Hi I was wondering if you could make a guard dog that will guard any house not just the ones for player owner houses for skyrim..that will stay at the house and guard it and not follow unless asked.? And can you make it a husky?

Theres a mod that makes existing dogs essential, but I havent found anything like home dogs on either Bethesda or nexus. your mod is well liked , i'll keep an eye out for it thanks

For those whose dogs stops responding once you have sent him home: I have the "Amazing Follower Tweaks" installed and I find that it takes care of the problem for me. The dogs have started to respond for me again.

Mr. Saibots, I love this mod you've made, but I've noticed a problem. Once I send Ragnar home at breezehome, (and I'll be right outside the house when I do this) he'll go in the house all fine but when I go to ask him to follow me again, I can't talk to him; no talking menu appears. He will just bark at me. Is there any way this can be fixed because I want to take him on further adventures with me, but I don't want to have him follow me on every quest.

Once this has happened, I'll turn off the mod and log back onto the game for a sec. Ragnar of course won't be there since the mod is off. Then I'll log off the game and turn the mod back on. Once I've turned it on and go back onto Skyrim it will be fine again. i just don't wanna have to do that every time.

This is exactly what I've been looking for! Could you add a feature to name the dog your self? And just something I thought would be cool would be that the dog isn't there automatically. You have to buy it the Jarl's housecarl as a house add one. I don't I just think that would be cool.

ProfDoctorMrSaibot: the scripts allready exist in the game the man at the markarth stable sells a dog that he trains so a dog pound is posable if you want one. i have had the mod for ages and i hardly ever use them i just leave them at home as they get in my way when i go thrue tombs i end up telling them to get home it is not just your dogs it is every dog in the game they block the door ways and somtimes prevent me running away, and also if you have a look at the marrage script you will find a attached script and be able to get the dogs to go to the house you wish just like your spouse dose

Would you make a separate version where the dogs are NOT essential? This used to be the ONLY mod that dogs weren't essential in which is what I want. That would make everyone happy and we would love you more.

I'm now having the same problem as Warbucks. I told my dog to go home so I could do the Goldenglow infiltration mission, but now when I try to talk to him again there's no dialogue.

Would it be possible to include a way to rename the dogs? Maybe by interacting with a collar item or something. The current names are good, but people who aren't playing Nords may want to give the dogs other names for immersion purposes.

please leave it from essential... or its broken and not realistic, its cool that it can level up, but must be something like is dead and you can take another.. with immortality is like playing with god mode no fun... throw it forward and wait forever (all die)...

I love this mod! There's a bug with level 4 vampires, though. I was in my Riften house at level 4 vampire, and the dog went hostile and my spouse attacked the dog.

Ok I have not had much luck this the dogs and horses in this game.I think you should be thank for trying to make the mod and I do because I am not computer wish so it whould be something I chould not do.That being said I hope that you of someone can do this mod with house dog in mind.All the mods I have tryed get me a dog who leaves when I leave it to long.They dont just move around the house.They sit in one place and bark way to much.I will keep an eye on this mod and try it later because it is the best one so far.tks

I'm lvl 8 with no other follower mods loaded. Dog shows up in Breezhome & wonders around, but he won't follow me & there is no dialog..he barks when clicked on, but that's it.

This is a feature put in the mod if the dog cannot appear in the house for some reason.

One little thing to mention is that I have noticed that in Vlindrel Hall, Oscar only hangs out by the front door. I'm not sure if its just random or what, but it would be nice for the dog to actually come into the main area of the house.

It may not be your mod at all, just mentioning it.

I know it might break the realism, but it would be nice if "A" the dogs didn't die, or "B" you had some way to replace them if they did. Just throwing out some thoughts. I know that im less likely to bring the dogs if every time i have a big fight they might die.

Great lil mod, adds more life to my house and immersion which is fantastic. My dog does not respond to the name Ragnar any more, (well Mjoll calls him "stupid dog" and hes getting a complex lol) :)
