.

Honestly for some reason ragdolls dissapear no matter what I do, so -lv is good for me.

And it makes your game run much better.

L4D2 Launch Options:
-lv Enables some low violence options in Left 4 Dead.

However, this also causes ragdolls to disappear so I created the mod.

in a game for fun, I do not see any problem in using it, is more easy to see the zombies but i no see problem, now in a competitive match i no like this.

It's not really so much as a "cheat", but rather just removing a visual effect, in my opinion.

I mean, yes, the blood does hinder your vision a bit... and "a bit" might even be over exaggerating since it doesn't really cover to the extent that it would make you lose track of your surroundings, and you can easily see past whatever blood there is on the screen.

I like the blood myself though because it adds to the experience. Just wanted to give my two cents.

Also I doubt 70% of players use mathacks so lets not say that.

Excuses has nothing to do with cheating. If I called lerp cheating then you would have to come up with excuses to defend that but it isn't cheating.

According to your logic everyone should play with MatHacks, because lets say 70% of players already do that.
If you have to make up an excuses for some addon or some settings or some software or any script then you cheat.
Its a matter of conscience, to play with bare eyes and bare hands.

umm.. i dont think its cheating :P assuming this mod is too the public, its your choice to get it. if you dont want it thats your fault. i myself am not gonna get it becouse i live blood on the screen.

Cheating is bad because it gives you an unfair advantage over other players. Germans get a unfair advantage over other, non-germans players because they don't have blood on their screen. However, if the other players had the mod it would actually be fairer than before as both wouldn't have blood on their screen. How can a cheat make the game fairer? I think your just a high hr, over-competative player and it wouldn't surprise me if you were a confogler as well.

Yes, its cheating. With exception for German version because players in Germany are forced to play like that.
btw, what next addon will you create? Remove smoke cloud? Clear screen from Boomer's bile? Clear screen from dirt splats? Or maybe make sniper scope without black borders?
Cheaters killing L4D2 as they kill any other game.

So adding -lv to your launch options or playing the censored German version of the game is also cheating? Because this is one of the effects. Lol I was ready for a comment like this, it was a bit overdue tbh.
