@jss1138: You've likely surpassed the shadow-caster limit for the cell. I'm guessing from the context of your message you've tried to reduce this. Since I maxxed the shadow casters, adding even a single additional one will cause this "lights flicking on/off" bug. If you're experiencing this it's likely caused by one of the following: (1) a light source on your person (torch, mage light, etc.), (2) a mod which converts a light source (or sources) to shadow casters that aren't normally shadow casters.

I will say, I have not touched this mod in some time, but have recently begun prepping my machine to assess the mod's relevance in today's modding scene and (if it makes sense) tweak it to better work with recent developments/updates. With that said, it should still work just fine given users pay careful attention to the above limitations.

Tried this, but the Breezehome issue doesn't seem to be actually solved yet. The fire pit goes off and on depending on which way I face.

@Sovereign lol, thanks! Likewise! :B1:

I'm not exactly sure why but after unsubscribing
from this mod, my game no longer CTDs...

Before, upon loading a save (this would happen
more frequently from within an interior cell), my
game would CTD. I'd have to load from a much
earlier save (I'd have more success loading saves
made within exterior cells)and then I'd load my most
recent save. That was the only way to get back to playing.

It was totally random that I decided to get rid of this one but it
seems to have cured things. I've had zero CTDs since.

I don't seem to have any mod that conflicts, except there's
something active in my mod list called "breezehomelightfix"?

It could be anything but I just thought I'd mention this
in case anyone else experiences crashing. :smile_eol:

@SSJSSFJ: My pleasure! I'm glad you were able to identify the issue!
SSJSSFJ 29 Jan 2021 @ 10:12pm
Thank you for the response. After further testing the kitchen fire existing/not existing is probably a Dawnguard bug and not related to your mod.
Sovereign  [pembuat] 26 Jan 2021 @ 3:17pm
@SSJSSFJ: This mod would only cause flickering lights if you're carrying a light source (or brought a lit light source into your home). It's a limitation of the engine.

Most areas in the game do not max out the shadow-casting light sources in each area, my mod, however, does (in order to enhance the visuals). Unfortunately, this means if you bring a shadow casting light into the area, it'll go over the maximum allowed light sources in the zone and randomly shut off a light to compensate. This results in the flickering you're seeing. If you remove any light sources that you brought into the home, it should fix the issue.

I have had problems with this mod, some lights flicker into and out of existence depending where I stand. Completely beautiful and I wish it worked since Im usually based out of whiterun, but I dont want to get rid of everything else.
Pokyzard 3 Mei 2020 @ 11:11pm
Is this mod compatible with the Realvision ENB mod?
Vodkavsky 1 Mar 2020 @ 9:45am
Great mod, still works and doesnt seem to break
ElderGamer1 27 Feb 2020 @ 1:15pm
Your Mod should really help me! Can't wait to see it in action Thanks so much!
Sovereign  [pembuat] 20 Jul 2019 @ 10:44am
@Lonnykid: Thank you so much for the kind words! It makes me so happy to hear how much people enjoy it. :steamhappy:
Lonnykid 19 Jul 2019 @ 3:54am
This mod is unbelievably beautiful, well done
Sovereign  [pembuat] 27 Jan 2019 @ 10:33pm
@Chibs, as far as I know RTX compatibility is entirely dependent on the engine. This mod is entirely dependent upon the game engine, so when that supports RTX this mod will too. :steamhappy:
Chibs 27 Jan 2019 @ 8:38am
any planos on going RTX compatible? :steamsalty:
Sovereign  [pembuat] 18 Jan 2019 @ 11:16pm
@Pancake Scrub, I haven't test it, but it is safe to experiment with. I would suggest you try it out, see how it behaves. I, and others, would love to hear your results.

But, as a general rule, if Skyrim Weather Beautification modifies the lights of the game, it may very well conflict with my mod and create odd lighting behavior only in the areas I modified (listed above). This can be fixed by uninstalling either my mod or the mod that's conflicting with mine.
Kaldarian 16 Jan 2019 @ 4:41pm
Is Skyrim Weather Beautification compatible with this?
Sovereign  [pembuat] 23 Nov 2018 @ 4:58am
@Arby No judgement! Glad you got it all figured out! :D:
Arby156 23 Nov 2018 @ 4:32am
yeah so turns out im an idiot and forgot that i turned the brightness all the way down... feel free to judge
Sovereign  [pembuat] 23 Nov 2018 @ 4:25am
@CaioCC Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

@Arby, my mod doesn't darken the lighting, if you followed the instructions above, you may have installed another mod (not by me) I listed/recommended in the description that decreases the ambient light. You'll need to uninstall whatever mod you installed that affects the global lights to fix your issue. The fact you uninstalled my mod and it didn't revert everything should be a clue that this mod did not make the changes you're seeing. Every change I make to the world in my mod is reversible with an uninstall.
CaioCC 4 Nov 2018 @ 8:24am
Really improves light quality
Arby156 4 Nov 2018 @ 1:06am
i installed this mod and then i uninstalled the mod because everything is too damn dark. even though i uninstalled it still messes with my lighting.
Psycho Killer 5 Jun 2018 @ 10:55pm
No he didn't
METALCLONE 21 Mar 2018 @ 9:09am
hahahahaha its so funny how he tells you go to into the game and test that caves are dark even though youre the creator hahahahahahahahahha
Sovereign  [pembuat] 20 Mar 2018 @ 12:07am
@Panicinthefarm: I'm afraid you cannot make such a guarantee. I use my mod every time I play. You're seeing the effects of another mod, or at best strange interaction between my mod and another that modifies lights (which I do not support). My mod only alters lighting in a few small interior homes in the cities (see the list above). I have made no alterations to any other lights or global values whatsoever.
SASRedemption 19 Mar 2018 @ 9:17pm
play the game and go into caves, I will guarantee you that you will not be able to see a thing in caves with your mod (Thats why I had to turn the brightness all the way up)
Sovereign  [pembuat] 19 Mar 2018 @ 9:01pm
@Registered VAC Offender & @Panicinthefarm: Please read the details of my mod. It does not reduce brightness in the game. It affects a small number of areas and actually increases the brightness.
SASRedemption 18 Mar 2018 @ 7:42pm
terrible tbh, you have to turn brightness all the way up in caves, sorry to say man i had to unsubscribe ): :steamsad:
METALCLONE 31 Jan 2018 @ 4:22am
caves are way too dark for me
Sovereign  [pembuat] 14 Nov 2017 @ 10:16pm
@AsProHunter: Yeah, sadly there's no way around it. :(
AsProHunter 12 Nov 2017 @ 5:41pm
too bad :(
Sovereign  [pembuat] 12 Nov 2017 @ 4:20pm
If Realistic Lighting Overhaul modifies/adds/removes lights from the affected areas in my mod (see areas listed above in the description), then yes, it will cause conflicts and visual bugs.
AsProHunter 11 Nov 2017 @ 7:51am
lunched with rlo+get bugs evrey where
DumbassofDojima 19 Sep 2017 @ 2:45am
Does this work with Realistic Lighting Overhaul?
Sovereign  [pembuat] 5 Sep 2017 @ 1:18am
@Mister Nohbody: I'm not familiar with that mod. Try it out and let me know! If "Relighting Skyrim" doesn't modify the interior lights of the areas I modified, then yes, it should. If it doesn't, then no, it will conflict and give buggy results.
GRUBBLY 3 Sep 2017 @ 6:04pm
Would whit work with grayscruffy's "Relighting Skyrim" mod?
QuirkyQ 2 Sep 2017 @ 2:30pm
i do its great i love it it just makes sitin by the fire much more enjoyable
Sovereign  [pembuat] 2 Sep 2017 @ 12:40pm
@meader.michael: No problem! I hope you enjoy the mod! :steamhappy:
QuirkyQ 31 Agu 2017 @ 5:55pm
ok thanks for this
Sovereign  [pembuat] 31 Agu 2017 @ 1:05am
@Retrograde: I've never once experienced a crash related to my mod, nor have I heard of any crashes reported. The manner in which this mod is created is such that a crash is HIGHLY unlikely.

@meader.michael: This mod does not alter dungeon light levels. The supporting mods recommended in the description do so, and if you installed one of those, that's what you're experiencing. Uninstall whatever lighting mod you installed (other than mine) and you should have your dungeon light levels back. Please be sure to read the mod description carefully - it details all of this.
retrograde 31 Agu 2017 @ 12:27am
Does it crash with already existing enbs
QuirkyQ 23 Agu 2017 @ 8:03am
