since the mod loads as autoconfig, does that mean there is no in-game menu to change options? I cant seem to load it up on the options menu with other mods

is there a way in the config file to add NVGs to the list that give you the hud? wanting to add the IVAS goggles to it, but they're under NVGs
Esquiizofrenia 4. okt. 2023 kl. 11:26
Okay I solved it thanks:steamhappy:

But icons aren't square or diamonds, only dots...
SkytechCEO 31. juli 2022 kl. 12:37
Hey devman, quick question to you. I was wondering if it was possible to make and repack a version of this mod where the settings in userconfig are instead replaced with CBA settings, given that asking players to install things locally can be a bit odd to some.
SSG 1. jan. 2022 kl. 9:00
Further, civilians seems to always be identified as enemy, no matter how close I get to them. Did land me a few collateral damage lol
SSG 29. dec. 2021 kl. 9:27
Hi it seems that the HUD icons are set on the ground while actual unit is on 2nd floor? Found the issue in the showcase "Infantry" with all blue icons for Bravo team on the 1st floor while all of them are sitting on the 2nd...thanks!

Nah dont worry my friend it was my bad. It seems I have (for some reason) part of arma in one ssd and another part with the mods in another ssd. The mod works wonders now. Sorry for the trouble :)
(Placed the userconfig on the second ssd where the mods are)

I just tested the mod with a new install and WS re-subscribe (I deleted and re-installed all files including the Userconfig on my end) and am not having any problems. steamapps/common/arma3 is the correct location for the userconfig folder, inside of which should be another folder named TPW_MODS (He worked on the mod with me) inside of which is a .hpp and a settings file.
MH-Overdose 14. sep. 2021 kl. 17:13
For some reason I am having the same problem as Golden. I used to use this mod but since last year I just cant use it since it'll say that is not able to find the userconfig but it is there indeed. steamapps/common/arma3
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 28. aug. 2021 kl. 15:16
Read the description carefully, it requires a userconfig to apply/boot the mod and control the settings, which is not supported by Steam Workshop. Fix the link or use the Drive link to get the needed file and then follow the instructions.

I can't seem to get it to launch, I followed the steps the file is there but for some reason on launch the game can't seem to find the file do I have to place it in addons folder?
'mante 12. aug. 2021 kl. 7:41
Thank you, that's great.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2021 kl. 15:27
Yep, check the userconfig /settings file and you can change the settings to disable giving the goggles as well as adjust what items the CROSSCOM is enabled for.
'mante 10. aug. 2021 kl. 10:03
Hi, is there a way to prevent the game from giving the tactical goggles at mission start? Also the ability to add more items that enable CROSSCOM functionality would be sweet.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2021 kl. 2:00
I just deleted the mod completely from my PC and re-installed it, it's working perfectly fine in both first and third person, make sure you follow the instructions in the description on the Workshop carefully, do the extra step there (the Userconfig folder) and make sure you are wearing one of the CROSSCOM items- you will automatically get Tactical Glasses added to your loadout on mission start.

Pitstop Fox 24. nov. 2020 kl. 5:35

MSFMiller 23. okt. 2020 kl. 10:29
Is there a version of this that doesn't have any required gear like tactical glasses?
CY3ER MISFIT 17. okt. 2020 kl. 17:43
How do i get the media file server side?
Wardogleader59 12. sep. 2020 kl. 21:22
Having problems where friendly forces show up as hostiles unless they are part of my group or I spawn them in zeus...any ideas? Checked the config and everything is colored correctly

CO1- Watchful Yeoman (Ghost Recon remake mission) Updated-
Updated to better support Singleplayer gameplay- Merged the seperate squads and added Team Switching in SP.
Wardogleader59 13. maj 2020 kl. 18:21
I'll mess around with them some more. Thank you though!
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2020 kl. 18:21
In that case I don't think there's an option. You could try changing the colour values of the outlines or increasing the distance they show at to improve visibility then, most of the settings are user configurable.
Wardogleader59 13. maj 2020 kl. 18:17
I tried that but in only increased what was attached to my hud, but not the symbols that get attached to the units I am looking at.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2020 kl. 18:02
You can indeed increase the size of the HUD, it's found in the .hpp file that you placed in Userconfig. Scroll down to line 140 and change

tpw_hud_scale = 0.8; // HUD scale. > 1 = larger

to something larger than 0.8.
Wardogleader59 13. maj 2020 kl. 17:58
Is there a way that I could go about increasing the thickness of the IFF symbols? I have some difficulty seeing and while this mod help me out a bunch it's still very hard to see the symbols when the enemy/civilian/friendly is far from me.
Pitstop Fox 28. apr. 2020 kl. 14:51
the server completely broke and the control panel is done for because of the mod what do you meannnnnnn
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. 2020 kl. 21:50
I just tested the mod myself and had no issues, and no-one I've spoken to has had the same issues with this mod in two years.
Pitstop Fox 27. apr. 2020 kl. 19:28
the hud somehow crashes the server completely when i use it.. idk why its happening but its literally unuseable..
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 2. apr. 2020 kl. 18:27
Does the server have the mod as well? It may inherit from the settings on the server side. I tested the mod with a bunch of guys and it all worked fine, but we only tested all clients + server with it, not a mix and match or anything.
LibertySandwich 2. apr. 2020 kl. 18:12
Im having this weird issue with it on my server. The markers for both friendlies and enemies wont display, and it seems to ignore my settings in the userconfig. All of it works fine in SP. Any idea why it might be doing this?
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2020 kl. 14:22
I'm sorry about that, I had fixed the civilians a few months ago but hadn't published the changes. I'm updating with new userconfig links now, to make the civilians properly display as allies.
saitenspiele 28. mar. 2020 kl. 6:37
Hi,
first of all, amazing work!
I encountered a somewhat unexpected behaviour and thought I'd share the issue and my current workaround.

Issue : Hosting on my local machine everything is fine, but when I run the same mission on a dedicated server this happens: If I change the resistance faction to be hostile towards west and friendly towards east in the editor the hud will show civilians with the hostile color , even when standing right next to them and revealing them myself.

This even happens in the simplest of missions (VR, just one civilian and the previously mentioned faction settings) and is reliably reproducable.

Current worakround : In the initServer.sqf of the mission I added

civilian setFriend [west, 1];

and now it's working as expected.
I think it's a little odd/unexpected behaviour and thought I might share :)

Could you possibly make a Crosshair like the Style of SOCOM 2 for 3rd person use?
sneezemonkey 8. aug. 2019 kl. 21:39
oh must have still been using some old userconfig file then. thanks downloaded the current one.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 7. aug. 2019 kl. 2:49
That should be a option the players can edit in their own userconfig, I just have it enabled by default, just swap it to off.
sneezemonkey 7. aug. 2019 kl. 2:48
could you make it so that the auto give glasses can be turned off in the userconfig? I want to make a scenario that makes the player work for them.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2019 kl. 16:49
Not really, the point of this version was for people who purely wanted the HUD, without any other features/extras like the camera or units.
Rooster 21. juni 2019 kl. 11:45
Any chance of adding the over the shoulder camera in with this one?
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2019 kl. 19:19
Steam Workshop does not support Userconfig / settings folders for mods, as they need to be in a different place to the more common @modfolders , and there is nothing I can do to change that, all I can do is offer a Mediafire and a Google Drive link, and then you manually install it.
Rev 20. juni 2019 kl. 19:12
Look sorry again but can you just upload it to steam? My uncle doesn't want his computer messed up neither do I.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2019 kl. 18:50
I will provide a Google Drive version of it then.
Rev 20. juni 2019 kl. 18:49
Hey can you make it so I don't have to download it from media fire its a virus. Like make so you can download from google drive thanks!
Rooster 15. juni 2019 kl. 8:21
I really enjoy this and the other CROSSCOM mod. I don't play without it! Really brings on the Ghost Recon Nostalgia.
tyeckc 11. juni 2019 kl. 14:58
Alright, I'll try that, thank you for the help.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 10. juni 2019 kl. 14:29
Sorry, I use a 16-9, so it's not something had considered. You could try opening the TPW_Mods Userconfig yourself and maybe modifying line 27's data - tpw_hud_offset[] = {0.34,0.26} - to what would work better with a 21-9 manually, but again, I don't have a 21-9 so cannot test that myself.
tyeckc 10. juni 2019 kl. 10:50
I am running a 34" 21:9 monitor, and the mod works great, but the grid and time indicators are not in the proper location on my monitor, the time is cut off and they are too far left (as if I had a standard size 16:9 monitor). I couldn't find a way to fix this, any help would be appreciated.
jarrad96 [4SFG]  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2019 kl. 19:33
The mediafire link is intentionally broken as it's blocked by steam otherwise, you need to combine both parts of the link for it to work. There is no second link, it's just a description of the path to the place where you need to drop the mediafile information.
