Will this be coming out for TpF2?
KMDolph 13 maj, 2020 @ 4:53
Please update these locos and all the other Australian NSW stuff you've made for TF1 to be included in TF2 Workshop!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
kranyarssk14 10 maj, 2020 @ 18:59
I hope you update this for TPF2!
Rafn 14 feb, 2020 @ 12:28
I am not worried about this being Australian - I would like to see it ported simply because it is one of the highest quality locos on the workshop.
Olde&Grumpy 14 feb, 2020 @ 11:55
Will you be porting or allow a modder to port your work to TPF2? We are desperate for Aussie rolling stock
Krugar 22 aug, 2019 @ 3:09
the 3801's boiler has been repaiaired wont be too long now before we see the 3801 back on aussie rails !

The reason why the 38 streamlined ( 3801-3805 ) had less power, was identified by a fireman imported from Bathurst, which was rectified a few months later. see, the streamlined, as they came out of the shop, were nearly impossible to stoke to keep up steam at 245 PSI, their designed operational output. the reason for this was discovered by the fireman, after asking to inspect the Blastpipe on 3801.

he discovered that the Blast pipe's shape was wrong, and not cleanly letting the steam clear the chimney's apron, which catches the steam and sucks it out the top. this meant that the draught on the firebox was adversely affected. with the blastpipe redesigned, the streamlined 38's were just as powerful as their unstreamlined cousins, though the unstreamlined were easier to maintain because of not having to remove said streamlining for maintenance, which could also be reflected in the game. it could also be a later retrofit version of the 38's streamlined with the restored power

Beautiful work. Also I think this is the first workshop locomotive I've seen that looks good in just about any color available ingame.
DannyT  [skapare] 23 apr, 2018 @ 0:53
The person who is going around all my mods giving me a negative rating please explain what I have done wrong for you ? If there is anyway I could fix things for you ?

If this keeps up I will reconsider where and when I release my mods... Be nice, I have spent countless hours working on all these train mods with my own time and fork out my money for softwares and tutorials, been doing this since the game was released... If for whatever reason I don't get my exposure because of this, things will change !
DannyT  [skapare] 17 apr, 2018 @ 3:55
We shall see if we get even larger map after patch, I also would like to see beyond the Blue Mountains !
Olde&Grumpy 16 apr, 2018 @ 20:17
I enjoyed the ride from Central out to Penrith! Great work id love this map! Ive got the Early Sydney map but would love one of the Western Sydney and Lower mountains
DannyT  [skapare] 15 apr, 2018 @ 20:32
I once read from somewhere that the unstreamlined C38 is the better version of the class, it seems logical because they were built only after all streamlined version were built, any flaws may have been discovered and improve upon on unstreamlined ones.

They were running uphill during heritage runs, and was said that the unstreamlined engine really assisted where otherwise streamlined engine would struggle. In some old footages you can see the untreamlined engines were used in many freight assisting runs, that seems to suggest that the engine have better power level.

Its my preference that both engines have different stats so to allow the players to decide what operations the train should run on, its more interesting that way :)
Monty 15 apr, 2018 @ 3:36
Is their any reason that the streamlined locomotive has less hp (400 hp is a massive difference) when the two were mechanically identical?
USAFflight19 4 apr, 2018 @ 6:41
3830 looks like a new haven I5 class
DannyT  [skapare] 17 mar, 2018 @ 18:14
I am so glad you notice the detail !

I think it is possible to make it even more accurate in the future, because the Sydney map I made at the time wasn't to the real world scale ( instead more like 1:2 ) even at the biggest map size possible... There were still missing slip switches between Redfern and Central ( though slip switch was available from a later patch only after this layout was created )
HFitty 17 mar, 2018 @ 18:02
OMG... the video is from Sydney Central, passing through Redfern with the LES in the background & the fly-under for engines to run to 'the shed' . Well done sir :)
USAFflight19 24 feb, 2018 @ 19:15
Yes this is the one loco that keeps the new haven railroad in new yorks locomotive that looked like this but all got scraped into transport fever(i'm from the usa)
DannyT  [skapare] 3 feb, 2018 @ 18:42

omg, thankyou Danny! These are excellent mate!
Would you mind doing a V set please for our long electrified runs? The A sets are awesome on shorter runs. :)
81GNUT5 29 jan, 2018 @ 0:24

DannyT  [skapare] 28 jan, 2018 @ 1:03
I was looking at it as well, but my todo list is long, first South Aust train I will make will be A-city.
Kpen 28 jan, 2018 @ 1:00
thoughts on next iconic aus loco? I was thinking maybe SAR 520 Class locomotive ;)
DannyT  [skapare] 28 jan, 2018 @ 0:29
Haha, I only said "One of the ", there are plenty of iconic steam loco in Oz, S-class being the first high speed ones ! Unfortunately none were preserved but did promote other steam locos' preservation.

I still believe 38 class as pretty iconic with the use of bold green and gold Australian colours, you can recognise the train from miles away, whereas other class are less colourful. S-class is truely streamlined though, while 38s are only partial.
A66 27 jan, 2018 @ 23:04
no no no most iconic steam loco is aus is a VR S class
Kpen 27 jan, 2018 @ 21:46

DannyT  [skapare] 26 jan, 2018 @ 23:06
no not yet, my older comment has a link to my todo list... if you guys are curious as to what my current task and current progress, you should check the list out, not a big list, just 4 locos.
Zander 26 jan, 2018 @ 22:59
hey mate are u doing wagons?:steammocking:
DannyT  [skapare] 26 jan, 2018 @ 22:31
I went out today to research about the coach used with 38s, as I have little knowledge on code reading, it consist of mostly 3 letters, first letter means first or second class and that the consist lengths are usually 5, 7, 8 cars. Probably gonna visit the museum at Thirlmere to check the real ones out !

While I make other locos, the reseach will continue, the coaches will come eventually !
Aussie 26 jan, 2018 @ 20:57

Apex_Kangaroo 26 jan, 2018 @ 19:44
