How do you change the teams competing in the world cup? (ie USA, Holland, etc.)

how is panama and tunisia in the world cup and italy arnt

@theBani, Germany has a weird thing with FM, unless you load a mod or special files you can't manage Germany and Germany never has it's actual players. It's due to copyright and stuff.

Just curious, will this have any affect on say a 2022 (and onwards) World Cup if loaded on a save?

@Jack Noone fan 45 - When setting up a new save, if you go to advanced settings and load all the World Cup nations individually (and tick 'Current national team players') then you can manage all the 32 teams and the national players should be available for selection too :)

Could you explain (or link me a video) how do you run a simulation from the very beginning ? I'm very new in this game and I'm a bit lost.

Many thanks for clearing that up for me @kingpazza. I have played several WCs now, and the same thing happends every time it seems. The group C and D are opposite of the real WCs knockout round, and the same with E and F. Is this a FM bug then? I was under the impression that the latter stages of the knockout round was set, depending on wich group you were in, and if you won it or got second place. Like a uefa drawn up knockout round.

@oystein I can't do anything about the knckout rounds, the tournament rules are set by Football Manager themselves. All I can do is change the teams in the Group stages. However, I am pretty sure it is in line with the real World Cup.

I left some comments, that are deleted. If you change sides in the knockout round tree of the winner and runners up claches of group C, D and E, F I think it was in the knockout round. Then it will be as it is in the real World Cup kingpazza. I hope you fix it, since I really enjoy your work.

Why aren't the knockout round three selected as it is drawn? Is it a FM thing or? Cause the Round of 16 is allready drawn, Match 50: Group C winner vs. Group D runner-up.

@johannbimir - I have looked into this and I don't think it's possible to have the correct fixture order unfortunately.
