I did actually have a new Tank mod idea involving one of the Neebs Gaming guys. That is only in the idea phase until I decide if it's a good fit.

I use the Tourettes Tank mod "Tourettes Guy Tank" created by [DFS] AxMan and for the Jockey I use "Jockey The Hallway Monitor" by Tя!cky ツ That is Cartman as the Jockey and I think it fits perfectly. It's a little repetitious for probably the same reason mine is, so I can't judge it too harshly for that and it's really hilarious when he dies.

Oh wow, that's exciting. I'd say a separate mod would be best. It's a shame that it isn't possible for someone to fully customize the voice lines themselves. It'd be cool if mods could just provide a selection of voice lines and let players sort out which ones they want. But having two options is better than having just one, at least.

As a separate note, do you have any plans for voice mods beyond just boomers? (Or alternatively, do you have any recommendations for other mods of the "special infected played by x" style that I could try? Aside from boomers, obviously. I'm trying to put together a cast of recognizable personalities, but I'm not totally sure where to start. I think I've got jontron on charger? Or maybe Smoker. Those are the options. The tricky thing is finding a different person to voice each special infected, so that I know which SI I'm hearing. On top of that, I've gotta find one for each SI, and who knows if anyone's made anything good for, say, the Jockey?)

In the meantime though, the content for the current mod is actually WAY more varied than you tend to hear. (I always use my own mods to listen for problems to fix) I have more lines in there than the game typically plays, and if I could figure out how to make it play the more rare lines, it would instantly feel like an update. Aside from that, I have been thinking about releasing a different one and renaming this one "Classic", because I have my fav lines too XD It's hard to choose which one to dub out!

As someone who still uses my mod, would you prefer an update to the current Boomer or a new one with all revised lines?

@Doom Zero, And to me, it's actually as or MORE awesome that people still play this game and that someone still uses my mod <3

I did create a joke female boomer I had planned on releasing this April (you can guess which day) but in light of everything that was happening at the time, it seemed a little inappropriate I guess. Not the content in there at all (I <3 profanity, lol) but to be succinct, *I* thought we weren't ready to laugh at the time. Collectively, that WAS true then, and I remember very few internet April fools jokes this year.

But here from July, I see I should have because our own real life apocalypse of sorts is not going anywhere, so it's OK to laugh at things in the meantime. Maybe even more important than before.

I still want to wait until next year to release that one now, and I am a patient woman so that won't be difficult for me. And unless someone reads these comments (thank youuuu) they wouldn't know they were missing out.

@Anivasion Any news on an update to this? It's awesome to see workshop creators still caring about their mods even after all this time, and I have to say that this one in particular is my favorite among all the special infected voice line mods I've tried, almost to the point of ruining all other voice line mods for me. My standards are just too high after using this.

Whether you've got updates on the way or not, I just wanna say that I've gotten so much use out of this mod over the years. Thank you so much.

(PS: The "Thanks for the fucking sound effect, I know, I'm dead" death line is just so potent, man. I love it.)

If the other infected has Michael's voice lines, that'll be more hilarious, great sound mod.

@Barry ; A couple things to unpack here, let's do it in order of importance. There should be nothing in the mod that would reduce the volume of the female boomers. Does the Boomer mod turn red in your Add-Ons when you load in the mods? If there are two mods competing for the same file, it could have an unintended result like you are mentioning. Do you have another mod running for boomers?

Onto the second point though; I have to admit I have REALLY dropped the ball on updating this. I have had an idea for the female boomers that I worked on to about 25% completion and then it hit the back burner. As a sign of the times, I am getting back into this game (I sympathize with the NPCs!!! ) and I have a renewed interest in updating. After I do, I would love to hear from you if you still experience the same problem. (Which I cannot replicate)

Are the Female lines in the mod yet? They are either not in the mod or super low volume for me. I have no issues telling when a male boomer is around, but the females constantly sneak up on me cause I can't hear them at all.

@ Dr. Krieger Well how could I say no to that :3 Sure and I will make sure they don't share any common files between them. Right now, the female lines are in the current mod...waiting for me to actually utilize them for years. *cough* I will remove them the next update to prevent any conflicts.

Actually, could you add the female boomer lines in a separate mod? I use this mod with the LumpySpacePrincess voice mod for female boomers, so I think that this would cause some conflicts if you added those lines. It would break my fragile heart. Both of these mods are near and dear to me.

@ Dr. Krieger It has quite a variety in the source files. I notice there are ones the game never uses. I know there are ways to change the % priority of the likelihood of a line being chosen but I have yet to try and work that out. Someday I will have to add that to this. It will be after I make the female boomer lines.

A fantastic mod, I just wish it had more lines sometimes.
